    New Girl

Hello and Hehe as soon as I saw 6 pages of welcomes I realised we must have another female among us.... And the "Miss" bit on the name gave it away too Nice looking car you have there

Exactly my view. Yes it's illegal and wrong, but who exactly was the victim here? I'm betting he isn't going to be scarred for life by this
  3. Great story! Good to see this thread ressurected, it's great! I have a mate who worked in tesco's unloading pallets etc off of the lorries... early one morning he tried to take a short-cut round the barriers that prevent people getting run over. He ran at the nearest section of barrier and attempted to super-hero style vault over it with one hand. The barrier wasn't secured in any way to the others so it collapsed under him, projecting him hand (and face) first into the concrete. He looked like he'd gone 10 rounds with Tyson for a few weeks after that
  4. Nice one, looks good As Jake says, some facelift goodies like indicators would look great, oh and facelift rear lights, quite cheap and make a big different IMO.

If I went to that school maybe I would've paid more friggin' attention in class!
  6. Actually I've just thought of one my sister dealt with a few years ago. Whilst she was at work her Micra had a concrete block chucked through the back window, irrepairably damaging the tailgate which needed replacing. After much haggeling with the insurance company they agreed to take it to a proper Nissan dealership to be repaired, rather than the cheapo cowboy garage they had in mind. After a couple of days of waiting she calls for an update to be told by the dealership "There's a low-loader just pulled up to collect it for repair" WTF? It turns out that the insurance company had decided to quietly ship the car off to their much cheaper garage to have the repairs done, then move it back to the dealership afterwards so she'd be convinced the work was done by them.
  7. Yeah, the plot was just as good as the first one I thought And some proper cringy moments too
  8. May be a long shot, but do your interior lights still work? When I took my dash apart I blew the fuse for the interior lights and it more or less knocked out the speedo too It'd jiggle slightly now and again but no more than that.
  9. Aww bugger, sorry to see this Another UK meets it's maker.
  10. On a geniune TRD it's good plate Well done mate.
  11. Really sorry to hear this Execute them and burn the bodies to solve the energy crisis?
  12. Sorry Rosie, just seeing if anyone can beat yours
  13. Mr Lover's thread regarding a wheel falling off at 70mph got me thinking about everyone else's experiences with cowboy garages. Personally I've been very lucky and never had what I'd call a monumentally bad experience, but I was turned away from a wheel alignment centre because my Ford Mondeo was apparantly "too low" to fit on the ramps The fact I was also under 25 also led me to believe I wasn't welcome in their establishment so I left. So bring it on..... lets hear your stories.
  14. Heard some horror stories about quickfit type places... one guy on the mondeo club took his car to a cowboy garage to have the front disks replaced - they took off 3 wheel nuts and proceeded to use a rubber mallet on the alloy to bash the "stuck" wheel out of place.... until the owner pointed out that there were 4 wheel nuts.
  15. Would certainly be a journey to remember (for good or bad reasons!). You only live once To be possibly the first to drive a Supra in the Canaries? I say go for it!
  16. Each to his / her own mate, personally I'd have a look at a few and then decide..... everyone on here is likely to recommend the colour they chose Personally I went for red because it was a sunny day and it really stood out against the black and white supras that were there on the day.... but IMO red doesn't look as nice as white when it's overcast and raining
  17. Isn't that car the replica that was crashed into the advertising sign in the first scene? Oh dear I've given the game away.. I'm a closet F&F'er!
  18. Glad to hear you're ok, I think I'd be sueing for the cost of upholstery cleaning if that had happened to me
