I just expanded on my question but thanks for replying. Is it a big hassle to wire them into a standard loom? I did this conversion with a JDM MR2 once. Got the looms, switch, relay?...and the power mirrors. Everything just fell into place. Best mod ever and I miss not having it on this car.
-
Does anyone have a photo of a power/folding mirror plug? I'm confused, they say power/folding mirrors have 7 wires (9 pin plug?) but I've seen people selling 'folding mirrors' here and they were 5 wires... I also read you can't have heated AND power/folding mirrors. If a heated mirror has 5 wires, then what are the other 2 wires (on the 7 wire folding one) for, if they are not heated? Thanks

Pilot Sport 2 again or Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 or Ventus S1 Evo 2?
SUPRA4EVA replied to SUPRA4EVA's topic in mkiv Technical
They are quite a bit cheaper than the rest and I can get matching fronts too... No, because I won't be able to drive the car then! -
Will need new rears for my stock 17's. Currently have Pilot Sport 2 but also found F1 Asymmetric 2 and Vendtus S1 Evo 2 on blackcircles. I'm looking for a tire that is good in the wet and good on fuel, Vendtus S1 Evo 2 on paper has better fuel economy while costing in between the other two, but will it wear quicker? All three are rated A for wet grip. Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 are dirt cheap in comparison to Pilot Sport 2 but do they really last longer?

Basically, if I'm looking to delete the diff oil cooler, what diameter TEFEN straight/elbow and Mikalor clamps would I need? Looking to delete right where the rubber hose ends and the tube begins to disappear behind the plastic cover leading up to the rad. I don't have the car with me so that's why I'm asking. Much appreciated

I take it there isn't a copy uploaded anywhere? Probably more expensive to maintain than to buy! lol

For Euro/UK spec stuff? I own genuine 1993 US manuals and some backups but not a Euro/UK one...
-
Well, I guess the picture does say it all. I'll just have to get OEM as I do care about my Supra. Good looking out. It's just that I've never got parts for a Supra before and it's NOT easy these days finding them, not just brakes and pads. It's pretty much looking at the online catalog to make sure the part is correct and then off making quotes to see who can offer the best price...and I keep giving up lol Who would you recommend for competitive OEM prices and good to deal with?
-
I understand OEM is superior but are they really that bad? Even for a stock car, normal road use? I read BLUE PRINT are a decent brand and the pads at least, are stamped made in Japan.
-
Noticed my pads are wearing thin and my discs MAY need replacing too. Been looking at OEM stuff but found BLUE PRINT discs and pads a lot cheaper. No crazy sh*t, just for regular road use. I just wanted confirmation that these will fit a UK Spec, numbers SEEM to check out. Front brake pad ADT34251 (only the 1 type, OEM has 2...) Rear brake pad ADT34250 Front brake disc ADT343158 Rear brake disc ADT343111 Anyone know if there is an aftermarket kit for the clips and/or shims? I found a quality Delphi kit for my MR2 in the past...

I didn't realize things were so dire. Really hope the forum doesn't die, it's such a great community and for people that don't live close to a Supra specialist this is a must. PS: Dnk, thanks.

I have been a Club member on here since late 2014 and since I was looking of a Supra to buy I had to buy Club Membership so I got a years worth and ended up a getting MKIV later in early 2015. Again, I was looking for some parts to buy around late 2015/early 2016 so bought another year. Wasn't using the forum much after but in early 2017 I needed something and was struggling with sending messages so I bought another Club Membership for another year... I've been trying to contact a few folk to help me at least upgrade to Lifetime (as I paid it 3 times now and it say in the sticky to get in touch) but I can't even send a damn message, been having real problems contacting people on here this year... You'll have to forgive me, I don't use this forum often so I don't know how everything works etc.. IIRC that's roughly how it went down, they must a have a more precise record. If someone could help me out that would be great. Thanks

Looking for an OEM 93-96 JDM Front Bumper in 040 that won't need refinishing. Original finish is preferred as long as it's in good condition, preferable with lower lip and turn signals.

Suggestions for blanking UK Spec lamp washer holes?
SUPRA4EVA replied to SUPRA4EVA's topic in Supra Chat
HarleyFDMD, I actually want to keep my UK Spec bumper ether on or off, I would not be concerned for the washers if passers by could be trusted... -
Suggestions for blanking UK Spec lamp washer holes?

I want to remove and blank my UK Spec lamp washer holes but I don't want to fill the holes permanently, I just want them off so they don't get damaged. I really like them but read that they are impossible to get a hold of. Just looking for something like blanking plates, I'd love it to be flush but the cracking and discoloration around the washers will look bad. I doubt I'll find a front JDM bumper in good condition already finished in 040 White...

Thanks! 3/8 is perfect I have some scraps of 3/8 tube, just picked up a set of jubilee clips, one of them is bound to fit the hose. Once I get the sizes I can get a decent set of straights and t bolts. I know not getting coolant to the ICV is not a HUGE issue, as I thought about doing that to my MR2 one time but I just wanna keep the MK4 stock. Thanks:thumbs:
-
Bump So anybody able to measure that coolant hose thickness, highlighted in the photo?
-
Thanks Keron, I did suspect it went to the throttle body area. Can someone do me a HUGE favor and measure the thickness on that hose? I don't have the car with me but I'm thinking of doing a fix tomorrow, so if someone can post the diameter of that rubber hose by tonight I'll be very regretful.
-
Had the car stored away for the winter and was just away to pick it up, when I found a coolant pipe has been chewed thru...ate thru the metal in the pipe too. Looked at the online parts catalog but can't identify the pipe, not sure if it's GTE specific. It's below the EGR...any idea how hard it would be to replace it?

If you have an MR2 MK2 you'll know JDM Man in Dandism, well I have a spare Man in Dandism Rear Glass. Glass is in very good condition although the heating element connections will have to be re-soldered with your existing one. If you are looking to convert this perfect I also have the NS JDM Man in Dandism rear quarter glass although the film is cracked due to sunlight . Was looking for £100 but open to offers. http://myfilehost.weebly.com/uploads/1/2/9/3/12937251/9952230_orig.jpg http://myfilehost.weebly.com/uploads/1/2/9/3/12937251/7801455_orig.jpg http://myfilehost.weebly.com/uploads/1/2/9/3/12937251/1282365_orig.jpg http://myfilehost.weebly.com/uploads/1/2/9/3/12937251/6659468_orig.jpg http://myfilehost.weebly.com/uploads/1/2/9/3/12937251/3832218_orig.jpg http://myfilehost.weebly.com/uploads/1/2/9/3/12937251/8406904_orig.jpg http://myfilehost.weebly.com/uploads/1/2/9/3/12937251/1048141_orig.jpg

For all you MR2 MK2 owners I have a pretty clean subframe off a REV 3. Pretty much a complete subframe off a 1994 JDM REV3 MR2 Turbo. Very clean includes ARB, Lower Arms, all the connecting Rods basically. Few bushes may need renewed and missing ONE bolt for one of the lower arms. Balls joins are probably worth changing too. Obviously the four bolts that are used to bolt it on to the car are not included. Great replacement for a worn subframe that has broken captive nuts or extremely corroded. £30 http://myfilehost.weebly.com/uploads/1/2/9/3/12937251/4420749_orig.jpg http://myfilehost.weebly.com/uploads/1/2/9/3/12937251/4644177_orig.jpg http://myfilehost.weebly.com/uploads/1/2/9/3/12937251/7089684_orig.jpg http://myfilehost.weebly.com/uploads/1/2/9/3/12937251/1890623_orig.jpg

for sale UK Spec TT Stock Exhaust minus the 2nd CAT.
SUPRA4EVA replied to SUPRA4EVA's topic in Parts for Sale
SOLD, awaiting local collection. -
Have this OEM UK Spec TT exhaust that needs gone. These parts are in really good condition, haven't done much miles by the looks of it, few broken studs though. Looking at what others are saying: First CAT - £30 Mid section w/two resonators - £20 Muffler/Silencer - £25 These don't include delivery but if you want to do a deal and organize the courier, something can be arranged. Can post the 1st CAT for a few more £'s as it's only small... I'd like some cash for them but don't want them to sit here forever too.

Anyone be interested in a TT Stock Exhaust minus the 2nd CAT?
SUPRA4EVA replied to SUPRA4EVA's topic in Supra Chat
Thanks for the prices and the 1st cat? There is one on eBay currently for 150 but not sure if that is reasonable?
