  1. Funnily enough, I spotted some wheels on eBay, which are identical to (e.g. they *are*) Wheel Mania Pacifics.. some name beginning with D I think it was. I guess WM maybe have some kind of agreement on being the only people selling them over here, under their own re-badge. Still, the price directly from WM, via their eBay listings, is extremely low anyway (£599 w/out tyres). Bargain.
  2. ah ok I see what you mean. I'm still not havin' it - the condition of the few Jap specs I have seen have been pretty poor.
  3. But it would be a 1997 car if you did that now.. edit: sorry Shanksy, I'm not meaning to say anything specifically about your car or it's mileage, just general discussion on mileage on 13yr old cars & low-mileage imports specifically
  4. What's the supposed mileage on this car then? Call me a cynic, but I think it's just as likely if not more likely that a Jap import would be clocked - perhaps by the importer over here but all the same, it's quite likely. A UK car might still get clocked, but it's not going to get clocked down to 40, 50 or 60,000 miles is it... yet one is supposed to believe a Jap imported car *of the same age* has done half the miles.. Anyhoo, hope the car is ok. I'd hope it to be cheap with tears in the seats and door cards.
  5. Supra came number one in one of the car mags 'under £15k top used car buys' last year.
  6. LOL We all make spelling mistakes but sometimes it starts to get annoying when it's all the time. It's like the Saxo 0wn3rz club are movin' on up to Supras
  7. It's doable without removing the drop links though I think.. and they're the usual difficulty.

  11. Tongue in cheek I suspect and I like it
  12. I've had pretty good luck with just loosening the bolt and wiggling on both a non-airbag and a UK airbag. Sorry you're not having the same luck
  13. Damn.. I'm 25 and still at home with mom! I've gotta find a nice lady to get cosy with All the best for your birthday!!
  14. What is this 'brilliant' metal polish you guys are talking about? Halfords have it?
  15. I wonder why it comes back? Are these things anodised to protect against oxidisation? If so then polishing would be removing that anodised layer. Still, the acid will have done that already.
  16. I think I'm in luck here. Mine are just two-piece wheels. I don't really know what I'm talking about here, but I suspect that means the outer part is a single 'barrel' and just the centre peice comes away.
  17. ? LOL. I'd forgotten about that use of the word.. No, as in
  18. well.. the rays site just says they're 'Forged'. I'm 99.9% certain it's just polished metal, apart from the centre area which is painted of course.
  19. Ah, yes.. I read you talking about Volks in the other (very old I think) post, but the picture was of the Anteras PM me his details!!
  20. I'd be interested in getting his details... I read your other post on them - they looked great. They're the Volks with Antera centre caps aren't they? I've used Prestige Wheels ion umm Derby I think.. somewhere up the A6 past Stockport.
  21. Do you think he means to prevent further damage and make them easier to clean, or to tidy them up now that they're etched/damaged? I've just been reading about waxing.
