  1. i looked into that but the cost is still about 2k+ even with cheap parts + labour so thought the 5speed would be a cheaper and different option. I read in a previous thread that the W154 should be mated to a W58 bellhousing to take the torque of a TT lump? What diff would i need for say just the W58 box?
  2. As above is it possible to mate a 5-speed box with the TT lump? And what would the gearing be like, short or long? Also what diff would i need to make it work at the right ratio? Thoughts/comments please
  3. Amidst all the problems ive been having with the car, i was out in it again last night and could only describe it as having weird steering: Bascially when you steer to the right and the NSF loads up it feels fine but when i steer to the left and the OSF loads up it feels heavier to turn in and i can feel the wheel deflecting abnormally (trying to straighten up) as i go over bumps and undulations in the road but the steering wheel remains stable. Although i know i have a knackered lower control arm on the OSF but what would cause the steering to feel heavier turning one way?? Would a dodgy steering rack and/or pump cause this? (BTW the wheel alignment has been done, tyres are ok)
  4. Nice.....How much are they charging for the conversion if you dont mind me asking, PM me if you like.
  5. As Alex said seems like either a bad earth wiring fault or something causing your injectors to stay open.
  6. Whats it like to drive? how does it compare to the soop? was thinking about getting one of these last year.
  7. That would be great Imi, im just next to Heathrow in Heston?
  8. Can i tag along with anyone? My car is fooked as usual
  9. Im interested in one too as i think the majority of peeps who fit aftermarket bumpers remove them. I looked into the race-style towing eyes like demon tweeks sell in their motorsport catalogue. Foliatec (chav accessory company) also sell 3 types.
  10. With the group buy we had last year, has anyone got the spare relay+wiring lying around unused?
  11. As above, bushes/balljoint must be in good condition
  12. Still waiting for my demo Jamie Can i bring the misses along?
  13. My brother used to have An Impreza Type "RA" - the thing was awesomely quick to around 80mph, no wheelspin nothing, just would pull so frekkin hard all the way.
  14. Woiuld love to have gone but 1) Car is fooked 2) Was busy getting engaged
  15. Probably due to the fact that ceramic/carbon brakes needs lots of heat in them to make them bite properly hence why most they may not seem to have much feel, ideal for a track car but not for a road car IMHO. They glow bright orange though when heated up

  19. You dont have to use a gasket, when Paul Whiffin fitted mine he just used a exhaust assembly/joining paste instead, i think you can get a tube from Halfrauds
  20. ....was thinking more along the lines of strapping it to a bike
  21. Awesome figures Jake considering the size of turbo, nice one.
