They sell these "Electric Turbos" on eBay for about £100. This is copied from an advert on eBay and sounds a bit odd to me This Electric supercharger is designed for enthusiasts looking for additional power but are not ready to buy an expensive turbo kit or supercharger kit which can void their vehicles warranty, cost upwards of $5000 and require additional maintenance. You won't have to worry about these things with our electric system. It may require small modifications to mount the charger on your air intake line, but it can always be reversed. It can be installed by most people with basic tools and no prior automotive knowledge. ^ Features: • Works on any engines • Adds more power on top of all existing modification • It provides and increase of 2PSI to your intake • Up to 15 more horsepower^ • Develop 5% HP gain througout the RPM range • Safety draws over 833 watts from the battery when activated at full-throttle

Can anybody tell me if it is just the rubber part of the engine mount that needs to be changed on an ls400 v8 when puting the engine into a supra mkiv or the whole mount. I have done the rear sump convertion so this is the last part to do

You can't get cars that look as good as these old muscle cars anymore

Nice surpas pretty nice photography too

I think you guys are correct about the engine though will try and source a cheap supra na lump maybe my is200 idea was a bit mental lol, but do you guys think the gs300 auto box would be a good way forward?
-
Gonna do more digging around on google if this 6 speed can go in I might have stumbled across a great way to get cheap 6 speeds lol Someone has to be the guinea pig

I'll be doing the work myself so it's not the cost of the labour that concerns me it's the initial money to buy the engine, there always seems to be plenty of engines available down south but I'm up in Edinburgh and then theres the money getting the thing sent up here. Unfortunatly the engine was already out of the gs300 because as far as I understand this engine is the same as the supra 2jz na. Ive been googling and from what I can work out you can put a 2jz-gte with w58 box in an is200 so why not reverse it. IS200 guts in a supra. I know I probably sound slightly mad but I think if the 1g-fe is rear sumped then this may fit I just can't find enough info on google. Problem here is I'm more of a Honda guy so having to learn all of what you can bolt to what in a Toyota now lol

Hi just a quick question can this be done I've been on the hunt for parts today going round the local breakers yards and have found 2 x lexus is200 and 1 x lexus gs300. * GS300 no engine but auto box and everything else intact. * IS200 both with engines and gearboxes one manual 6 speed and one auto. My question is can I use any of these gearboxes in my rolling shell also would it be possible to use the 1g-fe engine out of an IS200. I know what you are going to say this would be very slow however this would give me time and money to save up for a 2jz-gte. When I initially got my rolling shell I wanted to go down the route of the V8 but after being out in my mates WRX I'm now more favoring a turbo setup. Any advice much appreciated Thanks Scott

Ok thanks for the advice I think I might go for soarer parts instead I got a price for full convention kit today, I'd rather have a complete donor car but soarers are getting quite rare and expensive these days
-
I want to go down the route of Lexus v8 swap and I just wondered how much was easily transferable between the two chassis also if the 4 speed gearbox could be used temporary, I guess I want to know if I get a ls400 donor car how much of my rolling shell project I can get done I know a soarer would make a better donor but I just can't afford that much on a donor car Thanks Scott-TT

Can anybody tell me how many parts from a Lexus LS400 will fit onto a Supra MKIV TT J-Spec rolling shell just to get it going, engine brakes transmission etc Thanks Scott-TT

Thanks guys going to start a build thread in supra chat section before this becomes a build thread lol

I would love to put the proper 2jz in it and do it properly but funds are stopping me from spending £1k on an engine at the moment so my plan is to go for a cheaper engine for the time being, my girlfriend really wants to drive this car in the summer and so do I. I'm not looking to part with this car any time soon so this will be a long term project. I bought the car from eBay I think the previous owner is on this site, it came up from the midlands. I was out today looking through the parts that were inside the car and I have changed the wheels so I can get the original supra ones painted and get some new rubber on them. But here are some pictures I took today... Swapping on old oem fto wheels lol Front hub need to get some brakes All inner arches look really good also I've noticed that the bushes look really good too like they are not too old A random shot of my FTO Supra with FTO wheels Girlfriends daily driver Civic
