  1. A little while ago i posted up that someone has reversed into my parked car and i was walking out to it at the time, she had smashed my already broken Bomex bumper and pushed the wing up a bit, spoke to my insurance company and they said that i will have to pay the ex and claim it back from them, i thought ok, then an hour later got a call from her insurance company and they said they will deal with it all and i didnt have to pay a bean!!!! So took it to there garage got a quote and was booked in, after that i took a look at the damage and notice that the plastic housing on my jspec headlight was cracked where the bolt is to hold it in place and the other side as well which they missed, so mentiond that when i took it in, and the result is...... I have a brand new stillion front bumper And brand new UK spec glass headlights!! Result i think in the end!! Pics to come!!
  2. CJ I will be getting in some Blacked out Gauges very soon which has a very similar affect as the Defis and in 52mm, ... please see the pic.. I think these will be a great choice to those who want the defis look a like but not at the cost.. They are not the same quality as the defis but they are good.. They are blacked out when off and show up when on and will be avalible in boost (Bar and PSI) oil pressure oil temp water temp Revs voltage
  3. Agreed, take the RPM off the SAFC... much more precision instrument than a turbo timer and the actual RPM Gauge in the cluster...
  4. the wire is for the speedo not rpm, so when unscrew the Gauge cluster the far left connector from front view, there will be a blue/red wire in it, think its the 5th wire along again from the left, thats the speed wire so tap the purple wire onto this one!! hope that helps..
  5. Just in the middle of the email now!!! lol Give you a buzz in a sec to go through it!!
  6. The Greddy Turbo timer has a function that shows your speed so thats what the purple wire is for, goes to the speedo... and i think thats how it works out how long to leave the car running when in the auto mode... brown wire is the handbrake which doesnt have to be connected but advised to do it as said above it cuts the engine straight away when its down, plus its not that hard to do, just lift up the gear surround section and you will see two wires from the handbrake, need the one that switches the 0V not the one with permanent 0V..
  7. i have one, what have you done to yours?? why do you think it is broken?
  8. Can you get just the spoiler??? If so how much and time scale!! ta
  9. Jake If you like i can sort that out for you?? Sorted CJs car so that his OD button is now his torque convertor switch which is rather cool, his OD switch is now relocated to one of the blanks under the stereo..
  10. I can offer a full refurbish on these to get them like new..
  11. i had the same problem and what i was that if you open the conector block up on mine every solder joint which connects to the plug was cracked around each pin therefore not working, so go over all the joints with an soldering iron and that should sort it out! all mine work again!!
  12. yes does sound like they have done that if it does seem right to you that its mph.. also the clock is normally left to count up in kph still so if thats how yours is then its right, also makes it much easier to sell after and not have to explain that the first 50000 on the odo was clocked up in kph and the the other 20000 was in miles, although you should get a certificate from the garage if they do that to prove that the 70000 on the odo isnt all kph or mph make sense!?!
  13. some cases they put a 110mph dial face which means no altering on the wires, or if it has a 180 dial face and it does read ok and looks like it is in mph that means they have put a converter in it which is normally behind the gauge cluster. When they do that there is a sticker they put on the dial face which covers up the origanal kph marking and says mph
  14. ok thanks for that, so traders, please can you give me a price and avalibility..
  15. what front is this and do any of you traders have it or can get hold of one vsoon?? If so please can you give me a price!
  16. i have installed some of these for people and have to say that they do look good!! Considering getting a set for myself!
  17. cheers mate spoke to my insurance and said to get it to there recommended garage which is about a 80mile round trip and thats the closest for a quote and that i will a have to pay the 350quid excess and claim it back then got a call from her insurance company and said they will deal with it and i will get a courtesy car ect,, and there garage is about 10miles away with no excess to pay so that sounds good!! so if they try for a new bomex could her insurance company if they dont likt the sound of the price to fix contact my insurance company and ask if i have declered my bomex and then put a stock one back?? i really dont mind having a new toyota front anyway and keeping the bomex as its not that bad and fixing myself?
  18. i supose i was lucky in a sense that it happened when i went out as God knows if she would of left a note or note!!
  19. to be honest i wasnt really bothered about the bomex as i was going to put a standard one on as it was knackered with stone chips and the bottem of it cracked ect.., but its just the bloody wing that is pushed back a bit and the door catches thats annoying!! didnt even realise there was a problem with that until i went to open it as it looks fine!! oh well, see what happens, be nice though if i do get a new bomex!!
  20. im with admiral so not sure really how they are?? anyone know? does it matter that i havnt told them if the other insurance company is paying for it? will they come and see it? how will they know?
  21. i have a TRD one i will bring with me when i see you, yours for a tenner.
  22. My car parked up on the road, and as i go out to the car a fire engine goes by me and my car alarm goes off, as i get closer a women is standing by it and yep she has reversed into my car to let the fire engine go by!! she has cracked my bomex bumper and aslo pushed the wing back a bit as the door catches on it as you try and open it, i have all her details and insurance ect and she seems genuin ect as she rang me up about 10mins after to give me her policy number, so... what do i do now? do i need to ring my insurance company or what? also i havnt told my insurance company about the bomex so what happens there? does my insurance need to know about this accident to fix my car or does it just go through hers??
  23. also isnt it wise to open the fuel cap to de pressurize the fuel so it wont spurt out when undoing the clips??
