  1. As a favour I don't mind taking your sup along for the evening, just so it doesn't feel too left out.
  2. WOW. Looks really nice. I really like the bumper, think you should keep it numberplate-less, as it suits it down to the ground Now you seen it properly [ish], is there anything you want to change when you get her? Its so exciting.
  3. It seems like a load of old tosh to me. Family income = high interest in current affairs = low housing - with mortgage = very high educated to degree = Medium couples with children = high have satellite TV = high How does the last one fit in?

  10. Paul, sorry to hear that you sold her. Its a shame. I hope you got what you wanted. ooo and stick around definately.
  11. Most suppliers were sensible had them on proforma................ My sympathies definately to the work force.
  12. Does anyone else think that the Rover 75 looks like a Jag? [or should that be the other way round? ]
  13. But surely that wouldn't work. The reason why a lot of business has been outsourced to china and india is because of the cheaper overheads - IE labour rates for example. Raw materials, specifically metals - stainless steel and copper for example are set on the London Metal Exchange and you can't alter those. If they set up shop over here, their overheads would rocket through the roof, and they would not be able to compete in the same way?
  14. On the other side, it has just made me chuckle........
  15. We used to supply direct to Rover ourselves. As a UK manufacturer it is really tough times to be trading in the UK. Alot of emphasis on eastern block and far eastern companies and major OEMS themselves [iE Ford Group, GM etc] are pushing for suppliers [like us] to look abroad for supply of parts in order to meet their strict cost down targets each year, or lose the business to our competitors - competitors in China etc. They seem to get the best of both worlds, major engineering support and quality assured products and far eastern prices. The Govt should have stepped in with Rover without a doubt, if only to preserve a manufacturing presence in the UK, before it all gets outsourced The whole thing is just depressing.
  16. I can't make either of those dates. This weekend I will be craming for exams, and the following weekend I am supposed to be off to Spain [yipppeee].
  17. Cracks me up every time I see that.
