  1. Do you live in Hedon? Sure I've seen your plate there a bit back...? I'm in Keyingham with plate "H8 CYA" Silver Soop with veilside kit. Grant
  2. I live just outside of Hull and have seen that one before too... Anyone owning up...
  3. I might go down to my local Chav infested motor store / halfrauds and ask to listen to a few, just to be a tw*t like and make some noise I really do need a new one as how the hell are you suppose to give some one horn abuse when all they do is laugh at you... hehe
  4. I had a similar experience e few years ago but I was 130 miles or so away from home and the parents were on holiday! cover had expired a few weeks back and was gone 2:00am in the morning. Was a 1997 Celica and the clutch had totally burnt out Spent about an hour shouting and stomping up and down but there was nothing I could do at all. Had a friend who does amatuer rallies and he has a low trailer etc but he had been out on the Raz and I couldn't raise him! was cursing his innocent sole as well. I ended up sleeping in the bloody car till morning when my friend woke up and listened to his 50 odd messages and he came and trailered me home. I hate being stuck when I cant do anything about it. Needless to say my AA cover is now renewed automatically by DD. Hornet
  5. OMG, I hope you haven't wrecked the Supra Rep. by using the horn in public. Its only supposed to be used during MOT Nice aftermarket ones could be a good discussion though.... Hornet
  6. Yeah got me FMIC and brakes done PS. I said it to the other to members 1st
  7. Nice artwork skills there Trig, I love the look of CF bonnets on Silver cars (mines on order) I'm still unsure to whether I like the Pulsar bulge though. I dont think it looks bad or anything just could look better.
  8. I would agree with Alex on this one, If you want to cool stuff down then airflow is the way to go, get loads in from the front and expell at the back, this way no hot air is buzzing around under ya bonnet (whats left of it, that hole is huuuGGEE!) I think it will look much better when its black BTW or even CF looking.. Hornet
  9. I like the models to show the event and what happened. Just goes to show though that if your stupid enough to race through a turned set off lights what is likely to happen.
  10. I love dogs and you guys have some lovely pooch's. Just cant have one at the moment as i don't have the time so it wouldn't be fair.
  11. Happy Birthday "Chilli Boy" & Eatpies99" Damn good date to have your birthday Hornet (28 today)
  12. I only do business in my local area of east Yorkshire which is why I would always suggest contacting an Independent advisor in your area
  13. Way too many cars in my past but the 1st car was a metro 1.1 which lasted 2 weeks. But then got a Mini and had the MG 1300 turbo engine put in it. SPent thousand's on that mini and loved it
  14. Your best bet is to shop around Chris! Find a local Independent Mortage advisor or Financial / Mortage advisor and have them give you some quotes. Make sure any advisor you speak to is "MAQ" qualified or at least "CMAP" they will know what you mean. You could also save some money on your life cover and other insurances through them. Best of luck matey, if you need any help or have any questions on anything your not sure about you can PM me and I'll give you my tel number. Grant (Financial Advisor "FPC Advanced" & Mortage Advisor "MAQ")
  15. I know someone who imports and exports quite a bit of stuff (nothing to do with cars like ) he has had a few little bits nicked before and claiming from the shippers is a bloody nightmare! Your best bet is ring them and find out who to send a letter to. They can't ignore things in writing (supposedly, but they still do) As for supply of ICE you wanna speak to Matt.... I wish you the best of luck matey. Oh, welcome to the MKIVSupra.net Hornet

    help

Yeah, I find I use the MANU button quite a bit. As when your playing about with sliding around corners you need control over the revs and leaving it in auto could make things go wrong. It also helps to use it for engine braking when say your giving it large around the twisties...* Hornet *All driving done by myself which would be considered dangerous or above speed limits are done so on a track or private property
  17. You running Hybrids Michael or stock turbo's?
  18. Happy Birthday Rosie Hornet xxx
  19. Yeah Was me matey, Live in keyingham
  20. Needs some clear side repeaters, apart form that looks nice matey. MANU works like this: Turn off O/D button and turn on MANU.. L = 1st gear 2 = 2nd gear D = 3rd gear Its locks it in these gears and lets you use for engine braking or whatever The "RED" button - Don't EVER push it, its seriously dangerous. Nah not really it simply allows you to take the car out of park without applying the brake. Makes it easier to clean or whatever when its turned off etc.
  21. Very nice bonnet, is that the Top secret one? Where you get and costs? (if ya dont mind me asking, PM if ya do )
  22. He could donate to my charity "Hornet's Supra Fund"
  23. An idea for driving test changes 1. Pass the standard test and your allowed to drive as usual for 1 year or until you pass the advanced driving test whichever is sooner. (so you can only drive after the 1st year if you have an advanced driving license. 2. A seperate test for any motorway driving 3. Additional tests for people with cars in different high powered / sports cars - say 400bhp plus have to have had "X" amount of experience in lower powered cars before allowed to drive higherpowered ones unless a test as done - Similar to motorcycle tests. 4. Revisionary tests every 10 years and every year over age of 50. IMO the above would ensure the people driving would actually be able to drive properly and wouldn't be so nervous due to confidence. Also they would be more aware of other road users (though BMW drivers would have to have their own test as they really need extra help in this area). It would also mean that people / in-experienced drivers wouldn't have so many accidents which in turn would bring our insurance costs down. So the above is just ONE big change to the driving tests procedures Just my 2p worth - hehe Hornet
