  1. Carbon bonnet parked up for a morning paper not far from the station on Thursday
  2. Might have been me, didn't notice anyone trying to injure themselves on van doors this morning though
  3. The one at Rawreth industrial estate get mine too for the majors and big mods. Can't quite remember the name off the top of my head, think it's Westfield.

    Silver UK A127

I'm a daily driver along that stretch, explains why she's always so filthy . Don't remeber seeing you before though, just a red and black along that stretch that blank me.

    Silver UK A127

Shared a thumbs up as you waited to turn off @A130, anyone on here?

    BMW Drivers

BMW drivers are a godsend, they HAVE to be infront so you can nudge them up in leptons and then use them as advance warning for the boys in blue, a beautiful relationship if ever there was one

    Change car?

20 quid for 40 miles is more like serious problem rather than just plain daft tbh. 20 quid in my TT will do for 80+ miles. (Never drive like an angel btw) Edit: It a bad sign when i can completely understand the background Jake?
  8. Lol, I owned a MkIII which was a v nice car.... now i own a MkIV and love it a hell of a lot more, nuff said.
  9. Had an all but windscreen tint of 65% for almost 2 yrs now for a daily driver. Never had a tug for it (I think they only worry if it's a pisstaking tint) although they 'may' get shirty at nightime, so just roll the windows down. On another note... I've never needed to wear sunglasses since. So is it safer to have a tint on door glass or wear 90% shades while driving that does the windscreen too...?
  10. What about one that used to be red but has been resprayed a different red? Would i be shunned by the masses for being a turncoat?
  11. I would have thought after half a mile of stop/start creeping along traffic they would realize the car infront would probably become stationary soon, lol. Not sure about the bike idea though, I know i'll either lose my licence or kill meself on one
  12. Twice now since the old girls been facelifted i've had a rear shunt accident in a traffic jam happen right next to the window (scares the c**p out of me thinking it's mine). I'm hoping some of you 2-car owners can reassure me that it's a common occurance these days and people these days just can't see what's 3 feet infront of them at 5-10mph?
  13. Definately another never vote here. 5 years ownership and still looking through the curtains

    Dremel?

I got a dremmel pro. No idea if it'll polish pipework but compared to some others i've tried it's a bloody animal in comparison (some from Maplins stopped trying to cut through a paper cup, lol). revs adjust from 5k to 33k Been very handy although it'll go through the 'bits' quite quickly on anything metal

    Rear ends

Veilside do a complete rear end as part of their 'Drag' kit (fibreglass, but that didn't stop me )
  16. They still great after 4yrs, 60k miles. Disregarding service costs I think i've shelled out £30 for a new battery for faults/failures.... the modding cost in that time was a killer though
  17. Yikes, didn't know Nemesis had died. Looks like I got my wheels from them just in time. Is their candy-sprayer Carl still in his own place opposite, anyone know?
  18. I'm not 100% sure on this but sounds like it's purely the modem can't find an ADSL signal on your phone line, i don't believe it's driver/software settings dependant. Since it used to work I would say get the phoneline checked and/or borrow a mates adsl modem and try that. Had it myself last year and it turned out to be Mr BT buggered it while installing a line for someone else, took the basts 2 weeks to fix it tho
  19. Anyone know for sure if a strut brace will fit ok under a Jun aero bonnet? Got my eye on a TRD one but since they argue with UK bonnets i'm not sure if it's an option. The bonnet does clear the present 'worlds crappiest heatsink' left over from my old UK bonnet if that's the part that gets in the way?
  20. 22 Another Red one here

    candy apple red

The candy topcoat is only one shade of red... apple red. There is however a good 30 different bases, the most common being silver/gold as it's the easiest basecoat to get the light reflection needed to show candy's effect but the shade change is much less as a result. Given the UK's chances of brilliant sunshine you can see why silver/gold is the most popular Now a mirra-chrome basecoat would be interesting...

    candy apple red

I had the same story when i tried to find someone to spray mine candy with the car colour code. Candy isn't your normal spray one colour paint, so try your hardest to find someone who knows exactly what candy paints are and has sprayed them before. You can't patch a candy for scratches etc. A mark means a full respray just like flip although i 'heard' you can get away with just a side sometimes. Expect a decent hike in your insurance in other words
  23. Every day this past week heading to Rayleigh, either a new owner or changed job/route?
  24. Front wheels sit just a tad over 2 inches away from the arch, it is larger than the rear gap but hardly anything in it. I think you may have found the problem there.
