these 2 wires you mention are comming out of the convertor are they? to prove its the convertor take it out and connect the speed signal back, should be obvious which 2 wires needs connecting back, again you have checked the supply going to the convertor?

that wire that goes to the ECU comes out of the odo unit, its the pink wire so dont think its that. The wire that makes the odo work and the dial speedo is a blue/red wire, whats strange is that there are 2 of the blue/red wires from the gear box one to the odo and one to the dial sppedo, so i question is.. did the odo clock up in miles or do you think its in kph? As if its in miles its more than likey that the blue/red wire that goes to the odo has been cut and the blue/red wire that goes to the dial speedo goes into the convertor and from the convertor is goes to the dial speedo and the odo, so has to be the convertor, check you have 12V on it.

That problem has now been cured now with my new fog light kits.

isnt it the negative bar that goes across the bulb which you unclip and it swings across and then it just comes out, thats how it is removed!?

Looks right, the pipe that goes to the turbo should go to the "in" and the pipe on the top of the acuator goes to the "out" the bottom of the acuator should be blocked off.

when i had my bomex it was catching on everything and that was on stock setup, was crazy and ended up destroying the bottem end of it, got the stillen on now and that is great for clearence!!

The Tempreture Knob is the one that has a bit on it that lights up and that is from the same bulb that makes the actuall dial light up. Lightwave, i can change your lights to pretty much any colour now like, yellow,red,pink,purple,blue,orange,white, ect.. so green is fine! what bits do you want changing and i will pm you the details..

The Temp has one bulb that illuminates the complete section, and the fan speed has 5 LEDs around the top and one bulb for the bottom half of it..

It may not be the convertor, as there are 2 speed signal wires from the gear box, one goes to the gauge cluster which is the one that gets converted normally, and the other goes to the odo metre and in there is a buffer circuit which then comes out and goes to the ECU, Now i reckon that if you do the following it may cure it.. On the back of the odo plug you should see a blue/red wire and a pink wire, they are next to each other next to a brown wire in a row of three. Cut the pink wire about an inch from the plug and join it on to the blue/red wire

Anyone have the apexi rsm maunal in English? (new style RSM) that they can email me or have a link, the one off the apexi site doesnt seem to include the wiring part of it.? i know the main wires but want to see if i can take the speed cut off my car as apparently it does this...

Flashing OD is something to do with the speed signal... but you probably know that already!

The first kit i used to do did, the "bulb out" light only came on if you have the fog light on and then brake, but does go out if you switch it off, but i have worked on a new one which will not cause this anymore...

they are £22 which includes postage, comes with everything you need and full written instructions with pictures, or £35 for me to install it for you.

Sheena, its like driving a new Supra compared to how it used to look and the smile has come back to me again when driving it!!! , i will post a pic of how it was and a better pic of how it is now as this one is a bit small, they sorted out all my little dents and dings and put it on the insurance bill, so i have sorted them out for that with a little backhander!! plus they sprayed and fitted the bonnet scoop which i bought beforehand.. give me a call when your friend wants those lights doing.. thanks

They reckoned that the stock bumper was about £370 from Toyota as they took down my chassis number and spoke to Toyota!!! not sure wether it being a jspec its cheaper but cant see it being a lot in it, So not cheaper than aftermarket ones..

cheers, tbh i was bricking it a bit as i hadnt told my insurance company about my bomex so wasnt sure what the out come was going to be!! Will def declare all mods now as its not worth the trouble!
