  1. I have two alarms on mine, neither of which work satisfactorily. I have bought a new Scorpion alarm system which will replace both, but I'm not looking forward to removing the old systems. Tracing the wiring is hard with one system never mind two. From experience, a fair bit of space is needed as various bits of trim around the dash area need to come out. It helps if you have the installation guide for the system you are removing.... they can usually be found online. They are not particularly complex in operation. They usually inhibit the starter motor and/or fuel pump. Apart from that, it's things like operating central locking, flashing indicators and sensors on the bonnet oh! and sirens.
  2. You do have to be quick to beat them to a reasonably priced car! They spend a lot of time trawling all the ad sites. In some ways I find it annoying that people sell to them, but I guess they get offered a quick cash sale and don't know any better.
  3. I just replaced the mast on mine with a part ordered via e-bay. All went according to the supplied instructions. You can search for Toyota Supra Aerial power mast. Not cheap - but good.
  4. Watch you don't pay more at the auction (including the fees) than you could have paid buying privately, where you have all the time you need to check everything thoroughly.
  5. I thought that I read in the past that someone who fitted some covers including the nova-suede inserts had a problem with fading in sun light? I enquired with the company and was assured that they are fine, but the material manufactures site technical document seems vague to me. Does anyone know of such issues?
  6. Interesting & useful write up. Where did you obtain the new covers?
  7. If you have the time and energy, you can probably buy a 'used' timber or sectional concrete garage for very little cash provided you are prepared to dismantle, transport and then reassemble. I did this with/for a mate donkeys years back.
  8. 'Works well as storage but not wide enough internally for a garage - unless you plan on buying an Austin 7.
  9. You definitely have a writing talent - even with Ebola.
  10. Hi, Can I ask where you purchased this splitter please?
  11. Can anyone advise on how to remove the struts - especially where they mount to the body? Thx.
  12. Thanks chaps and yes - Sandy was the place.
  13. Been on here a while..... Now have a Supra! Needs some tlc. I'm intending a rolling restoration. The 'to do ' list is growing fast. I will be asking a few questions
  14. Hi, 'Joined up to tap into your knowledge base with a view to buying an Aerotop. I see TT Aerotops are somewhat popular in the wanted ads. I'll probably be happy with an n/a version. How is my Supra slang? Cheers!
