  1. My advice for such a low hp goal: cast manifold, pt6265 / bw83-75, usdm injectors and afc. And btw it will perform perfect on a stock ecu. Stock driveability and reliability. People on this forum tend to go over the top for absolutely nothing. More fuel questions look here. http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?805042-Fuel-advice-for-550-whp
  2. Love the cam covers. Did you first chrome the whole cover and then wrinkle paint over it? Can't wait to see what the 7175 will do on pump through an auto, especially with the little compression bump and stroker combo.
  3. Well it depends on the setup really. But bang for buck I would keep the stock unit. 6766 + E85 is an easy 800+ rwhp with stock intake (not sure what your planning turbo and fuel wise). Hell I know 6266 setups making high 700rwhp with the stock intake. Don't take this the wrong way, they definitely help adding power to the 2jz, but it's an expensive upgrade. And 99% of the people won't need one to reach their goals. If you want to max out xyz setup, then you can add one.
  4. Like Dane said: VW or Hypertune. Personally I don't like cutting up the car, so I vote fot the IP or DOC (Both RMR style, but slightly different) But tbh, I won't look at intake manifolds at all if you're planning on less than 800rwhp...
  5. Mvp motorsports is having a sale atm. http://www.mvpmotorsports.com/Templates/frmTemplateM7.asp?SubFolderID=4478&SearchYN=N Pretty sure SRD is also an ETS dealer.
  6. The core from ETS is outstanding, especially compared to those ebay intercoolers. As far as I know ETS is 100% made in the USA. Their fin density is even finer than the Garret cores where everyone raves about. If you're really on a tight budget, I would suggest the stock smic (or refurbished one). Those are proven to be sufficient for bpu and small singles~450rwhp, mainly due their prober ducting. Edit: Can't find the comparison pic. Maybe it's on my other computer.
  7. Just go with an ETS fmic. When you see their core, you'll know why... After a comparison with a china/whifbitz/srd (all look like the alibaba.com stuff) it's a no brainer. I will see if I can dig up a comparison pic.
  8. Awesome spec! Didn't have the time to read everything yet, so I'm sorry if already asked... Don't you think the 1100cc injectors are too small to max out the turbo? (noticed flex fuel, so I assume E85?)
  9. Brazil, probably the best place to ask in the supra community: http://www.theboostlab.com/ Ask for Kirk.
  10. Agreed. Plenty of people use piggybacks in combination with the autobox and had great succes. Another option is the Pro-efi (probably the most used).
  11. Krimi, I think Cody is at the SIV event in Vegas right now. Today is the last day of that event iirc. Good luck with the mapping! Great build so far!
  12. ^^ as above. Agreed 100%. Get an AFC, tune it and be done. It's not rocket science. His goal is just over 500rwhp... In my opinion is to keep it simple. This is just my opinion though. - 6265 and cast manifold - slightly bigger injectors, 650-720cc and an AFC - Stock Denso fuel pump. US spec should do it. - And the usual (read original) bpu mods and maybe some +++ Btw fuel pump is not included in BPU, however it's adviced for the j-specs. That should be doable with 5k and quality parts. Like I said PHR was having a sale on their street kit, which was under 2k!
  13. Pretty easy since hes already bpu. PHR was having a sale on their street kits for under 2k. This was with a 6265, good enough for your powergoals. Add (if you don't have one already) an AFC, a good single clutch and some injectors. Bam done! I've seen plenty of builds with quality parts (not china crap) around his budget. However they all were already bpu just like the OP. edit: just saw it's not a 6spd.
