  1. Good on both of you I will be watching on the box because I picked up a calf injury ina 10K last Sunday. My GP said I had torn a muscle though A&E say its 'only pulled'. No running or biking for 2or3 weeks for me - NOT A HAPPY BUNNY. And what really narks me is that I was up for it as it was my home club race. Physio. visit Monday for some further diagnosis/recovery/training help
  2. Got to my car after work yesterday to find big trail of water. I keep a bottle of water in the car so topped up radiator & started engine - rad cap off/heater on/etc - lots of bubbles so thought that I had fixed it. Got home after 12 mile drive. Plenty of steam from the bonnet so lifted and there was a fine squirt of water aprrox 3 to 4 ft. Bugg3r I thought, but it was impressive and easy to see the culprit. Anyway I remember an old Vauxhall Carlton that squirted water from its radiator through the grill on to the road. So what has been the best squirt out there? p.s. this car is having a few of those niggly problems lately!

  17. I was 17 and just started learning to drive. One evening my mother said I could drive her car to collect our old lad from work. I reversed the car partway down the street into the front of a car owned by a visitor to a neighbour. I was made to quickly get out of the car and she went to collect my stepfather by herself. At the time I was working at an insurance brokers, the next morning the bloke came in for claim form. I stayed at the very back of the office and very very quiet. It was the last time I was ever to drive one of my mothers cars. She took the blame & lost her NCB. I did learn my lesson though
