  1. What do you people use to post large items? I can think of a few things I might sell that will be too big for the Post Office ie Guitar, Roof Spoiler, Boot blind I can't remember the exact dimensions for Royal Mail, but I'm pretty sure these are all too big to post normally, especially once they're packaged.
  2. I think that's what they were talking about? Does that mean putting a red lense where one of the clear lenses is then? So when you're reversing only one light comes on? Sorry - I don't have a clue! Glenn, that looks quality.
  3. You beauty! I didn't want to waste my money getting it done, if it wasn't going to work with my new lights (when I get them!) One other question - I suppose I'll need to swap one of the bulbs though....(?)
  4. OK, tomorrow my car's booked in the garage for a few bits and bobs. I've asked to get the foglight conversion done into the rear lights (pre-facelift) What I want to know is, is all the work done outside the light unit? (All in the wiring? etc) It's just that I want to get them painted & clear lenses on the indicators, which will mean swapping my lights for a set that's already done. So - once this conversion is done, can any set of lights be swapped with mine & still work, without any swapping of bits? Can someone explain in 'village idiot' terminology?! I'd be most grateful.
  5. Bargain! Make sure you pack them up, along with the towel & shower gel! Sounds like fun though - business or pleasure!?
  6. I have this exact same problem! I had my windscreen replaced before xmas, then it came loose so they came and did it again, now at some point it has come loose again. I'm not sure how long it has been like it, but hopefully not too much water has got in to damage anything. I'm going to phone them today. Been meaning to do it for a couple of weeks now
  7. For anyone interested in these, I have posted a set up on eBay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=52638&item=7970376339&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW Let the bidding war begin!
  8. Oh rite, didn't realise you'd sold it! Wonder who it was then...
  9. On Fareham Rd, by Fleetlands this morning. Just about saw the passenger side of a silver Supe. I flashed and got a flash back. Didn't really see who was driving, or if it had a bodykit or anything, just about saw the front light and was past it! Anyone on here? Tigger maybe?
  10. Nice one - found it I didn't realise you could convert it to km/h. Isn't 100km/h the same as 62mph? That'll do me! I'll let you all know how I get on. I'm going to be getting up early tomorrow so will have a blat then
  11. Cheers Rob I've just been on there, but all they've got is the Blitz SBC-ID, which doesn't mention the 0-50 mph etc
  12. Just checked, it's in MPH. I've also got 5/8 mile on there as well, not sure why! Have tried to change them, but no joy. Anyone?
  13. It's definitely in mph. I'll triple check in a minute Does anyone have the instructions to check? I need to get some times tonight!
  14. I can set it to 0-50, 0-100, 0-200 (right!), 1/8 mile & 1/4 mile. As I don't have the manual, does anyone know if you can change the 0-50 to 0-60? How do you do it please?
  15. That seems a good site, might be worth e-mailing them to see if they sell the lenses seperately. I doubt it though, as I'm sure they'll make more money doing the whole conversion themselves. I don't think Jake meant buying the tools, just finding a company whole could 're-create' them! I suppose there'll be copyright issues? Might be worth checking out
  16. When I was on my way back from Portsmouth yesterday & sitting in traffic, I saw... Mazda 323f (these looked a good size) Ford Puma (like Leet said - too small) Renault Clio 02 Honda Accord 04 (maybe too small) Toyota Celica 05 (think they stick out, rather than just a lense) It's raining at the moment, but if it's nice tomorrow or Monday, I might pop down the scrapyard with a ruler and see if there are any of these or others. I suppose they'll need the etched lines crossing down them like the existing ones, so it might prove difficult, but worth a try I guess! Also, I've seen a lot of BMWs with front lights that could have caps that might be similar. Still seems a long shot though
  17. I've got this same problem at the moment - not a fuse though When I had a fight with my wing mirror, one of the (live) wires got touchy with something & has probably blown something somewhere. At the moment the glass mirror moves, but it doesn't fold in. My car's booked in for the 28th, I'll let you know what the problem was then hopefully, if you haven't got it sorted yet.
  18. Done it a couple of days ago cheers Tom One side had the tape, which although made it harder to take the plastic off, was easy to peel off. The other side was some kind of grip-fill! The plastic came off easy, but it took ages to get all the stuff off. I've got very little finger nails left after all that scratching when they're wet! I'll post some pics in a few days, when I've got my new plate delivered
  19. Elliot

    172mph!

LOL, I was about to say it would feel more responsive if you'd had a bit of Stella, & was gonna say what a naughty chap you were, then read it was your friend driving How fast is 172 leptons? around 69mph?
  20. Parked down the road with a CO-OP & video shop at the junction (don't know the name!) It was there all afternoon (I was parked down Sutherland Rd, just off that road) Anyone on here?
  21. Or just getting a ruler to measure the diameter! (might be easier!)
  22. It's only 2 lenses, but they'd obviously have to be the same size. Anyone got a Puma to check!?
  23. Well Ray - Any luck? I thought these big car manufacturers went for the value engineering and stuff, so thought it would be something they'd do to save money. There might even be similar ones on other manufacturers cars, as I know certain car manufacturers swap parts between themselves etc It seems too good to be true though, I'm sure someone will come on and ruin my dreams in a minute
  24. Don't tell the insurers that! He might change his story! I'm not sure what the correct stopping distances are, but maybe you pulled in front a long time before that!? I kind of feel for you both, I can imagine being in the car with nothing in the lane in front, concentrating on the roundabout to the right, then bang! Then again, I can imagine being on my bike (only a 500 mind!) changing lanes legitimately to go round the roundabout, then 'owwch'!
  25. I know somebody somewhere's probably checked this out, but... For the clear light mod, are there any other cars that use the same lenses? You'd think there might be another Toyota car/truck or something. I suppose the easiest thing would be to check the part number (if there is one for the lense!) Has anyone done this? BTW - I'm after a couple for the mod. I don't want the LEDs etc so haven't contacted Ray yet, but sure I will at some point!
