  1. Not a-bloody-gain! It's been like three times a day for the last week
  2. Just sign up at this forum and read away.. http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/
  3. Hmm. I'm sure my RS*R was the 'new' one (about a year ago), and although the backbox was stainless, the midpipe was mild steel. Anything that doesn't turn journeys into a tiresome "LOOK AT ME!" episode. Sitting at traffic lights with the air-con on, with an RS*R is just embarassing. It goes. "bu-bu-bu-bu-bu, BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, bu-bu-bu-bu-bu ... [repeat indefinately until the lights turn green and you can move away]"
  4. You don't! Mild steel and far too loud
  5. I was just thinking of the tyre width. Stock UK 17s are 255 on the rear. They look nice anyway
  6. I have a Porter Cable, but the problem I have is that I can't see any swirl marks on my paintwork. Do I need to do it indoors under a bright light or something?
  7. Is there meant to be a picture somewhere? They're not particularly wide are they..
  8. Hi Matthew. Thanks for the advice. I have colder plugs, new fuel filter, walbro pump, boost gauge etc. installed already. I just wasn't sure of the correct size for the ring. I'm close enough to 1bar already so I'll just bore it out a bit once the exhaust has cooled down
  9. Sorry Baz, they've gone to Dodgy.
  10. Who's having them then? I don't know how to check if they're genuine Toyota or not though.. I could have a look later when I'm resizing the restrictor ring. Obviously the price is lower if I'm meeting you as Mascrat
  11. They have about the identical amount of material left on them as the CW pads that I just bought, so basically as per the picture below: £30 including delivery?
  12. I found this, will have a go and report back. The OP said in the end he fitted a 50.5mm restrictor (that'd be 2inch like you just said flukey), and was hitting 1.2bar. I guess it's really rather exhaust dependant too. Mine's not half as free-flowiing as, say, an RS*R GT2.
  13. I know it's not an exact science, but could somebody please tell me what an off-the-shelf 1.2-ish bar restrictor ring hole measures at? I just replaced my second CAT with a 3" decat and restrictor, and the car is making less boost now than it did with the second CAT in place. 3rd gear (auto) 100mph is seeing about 14psi (0.96bar), so I guess my restrictor is meant to be a 1bar restrictor. How big to I need to make the hole? thanks
  14. damn that's cheap Only problem I have now is that the car is making less boost with the second decat (3") w/restrictor ring, than it did with the second CAT in place. Although it sounds great now, and did feel faster (placebo no doubt).
  15. Partially failed an MOT test. Four new tires ordered for tomorrow. £540 ain't bad for 285/35/18 on the rear and 235/4?/18 on the front - Falken FK452s. Passed the emmisions test with only the second CAT in place Fitted a second decat pipe (which seemed to be about half an inch shorter than the CAT that it was replacing Fitted some used CW Fast Road pads on the front. Fitted a new fuel filter. That's two in a row now without any problems I think I'd definately be trying my luck a third time though Done some proper work to pay towards the tires And that's it. Cool.
  16. You could make a very offensive weapon out of a piece of metal in next to no time. I can't see how this helps Might stop teenagers having easy access to them, that's about it.
  17. They would do better just to nick our exhausts. Easy £250
  18. I would, but from what I've read, they'd only recommend the >£50/4litre products for even a BPU Supra.
  19. This one time, I drained my oil, filled up, and drained again later the same day. It came out black again
  20. Mine is not new, sorry. Bearings can be had cheaper from Steve Manley, or Nic if you're prepared to wait a while. Imi has some for sale right now I think.
  21. Ah It's only a windup though mate
  22. Do you have one of these then SonicSoop? You're a bit touchy about people slagging them off?
