1. If your'e still stuck , the std ecu I run is a G, force, with a high rev limit any ways, The change points on the auto shift have been slightly modded. Is your car j or uk spec, as mine is uk/us and so is the ecu. You could try this in it to see?
2. Have you tried giving yourself a little more headroom with the revs in 1st? I've just been looking on the U.S forum and it seems as you're banging the revs so quickly in 1st, the std change point gets passed too quickly for it to change up. I think you have 2 options, 1: lower the boost in 1st, or 2: raise the rev limiter!
3. That's good as it's clear sign of overheating / clutch wear:)
4. It'll still start in 1st so should be fine
5. I'm over in tonbridge and have one, although I don't know how much these go for
6. Thats what Kean Wang told me, but keeping it 'D' Is always the safe option. I think it might push the line pressure a little more
7. Were the vids on ths post with the 3800 stall? I dont recall leaving the overdrive off changing anything really. Try it in 2nd and dont forget to ghange it into third. Keep your finger off the gear button though or you'll push it too far up and into neutral or reverse! Also give it a run on low boost, from standing and again with less throttle (3/4)ish. Is the fluid nice and pink or is it starting to go dark. It's got to be worth giving the guys at boostlogic a call. They'd be in the shop now , the number I have is 0015123719960
8. HI Jamesy, I've watched the videos and most obvious issue is the 1st gear delay. I had quite a high rev limit of 8500 so I never hit the limiter. Are you doing you starts in 'D' ? In manual mode 1st to 2nd's the weak point. Your setup isn't really on the power where the stall is and then comes on very very hard past 5000 & straight into the rev limiter. You should be OK to change manually from 2nd to third if you want to get the full revs . What revs did it change into 3rd? I had mine a little into positive boost by 3600 off the line and always brake boosted. I've put a couple of vids of my car up on vimeo but it'll take a while to be processed ( should be up by 18:30 ) If you dare, raise the limiter to get the 1st to 2nd change and give it another go! As a guide I managed to hit 6.3 0-100 at pod, 103@1/8 Also I've just seen you post about only getting to 3000 rpms on the brake. I could push mine into 3700. Just maybe everthing is out of sync with the stall, getting it all out of shape . P's the vids are mixed up... I'll ad the in car one as it gives the best sound of the changes up the gearshttp://vimeo.com/27495405
9. I've put together as many pics as I can for the head. Sorry for the poor quality of a few of the pics. You can see the damage to the valve and the pitting sourounding the top. I can't see any visible damage to the valve area. You can also see the buckets without the shims and the portwork. It's got the ferreas valve springs and retainers in at the moment. and all the end caps are tucked away safely.
10. It was done with nissan shims I believe, similar to an rb26 head
11. Hi Stuart, the Buckets have shims under them. I'll get the head and take a few pics so as to be sure of the construction. I can't remember the exact design as it's been a while!
12. More Pics:
13. SOLD Just looking for some other parts to sell and found this... As new Belt tensioner for Manual TT 65+ postage and packaging or collection from suprapod
14. I've had an offer for the cams and springs but I can't bring myself to sell them I'm never going to use them so: I'm seeing if there is any interest in: 1: Jun Cams Inlet and exhaust. These are a very rare pair of 264 duration cams with a lift of 9.3mm Specs here: http://www.junauto.co.jp/products/cylinderhead-part/camshaft/camshaft-2jz.en.html These have about 5-6000 miles on them. £475 2:A set of HKS Cam Pulleys. These are a little marked & scratched but still do the job. £50------Reserved/SOLD 3: Ferrea single valve springs and titainium retainers Full set. These were used with the cams so have the same mileage. £175 http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/partdetails/Ferrea/Engine/Valve_Springs_and_Retainers//3146 4: Boostlogic Crank damper - SFI- approved - Same milage as the cams & springs. This also has a few marks but is in good working order £150-------Reserved/SOLD 5 Cylinder Head. This has one broken valve end . It has shims under the buckets ( same as skyline setup) for high revs, It's ported and has multiangle std valves. I was going to get the valve replaced but never got around to it. It's got the valve springs and retainers in at the moment , so I'd sell it as a complete package, otherwise I'll remove them . The idea was to get a new valve cut and ground. I'veno idea on the cost but I'm sure it'd make a fine project for someone. Offers Please. Cheers Rob
15. Hi. Here's a pic of my car on one. They are 3 phase twin pillar with fully ajustable arms. Thats all I know. The pic shows the make, I hope that helps:)
16. On behalf of a one of my old mechanics. He's got 3 ramps for sale. One needs a new chain for the drive I believe he wants 500 for this. The other two are fully working Im told . He'd like 1000 for each of these. These i'm told would cost in the region of 3500+ each new Collection from West Sussex area.
17. Hi, That was me, and I had just been at Goodwood! what an excellent day out! Dreadful traffic around Chichester & the end of the A27 though.
