  1. Don't think it do any harm, what you got to lose!?
  2. I thought there was a general errosion possibilty over time, if the mist wasn't fine enough would there not be a scenario where, the analergy I think was used to describe it was "the drops of rain hitting helmet visor" if the droplets/mist is fine enough it's hardly felt but when you get big droplet it hits really hard?
  3. Feel like i'm gonna open a can of worms here, but what are your opinions on pre-turbo jet location, providing the jet atomisation is small enough not to cause damage to the compressor, would this not improve the efficiency of the turbo. ie. Widening the efficiency island of the of the turbo charger map by providing a denser air supply to compress at high boost? IIRC a degree of heat is required to commence the air compression, but having WI added as boost level becomes high can as such extend the efficiency map of a particular turbo. Would this pre-turbo location be useful on stock TT set-up where EGT's can soar when trying to run high boost level's where perhaps this would not be as necessary on single turbo arrangements with freer flowing exhaust/manifold arrangement?
  4. Hmmmm, decision's. I assume Black Diamond can't be any worse than stock pads? can they?
  5. Yeah I've heard DBA's and 3G's being praised also stock's being really dependable. I know I wanna avoid drilled cos their prone to cracking around disc holes and I'm unsure about grooved, as I used to have 12 groove Tar-Ox's on my ol Integrale but used to hate the way the pedal felt on light application. It was like each groove could be felt through the pedal, but if having the grooves make enough of an improvement in braking efficiency they I may still go for them perhaps curved grooves of some sort may allieviate the horrible symptoms i'd had in the past.
  6. Thanks for the offer mate but i take it your in Wales? I need some which i can pick up tommorow/later today as going to a meet in the evening. Was planning on ordering a full set of Hawk Brembo Spec from the US! but they may take some time to arrive and i'm still undecided on which discs to go for.
  7. I'm after the cheapest set of Front Brake Pads (ie. Stock/OE) for UK Spec calipers I can pick up near in Essex or North London? I'm not a total cheapskate it's just my front pads are shot and need to use car over next couple of weekends, but I also wanna change my Front discs at some point in nearish future, but not sure on whether to go for Non-OE or not. Current Discs arn't to lipped yet but theres a nasty blue band on faces, I reckon I've overcooked em, feel a little warped through the pedal too. So just need some cheap front pads I can pick up and slap on asap, so i dont end up on metal to metal before I've decided on upgrades.
  8. Cheapest i'd found today was from Fensport a set of Front stock pads for UK Spec Calipers @ £34.00 (£39.95 inc VAT). I decided to pop up to Fensport, near Cambridge, as I had the afternoon off, they shut at 6 and was gonna fit em when I got back, but journey took longer than I antiscipated in the Fiesta (should have taken the Supra!) rang them up bout 5:45, I'd got a bit lost when i was minutes away, bloke misunderstood which way I was heading on a road, sent me back in the wrong direction and when i rang back at 5:55 he said I wouldn't get there by 6 and said I'd have to come back tommorow! I wasn't too impressed as I headed down there anyway and was outside the premisis at 6:05 but noone was around, not going back there again so will try and find somewhere a bit nearer i can pic them up from tommorow. Does anyone know how much stock UK front TT pads should be from MrT should be anyway? Anywhere in Essex i can pic em up from tomorrow? I assumed £34.00 from Fensport was really good but after £10 in fuel there and back and not actually getting them I can't bring myself to mailorder them from there now!
  9. Just realised that was aimed at Trick, silly moi.
  10. I won't be racing dude as I haven't done a thing to the car since my last time I ran, saying that I said that last year at end of year Jap Show and still ran! We should be evenly matched but look of your time PB time;) Haven't had her rollered but i know she's quick Why am I heavier by the way? Yup my PB was actually with all the sounds, spare wheel etc in the car boot (how did you know that?) which I found weird maybe it aided traction i dunno? My one of my rear tyres has reached the wear bars so if i do too much burning out and wheel spinning they'll be illigal be before i head home. Shame i'm frantically trying to get hold of some cheapy front pads before the weekend, just to see me thru until i replace the front Discs and Pads as the last time i look they were looking seriously low, so rear tyres will have to wait till that's sorted.
  11. Did you have a look at your pads then mate, did they need replacing? Sods law i'm after a set of front pads for UK calipers, if you didn't need them and these are still available i'll take em!
  12. I should have one somewhere, though have no idea here it is since moving into my new place, so for now until i come across it it's a no. Sure someone must have one kicking around, sure quite a few people have replaced sets.
  13. You guy's making me wanna sell up so i can join in. Soon be a pre-requisite that you have to have sold your Supra to join. The Ex-mkiv supra owners club
  14. Ahh but your ok as yours is still in Pre-Pink stage as the Red and White parts haven't mixed yet!
  15. Sounds like a good price to me! Wish I was in a position to buy a manual TT at that price, without having to sell my Auto 1st. Like Damon's, mine is also, according to frame No. I think a Feb '06 RZ-S which is also one of the last few Pre-facelift '96 cars.
  16. Shame there's an Aquamist 10% price hike, but with so much interest in the WI be shame not to get a good price on Group Buy on a few kits. Are those prices on website still a guide? I'll be after a 2c system too. Just wondered whether I need something like the Dash Display System 3 to monitor the water flow? Can't see it on the website, is a warning system recommended Chris? Just concearned about setting the car up to be dependant on the WI does the 2c system have a warning of anykind if water supply runs out?
  17. I've only ever driven one of these before and I found it far from user friendly. Remember having to take my shoes off for some reason, think the pedal box area was tiny. Also remember ragging about in it for half an hour desparately hunting around for the electric window switches at every set of traffic lights i came to, wasn't until i returned and parked up I discovered they were somewhere random like on eitherside of the stereo in the dash, with not a switch label in sight on anything I found that bit crap but i guess once you get accustomed to everything it wouldn't matter so much.

  20. Yeah i remember the thread on your woes too, with the interior ruined from where they'd left it outside with panels and glass missing. Looks sorted now tho Yulia, makes me feel lazy for not doing all the things i've been putting off for ages! Tho new mortgage and lack of disposible cash has been my excuse!
  21. Can I put my name down for this guy's or is it too late? Didn't go to the Chavfest that is USC as many of the peeps was going with pulled out due to their cars being in bits after Nurburgring trip, hoping some will be able to make this. I've penciled in the Sat and Sun in to my diary so i'll try and make both (ie Camping). Trying to get some other punters to come as well seein as there's 40 spots on the stand.......... Mikey you up for this should be a laugh especially if camping over.
  22. A small amount of oil expelled from BOV is not terminal for your tubbies, oil vapour breathed from crankcase and such makes it's way back to the intake via the PCV so this can seen collecting around BOV atmoshpere outlet. I suggest clean up area periodically with some aerosol brake cleaner. Is your car UK (i.e Steel turbine) or Jap Spec (i.e Ceramic turbine)? AFAIK reconditioning of Steel turbines is not completely frowned upon all though some guy's would question how reliable they'll be over a new set from Toyota If your Jap Spec with the Ceramic turbines it's bit more complicated issue......... ..............please don't get some of the grumpy resident experienced dudes on here started on reconditioning ceramic turbo's, hybrids and why they're such a bad idea you'll never here the end of it! Better of doing some searching using the search function in the top bar topics been covered a few times!
