    Ickle wheels

Have a friend having trouble finding manufacturers of 14" 9J wheels, anyone know an alternative to his current only option of 'Image'?

    Silver A12

Caught a glimps of a Silver one Londonbound on A12 Goodmayes area about 5pm. I was stuck in the 2hr jam after they closed the Clactonbound side.

    What is this??

Might be a DIY immobiliser button, had one on an old Jag on the steering column. Used to be hidden switches but nowadays people don't realise what they do even in plain sight. 2nd pic could be one of those Internal radio aeriels, had one that looked similar myself waaaaay back. Best aerial i ever had. Or could just be passenger eject seat button with telementary flight path sensor.

    Another one

Common factor for me would be 2nd car rather than daily driver. (firm believer in use it or lose it)

    Rear Bumper....

Could always try diffusers that are a tad more discreet on a Vileside, no wait, I want to be the only one with one. Bomex FTW
  8. Going to show me age a bit but the ride to Supe ownerships like this MkIV Cortina, Series 2 XJ6, Prelude EXi, MKIII Supra, Firebird 4.9T, Mr2

    N on an Auto

Some owners may also find like myself that if you join an A road while the car still idling high (on choke as it were). When you do finally begin to stop from traffic, even after 45 mins, the car will still idle high and takes a good minute of being stationary to reduce to warm idle (which doesn't happen much in tailbacks). Sticking it in Neutral when you stop reduces this time to about 5-10 secs. But that's about the only use i've ever found for using neutral during a journey.
  10. Easiest distant visual way is check the rear light cluster. If the 2 red lenses are next to each other, it's J-spec. Very few owners bother with a UK rear light conversion. Edit: Mental note, don't leave the keyboard for extend periods of time after starting a reply before hitting 'post'
  11. Caught up with the black one that visits today, not the chattiest of fellas i've met Might want to stay with black as it saves a lot of hassle with the engine/boot bays. Won't hide the dirt as easy as lambo orange will so expect to freeze your nads off during winter forever washing her.
  12. Was already a bit dark by the time I got home but did a couple with flash, it's import size plate btw, also threw in an old one using a 3/4 plate which was a bit on the small side.
  13. Mines underneath but I had to make spring loaded hinges for it because of driveways/speedbumps allowing it to bend 80 degrees either way. Will sort a pic out if you want to go down that route. Import plate fits v nicely there.
  14. If you're going single then I should be able to hear you before I see you from next week. Oh and watch that Siemen's portacabin around back, it's got a nack for getting in the way after a respray Keeping her black btw?
  15. That would most likely be me. Sounds like I've found the elusive black one I keep hearing about
  16. Just over 6yrs now. Totally stock when I bought it, 80k miles later and done kit, sprayed, wheels, brakes, currently in the middle of BPU. Still waiting for Veyron's to come down to my price range
  17. I'm amazed they managed to come to the misguided conclusion anyone would accept that kind of work. Legal-wise I think you have rejected it (as you naturally have), you have to give them a single chance to put it right. After that you are free to sue and get the work done at their cost at whatever garage you choose. Not sure on this but i think it's illegal for them to trade with the public or employ anyone without insurance, so he's either lying or he's going to have a lot more to worry about when it goes to court. I remember the initial thread you posted when you mentioned a vendetta or grudge against the garage? Sounds like you arn't the first.
  18. Sorry, am going to have to drop out on this. Paypal won't accept my new card details

    Is this normal?

After sorting out changing insurance company i've found out i have had the old girl as a daily driver for over 6 yrs! and still have zero intention of changing or selling. Last car I had anywhere near that long was... oh, a mk3 Soop. I can see a pattern forming.

    Sky insurance

Sky still not giving new customers agreed value. Never got a quote back from A-plan so went with Adrian Flux for £514, all mods declared, like for like and guarenteed buyback as cat C or D. Not too bad for a candy daily driver imo
  22. It didn't come in as a can, was a 1/4 pint bottle so used an airbrush to apply. Goes a long way too, still have 90% left.
  23. Dug out a pic i did, wasn't on a mirror finish or anything but not bad without any instruictions on use
  24. Used this when they called it mirra-chrome a few years back. It's certainly got the right shade and reflectivity of chrome but for me lacked a little on the actual defenition of the reflection. That last part is all down to how good you can get the basecoat black, if you can do a mirror finish then the killer chrome spray will look pretty much like the real thing.
  25. Yellow tops are most popular for ICE because they're deep cycle, basically means they can deliver the power longer while not being charged, official use is winches etc on 4x4's. Red tops are for high crank amps and blue are a cross between red&yellow, still fine for ICE tho
