  1. Funny you say that. The kids picked two lines each, and then I stuck a lucky dip on top. Did better than usual - two numbers on a couple of lines
  2. What are the chances.. my lucky dip numbers from last night's lotto: 04 29 46 47 48 49 Could it be that it's not as random as it's supposed to be, not that it would make any difference to the chances of winning or anything.
  3. oh aye Mama Kin, Dream On, Sweet Emotion, old & new I love (nearly) them all. Where's this concert then?
  4. Awesome. Good luck indeed Let us know how you get on.
  5. Just bought an LSI SAS card w/256mb so I definately won't be needing/using this, therefore I'll let it go for £35 + £5 postage just so I can get some money in my PayPal account for whatever I decide to buy next. So, £40 all in. Any takers? It's not a software RAID card, it has a proper XOR processor onboard, or something
  6. Adaptec 39320 Ultra-320 HostRAID Card. It supports only RAID 1 or 0, which is probably good for a workstation/enthusiast anyway. It has a single U320 channel. £70 + £5 delivery = £75. No Paypal fees.
  7. http://www2.css-networks.com/fts150sx4.jpg This is a SATA RAID5 card with four SATA ports on it and 64mb DIMM installed for cache memory. It fits a standard PCI Slot, utilising either 33Mhz or 66Mhz. £70 + £5 delivery = £75. No paypal fees.
  8. I had a fun one the other day. Four brand new computers, plenty of hard disk space. LiveUpdate (NIS 2007) said "Error 18xx: Not enough Disk space". It was only after more than an hour of fucking around that I noticed it very briefly (say 50msec) flash up "Couldn't connect to host" before changing to Not enough Disk Space. It was an iffy/unstable router that was causing LiveUpdate to tell me that there was not enough disk space on the machines. Unfortunately this was not one of my customers and they had already bought the NIS a month or two before (I am looking after somebody elses Maintenance/Contract customers while he's away, and this company was robbed.)
  9. At least he's not asking £7k for it though.
  10. How did you manage that? The only way to launch in 2nd is to have MANU-on with the stick in 2 or D. Is that what you were doing?
  11. You're having a laugh. The speed with which the autobox changes in manu mode is just remarkable. I love it. The only downside to the autobox is launching and lighting up the wheels in general, IMO.
  12. and your English too by the looks of it
  13. Clarkson et al were basing their opinion on a UK spec stock car. I think their opinion would be different if it was a BPU+ vvti motor. Stock Supra's don't have much of a thrill as far as power is concerned.
  14. The copper said it was just a technicality, they probably asked for my license back for some points to be endorsed onto it and I didn't post it, or something. So it was revoked. It may have been re-instated since then, or something. The data isn't that good apparently.
  15. Ah. I'm almost certain my car tops out at somewhere around 120 on the clock. I know that's still naughtly, but it just sort of brings the validity of the speed-estimate into question a little bit. Fair enough. I'm not up to anything sinister though. I'll let the mods do whatever they feel is most suitable if they happen to be passing by
  16. Oh yeah and apparently my license was revoked in 2002, and I have 10 points. First I've heard I thought I had six, and an actual license too.
  17. Get what limiter fitted? The cars are limited from the factory. It's in their makeup. I'd have to have some kind of de-limiter chip to even go beyond 112mph. I'm basically thinking what Pete and Ian said, basically he seemed to be of the opinion that I was "probably exceeding 120mph", and if that comes up in court then I think the speed limit could show that their video was in fact a bit wrong.

LOL I thought you might be impressed with the packaging I used to sell bits and pieces on eBay but I stopped all that some time ago, so I still have loads of bubble wrap left. Girlfriend said the same about the photos. Glad you're happy mate. It's been a pleasure.
  19. Didn't leave an office in Leeds until 21:10 last night and I could sense disheartedness in the girlfriend's voice when I kept ringing saying "I won't be long now", however it took over 45 minutes for a 5minute active directory forest prepartion to occur on this 10yr old server. So I was running late. The copper didn't clock me at any particular speed, other than that on the video he was doing 117mph and still wasn't gaining on me, so from this he will estimate what my speed probably was. He was a nice chap and we got along well. He said I would probably plead hardship being self employed looking after the IT for 20 odd different companies. He agreed I wasn't driving dangerously, just driving with excessive speed. d'oh. Aren't all Japanese imported cars limited to 112mph though? It's just from the video it looks like I was doing over 120, maybe even 130 - 140. Not possible surely? I wasn't looking at the clock, mainly the road, although I suppose at one point it might have been pointing at 120mph, which would in reality be 112-ish mph.
  20. They're ~£200 from Steve Manley.
  21. Doesn't work like that. You get the current market value.
