Right, but you could just wire in a facelift or equivalent bulb holder couldnt you to do the job?

Yeah but if you just want them to be indicators, do you need to change the loom? Will prefacelift bulb holders fit in the facelift indicators?

I remember reading about this years ago, but what actually stops you from using the stock wiring loom with the facelift lights?

Have you thought about doing a full coolant change and then flushing the matrix out by connecting a water hose to the matrix sender pipe and flushing it out? Its probably full of gunk...
