  1. little bit out of my price range Chris BTW, I need price for a full set - the rears were smoking just as much as the fronts.
  2. Great. The next track day might be on 1st May so I'll be chasing you up by the end of next week if that's ok
  3. Bugger. I was hoping to get some good (washed!) ones at the next track day, but since that's going to be too late (1st May) I'll have to go with this one: http://www2.css-networks.com/oulton/1.jpg
  4. Is this a trick question? Change them before they're worn out, or if the discs are very worn and have ridges around them, change them before that ridge starts to contact the pad backing plate. I just changed my rear pads and there was only 1.5 - 2mm on them, but I had known for a while that they were due..
  5. I'll keep out of it (see above), but that sounds like it might be about right to me.
  6. oops, I'm not reading properly. Ignore me
  7. Their website only lists the Z-rated pads for the Supra Where's the cheapest place to buy them?
  8. very much looking forward to another visit. I need some brake pad recommendations though. ?
  9. (I'm the gawpy looking one in the passenger seat)
  10. I was there! I was the only Supra there too! Amanda heard some people at the start/finish line fence saying "I wanna see the Supra". Then they were like "aw. Why's he going slow and indicating all the time? :(" I was lucky enough to have my girlfriend's father-in-law with us who's a bit of a pro, particularly when it comes to Oulton Park, and he took me around a couple of times and explained a lot of stuff to me. I didn't get much time in myself but I'm eager to go back again as I have a lot to learn. He said "car feels good" I didn't know a car could go through bends so quickly. It felt great in the passenger seat, really, incredible. Malcolm had his little race car there too, but I just missed out on a go in that because I had to shoot out for petrol, and they closed the track 10 minutes early. It's a ZX-12 engined two seater made by Spire Sportscars. Amanda went in it and said it was incredible. All in all it was a top day. The car loved it - there was smoke pouring from the brake pads after Malcolm took it around for a couple of laps but then it didn't have track pads on it, and the discs had took on a nice bluey tinge We took lots of photos on the camera but they're all on my laptop, so I just have these two for now: http://www2.css-networks.com/oulton/1.jpg http://www2.css-networks.com/oulton/2.jpg
  11. Front crossmember or rear diff.
  12. So this thread will be kept going for the brackets only? Since they're all being sent to Imi, and Imi is taking payment for the aerials, then perhaps it'd be easier if the brackets were just sent out to those on the new aerial GB list. Failing that, Pot needs to fix his post above since he's just wiped about twenty people off the list.
  13. Look, the £4.99 file that I bought from 'Jacks DIY' obviously wasn't up to scratch! I've done it already with the grinding stone thingy

    Gto

It's flashing for me too. Quite irritating!
  15. At Flame & Thunder (November 5th)? Nah, that was a big single, and the doors had been forced back.
  16. I fixed it into the vice and used a grinding stone drill bit. That sounds a bit like what you've just suggested K14 SUP Worked OK, ate the hell out of the grinding bits though!
  17. Flap wheel. Is that the flappy sandpaper thing?
  18. The thick one seems to be stainless. The thin one - I dunno. Looks like it was cut with some tin snips, which... might be what I end up doing
  19. What a frikkin' ball ache! Still not done. I have a poor quality ~0.8mm thick restrictor ring that I was given, and a high quality very well cut ~2mm restrictor ring that I bought of Chris Wilson - just in case it was already big enough for me, and I need a larger one. How the frig do I resize them? Obviously I'm going to resize the thin one, and probably sell the Chris Wilson one since it'll be harder to resize. I bought a half-round file - no chance. I bought a 'rotary file' which is a router-style drill bit - no chance. My uncle says he has some engineers files which may do the trick, and he has vices and drill presses etc so I may get it done there this afternoon once I've finished working. Any tips guys? I took the restrictor out alltogether just in case I didn't need it, and I hit 20.4psi (for a millisecond - didn't even see it on the boost gauge 'til I hit the peak-display switch afterwards).
  20. Hmmm. I've been waiting for the N95 to come out, for various reasons - main one being the size of my E70, and I'm interested in HSDPA, and I like the idea of inbuilt GPS, but.. I didn't know this little beauty existed: http://www.s60.com/life/s60phones/displayDeviceOverview.do?deviceId=1315
  21. Sweet. Downloading it now
