  1. So I'd have to start my own limited company if I wanted to pay sod-all tax like all the other contrators?

Jez is as light as the ace of spades. They're all skinny buggers from up there though. It's the malnutrition and rickets.
  3. Talking of contracting, I've just seen a local job on a 18 month contract that seems my kind of thing but it says "position is to start ASAP and will pay £17.00 - £19.00 (Ltd) or £13.50 - £15.50 (Paye) per hour." WTF is Ltd? (I've never worked as a contractor before) £17 to £19 is pretty poor money for contracting, right? That's less than 40k! For contracting! I was on more than that as a permie last year. (before I got made redundant)

Did you win the karting? How heavy are you? I've always sucked at karting. It's so depressing when after beating them around the corners some 8 stone twig just blasts past you on every straight. Us fat bastards have no chance, unless you're really good - which I'm not.
  5. I have a similar dilemma. I've got the 6 pot KAD front calipers with grooved 356mm 10 groove front disks but on the rear I have the (more than adequate) UK spec calipers and plain Toyota disks. Now, I could change the rear disks to grooved ones so that it better matches the appearance of the fronts - and I'm tempted to do that - but on the other hand I'd feel like a tart because taking off the excellent Toyota OEM disks and putting on some flashy aftermarket tat is probably a downgrade in reality. By the way, I don't think Brembo make disks for the stock Supra, do they? Ain't they just the 3G ones that folks claim as Brembo? If you like the flashy look, I know the DBA Gold disks are popular.

    Beer Festival

You might say that It varies. Some exhibitions you pay a decent price for a ticket and get all free drinks, these are quite rare nowadays I believe. Other's you pay like £6 or £8 and get vouchers for x amount of halfs. Or if it's done like a wine tasting you pay your entrance fee and can have as many free samples as you like but each sample if quite small - like 2 swigs. This is the type I was thinking of when I said about doing your Oliver Twist act. They're all there to sell you product at the end of the day but usually they're interested in larger orders for later, not just what they can screw out of you on the night. Have fun!

    Beer Festival

Drink a little water between each sample of beer. You can appreciate the different flavours better that way and you won't get so much overhang the next day if you keep yourself hydrated. Don't be shy about demanding larger samples of the beers you like - they're used to it. It's not a £50/bottle wine tasting afterall. Don't touch the cider!
  9. eh? Never heard that before. Are you talking just about the removable aerotop section?
  10. That blue car was discussed here : http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=83498
  11. I see you're still asking 3999K ! That's nearly four million quid, right?
  12. That's funny. I've travelled a grand total of about 30 miles by car in the US and saw a Supra in the first five minutes.
  13. Supra-Lover left again, for good this time. He's never coming back, honest. Then he came back of course.

    Photoshop question

Right thanks fellas, got that working now. Another question: When I select an area and press Delete it leaves me with the background colour inside the selected area. I don't want that, I want it completely blank - so that it's transparent. How? Thanks

    Anyone got Sky HD?

Yeah, the yanks I know in another group rave about HD all the time. Some of them refuse to watch anything that isn't in HD. I just want to see it for myself before commiting to it

    Anyone got Sky HD?

Yeah but that Michael Owen will complain about anything.
  17. Doesn't look like it comes with a wideband sensor. So how does it work then?

    Photoshop question

    That'll do it. Cheers Pete
  19. I guess we'll have to take your word for that
  20. In Photoshop (ver CS2 if it matters), how can I make an oject have a faded edge? So that it fades to transparent around its border - if you see what I mean. Thanks
  21. How good is it really? I'm already paying £54 a month to Sky and I'm not keen to give them another £10 but on the other hand I've got this big HDTV that I'm not getting the full benefit of. Decisions decisions.... Is there anyway I can see HDTV on my telly without buy a Sky HD receiver? Just a demo or something, to see what it's like.
  22. 6sp manual? Nice! The fuel tank holds 70 Litres
