    Mourinho

Don't know about anybody else but i hope Chelsea get absolutely spanked tonite. Mourinho is nothing but a tedious whinger and The World's Worst Bad Loser so i hope he loses 5-0 and then we can all listen to his Bullsh1t excuses. This is quite amusing: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/funny_old_game/4780098.stm particularly the two photos labelled ' A diver and some girl in a swimsuit'. [/rant over] cheers
  2. 29 is a tragically young age for anyone to pass away and i'm sure right now life and it's twisted cruelties doesn´t make any sense at all for you or your daughter. I remember watching a recent program about a Czech lady who was badly injured in the tsunami and her long-term boyfriend was killed in it. She told a story of a Thai doctor (who knew obviously that her partner drowned that day) and who´s constant message to her in her long-stay recuperating in hospital was : "Try to stay happy, - don´t drift into sadness". - It was a very profound and poignant tale she told and it was very touching to see her strength despite it all. -it must seem like an impossible thing for you and Jess right now but stay with it and time can be a healer. Very very slow healer though. Be strong and one day things will be brighter for you both. very sorry for your great and very sudden loss. Doughie
  3. I think you're right. Original is no way an NSX. Body proportions all wrong, rear wing wrong, horrible body kit, wheels wrong.
  4. to be honest, the original doesn't even look like an NSX. Nose looks too short to me to be an NSX. I could be wrong.... and christ that rear-wing on an NSX?!? just looks completely wrong ...
  5. For a 'rental track' Daytona Intnl. at Milton K. is pretty good. Best corner is the flat (or almost flat) left-hander after the long straight, just before tight right-hand hairpin. Karts aren't bad (for a 4-stroke..) last time i went whch i admit was a couple of years ago at least now. Lucky for you all that i'm overseas in March !! (ooh the arrogance....)
  6. Nah - generally i just throw mine away.
  7. Mourihno is without doubt the worst loser ever in the history of the known Universe. And possibly even a greater place than that. Now he´s accusing the other players of acting and cheating.. what a NOVELTY in modern football !!! He´s a slimy greedy t*sser and deserves some great misfortune to happen to him anytime soon. Barcelone were pure class and Chelsea have Lampard to thank for not losing 3 -1 or 4-1 or something. all just my opinion, am actually fairly unintersted in football. cheers
  8. I was in NZ last year - i agree it's a great place especially South Island. North Island could almost have been Wales or Scotland in parts (still nice though - Bay of Islands was great). I was at Milford Sound in July or something which is slap-bang in the middle of their winter and it was FAPPING freezing. My fingers were almost stuck to my camera. But Milford is well spectacular. Lake Taupo also great and all that jazz. I did about 7000kms in a friends Subaru Outback 4Wd (it had 274,000kms on it (WTF!?!) and never went wrong once apart from a flat-tyre which is hardly it's fault). Next time i'll have to go their in their summer so i don't get hypothermia every day!

I reckon his GTO could get from 0-60feet in even less than 0.8seconds : Park it on a level crossing, pointing South, and wait for the InterCity125 from York to London. InterCity arrives, BANG, there you have it - 0-60feet in 0.1seconds. Might dent his GTO a bit though. (Bottle of T-cut should sort it.)
  10. you missed off: .....read maps. .....light a BBQ. .....change a tyre instead of calling the bleeding RAC.

I've just done the maths too. I studied Physics at University so i know a little about calculating moving-object dynamics. My figures come out almost exactly the same as letmeshowyou : 60 feet = 18.288metres = 0.011366miles (distance travelled) (there are 1609metres in 1 mile). 0.8secs = 0.000222hours. To travel that 18.288mtr distance at a constant velocity you need to travel at 51.1mph. So, yes, assuming the rate of acceleration was constant (reasonable) and starting at 0mph, the final speed at 60foot line would need to be 102.3mph. Additionally, the average acceleration for that to be achieved is 5.8g (*constant* 5.8g). [(using equation s=ut + 1/2 a t^2), where s=distance travelled, u=initial velocity, a=average acceleration, t=time. I know for a fact that Top Fuel dragsters running on Nitromethane have about 5500bhp (some have 6000bhp) and do 0-100mph in 1second or slightly less, so the 0.8secs to 60ft line is about what a Top Fuel dragster can do, and that ties in with my calculation of final speed at 60feet line (102.3mph). I don't care how much traction Jim's car has, it cannot and will not do 0-102mph in 0.8secs. And it cannot and will not accelerate at an average G of 5.8G. That is fact now, the calculations show it. CONCLUSION: Either Jim isn't telling the truth, or there was a glitch in the timiing system for that run. I'd give Jim the benefit of the doubt and say it was a timing system glitch. Doesn't matter it was FIA-ratified, all electronics systems can and do fail, all computer programs have bugs in them. If it was a glitch then Jim as an experienced drag racer *SHOULD* have realised that the time was a glitch. But a glitch doesn't sound as impressive down the pub as 0-102mph in 0.8secs.. Argument over. - It didn't happen, end of story.

Hi Jimbo - It's very simple, just video all 3 timing slips and post them up and then that's all done and dusted. a few seconds of each slip please, cos at 25frames per second, that would need a lot of photoshopping of each frame if someone was faking it, so a few seconds of each slip and then all arguments are pretty much over. (Also a video of the 60ft distance (taken from opposite 60ft mark would be further proof due to video framing rates etc you can see how long it takes to reach 60ft line.). Tricky if the camera isn't opposite 60ft line as you get parallax errors etc. in anticipation, and regards.

  14. train air-horn mounted on a car, drive round town, scare a lot of people, video them. Very juvenile but still quite funny. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/DAFBBF1C-7796-4D17-AE4A-59455DA39AD4.htm

looks like a suspension collapse to me..
  16. that incident with the bull wasn't actually in spain - happened in Mexico City about 2 weeks ago. It was a fairly spectacular leap - the bull got it's hind legs PERFECTLY on the top of the barrier to launch itself into the crowd. there's a fairly BIG gap between the barrier and where the crowd are - i'd asy at least 6 - 8feet and the bull clear jumped over it. I agree it's poetic to see the bull go on a bit of rampage. Killing animals for the sole purpose of providing entertainment for people is stupid and barbaric. Suppose bulls ruled the world. Suppose there's 6billion bulls in the world and just a few thousand humans. The bulls decide it would be fun to chuck a human in a ring and stick it with spears for a good long while before it dies thru blood-loss, all the while with the spectating 'bulls' cheering and clapping as it runs around at a red cloth. Same thing - just other way round. It's no different to what the Romans used to do in the Colisseum 2,000yrs ago. Human race hasn't advanced very far in the last 2,000yrs.
  17. Yes i have to admit that i've never met an American that i didn't like. Just as well i've never met Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld or Rice then. = about the 4 most dangerous people in the world. Nice place, nice people, shame about the current Administration.
  18. Nick E30s are for cornering very hard ! check out 1min 45secs of this clip: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7829341333908711207 he wasn't holding back..

  20. OK my 2 cents. i'm far less diplomatic than others on this board....i'm afraid China-Man that you have an exceptionally selfish attitiude on this. Bull-bars are, in this country, a pure cosmetic add-on. They need them in Australia where they get kangaroos, wild horses and buffalo on the road in the Outback (i was in Australia last year and ALL of the above ran across the road in front of me). There are no buffalo in the UK and so these add-ons are just to make your vehicle look cool. Nothing wrong with you or your vehicle looking cool, but NOT at the expense of killing or seriously injuring a pedestrian that has, for whatever reason, doesn't matter whose fault, impacted the front of your vehicle. Thes things massively increase chance of death. I myself hit the front of a car in an accident a couple of years ago, and it snapped my left leg in half. Completely in half. I had bolts in my leg for 1.5years. All because the guy hadn't been paying attention to what was in front of him. Now, fortunately the chap didn't have bull-bars on his car cos if he had i'd have smashed my pelvis for sure, probably had to have leg amputated and may well have died or had other massive internal haemorrhaging. Before they lifted me off the road (& i was screaming) the cops said before i was carted off "there's a LOT of damage to the car." They didn't know at the time that the only thing that hit the front of that car was me. I'm glad there was a lot of damage to the car, cos it saved my body from even MORE damage. As it is, my left leg is now permanently shorter than my right, i have to wear a built-up shoe for rest of my life (i'm in my 30's) and i have a massively increased risk of having to have total hip replacement in the next few years. Getting hit by a car isn't fun at all, and if your mindset China Man is to bolt on some shiny solid steel object to the front of your car just cos it looks cool and fukc the pedestians you kill then, i politely suggest to you sir, to go on ebay and try to buy yourself a new brain. regards
  21. OK last vid for today. This is an M5 being given a jolly-good hooning somewhere in Deutschland. All good fun (as long as you're not paying for the tyres). Best bit is the, ah, fly-by, at about time = 1min.44secs. Is that guy *trying hard* or what? http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7829341333908711207 nite-nite D.
  22. Take a look at this. it's well funny ! http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5864097001633806354 Also this vid-clip of a girl jumping through a basket-ball hoop is pretty amazing.. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5804139819441997248 cheers
