  1. I'm glad most of you can see this for what it is.. I will PM you to find out your details to see what the call was about. Thanks Ollie
  2. Good stuff, thanks for the feedback! Ollie Sky Insurance
  3. Not my place.. I quite like it.... Not really.. It's orange for starters!
  4. Have you tried the official club insurer for a comparision ? Any mods on the car? Are they covered?
  5. Has anyone got the balls to email him a link to this thread?
  6. Bit of a difference between Barrichello and Button. I wonder how this was justified! I also wonder whether the drivers themselves are aware of what their team mates/competitors get paid?

  8. That's quite funny, for you! Nice avatar.. I have it in my mind that this is actually what you look like?
  9. We can only go by our underwriters claims stats, unfortunately we have little or no say when it comes to which areas are restricted/excluded etc. Each underwriter will have their own stats. We questioned one particular area recently and asked for the exclusion to be lifted but were told there was a significant level of fraudulent activity in the area and our request was denied On a personal note, I find it frustrating and I have a similar problem. I live in St Albans, quite an affluent area. I live off the beaten track, and you have to go through an electronic gate to get to my drive way. My postcode is classed as high risk due to being in close proximity to Hatfield, which IS classed as high risk. Also, and I have stated this before.. as a company it is hugely frustrating when you have a customer on the phone who is a perfect insurance risk and you have to say no or provide an expensive price on the basis of the postcode. Also, we can quote in the BD area (as we have indeed done in this case) but usually we apologise and explain to the customer that it is an area which we really struggle with and we would be uncompetitive. Some people push for a price though. Ollie Sky Insurance
  10. All 'BD' postcodes unfortunately. It is rare we 'band' postcodes together. Classic policies - these are more about the customer than the car, eg (usually), must be a second car, kept in a garage, limited mileage etc Trade policies - yes the car is insured on paper.. but if you crash, you'll get 'book' value if you're lucky.
  11. Hi, I've been watching this thread but so far have not commented. Bradford is a completely excluded area for us unfortunately. Our hands are tied on this. Ollie Sky Insurance
  12. Having no MOT could potentially effect/invalidate the insurance so be careful with that one.
  13. People who pay for even the smallest items using their card!
  14. Traders policies are great for TRADERS but not so good for covering the car fully in the event of a claim.
  15. I have a turbo engine converted Mk1 Mr2 (3SGTE) weekend toy, a Corolla T Sport daily driver, and another Mk1 Mr2 on a classic policy. 28 4 years NCB, insurance is £1000 per year, road tax +£600. The killer for me is the repair/service/maintenance on the three cars, especially the turbo. BUT, I love my cars, they make me happy so why not?! Ollie Sky Insurance
  16. Ohhh can we please not have access to this section!
  17. Have you involved us in this? This sort of query would usually be brought to my attention. Please PM me your details Thanks
  18. Glad I'm not the only one.. I dont think you can really put the full blame on the mother here, she only let go for a second!
  19. Surely it would make sense not to have a platform which slopes towards the tracks??!!
  20. Hi, if you do not have a car to replace the Supra with, please send your certificate of insurance back to us with a letter stating you would like the policy cancelled, with todays date and your signature. Sky Insurance 56 Southbury Road Enfield Middlesex EN1 1YB Thank you.
  21. Michael has summed it up well as usual.
  22. As above, you are better off getting insurance at your end or using a trailer to get the car back. You will struggle to find a UK insurer who will help you. regards Ollie Sky Insurance
  23. Price comparions sites are great for standard UK cars, not usually so good for anything imported/modified.
