should be gettin the car back this weekend with a new veilside bumper water pump cambelt and head gasket all done :-) ANYONE KNOW OF ANY SIDESKIRTS AND REAR SPATS FOR SALE?

ok il check that im just hoping my heater matrix hasnt split, thats where i heard the air in the water noise behind the dash so it did sound like it was pressurizing there first. so is this a common problem with the sz's?

i have contemplated that to be honest a vvti lump would be nice if one comes up at the right price ;-)

no definitely head gasket its being pressurized by the exhaust gases and throwing the water out of the overflow pipe. plus the AA guy checked for exhaust gases before agreeing to take my car home

ye the mechanic i use is pretty good, hes pricing up a water pump cam belt etc as well ive already given him the do's and dont's list for my car

after starting my car this morning my car sounded like it was farting bubbles under the dash so i turned it off straight away i spoke to a mechanic and i described what was wrong to him he advised me to call the AA as it would do damage to drive it. the AA guy did a head gasket test and the chemical he used turned green confirming that there was exhaust gases in the cooling system. he then told me that he used to work at a Toyota specialist when he was younger and had seen NA supra's blow there gaskets a lot. whether this is true or not im not sure but he told me that "after 70,000miles the head gasket would go" and then said mine could well be on the second gasket already. is there any proof of what this guy is saying because im unsure and if its true then im unsure whether to change the gasket or change the engine to a younger one. any ideas any help would be great :-)

went down south to see family and friends and it was great. i parked my car in the local pub car park and some one reverses into it and drives off. after a little hunting around i found out who it was and he gave me £500 for the cost of a bumper and paint which i thought was fair, plus after speaking to him he didnt realize he had actually done it until i showed him cctv footage from the pub and couldn't apologize enough. then this morning on the way home my head gasket went. . . im glad that there are some people out there who are genuine enough to know when they are in the wrong. cheers dude you have just paid for my new head gasket

do u still do these manifolds or can u get ahold of one? kinda want a manifold which i dont have to modify it to fit, mainly because id probably bugger it up, ye i rekon i will change the sensors ther same time as i change the manifold to play it safe

how would the double decat work if i used the mvp manifold? will it effect alignment of the exhaust at all? i heard that the mvp manifold can scrub on the steering rack is that true?

i wasnt so lucky tbh i had mess about alot to bleed the system properly all done now tho cars been running sweet since, except the speed sensor showing a fault :-/ oh well will get it sorted soon enough :-)

do u know what the diameter was on the pipe u brought?

ok cheers for that i will look it up i have wondered about the heat from the manifold as well, i was gonna use a heat shield but that sounds like a great idea, i might look at that route myself :-) i will have a look in the morning and see what room i have to play with and i will let you know how i get on

whats the best induction and exhaust set up for the na, ive already looked at the mvp exhaust manifold and seen a thread on here saying it could foul on the steering rack, im looking at a japspeed cat back with a decat, i just wanna know what the best bore of exhaust is best for the na without losing to much back pressure and has anyone used the injen induction kit because as far as i can see it bolts straight on to a maf meter which mine doesnt seem to have in the same position as the one used in the advert for the kit. any help is apreciated :-)

right error code 42 which is the speed sensor so what do i do next because its annoying lol i think the car has been delimted as there is a greddy limiter and fuel cut defencer plugged into the ecu. when i looked this up people wer asking how to wire them in so i assume its a delimiter

ok my engine light doesnt flash due to the immobilizer hhhmmm i think this is a garaged job :-/

where can i go to get my jspec supra diagnosed? its gotta be close to the west midlands! the engine lights on but he car doesnt seem to be playing up. im not sure whether its just old electrics or something but i wanna get it checked properly. the cars an NA 94

can i have a quote on how much you would charge for a set of these rear lights and do u have any pics?

the service solved mine in the end, it turns out the previous owner's trusted mechanic wasnt as trusting as they thought,only 3 of the spark plugs were changed, because he could'nt be f**ked to do his job right. its solved the miss fire and the high revving issue i should have a rotor arm arrive today as well so il replace that and then pay day might see me gettin some magnacore leads and a dizzy cap :-) such a pain in the arse when people lie about the service history according to mine it was fully serviced. but the last mechanic charged the previous owner for the work and parts and only did half the work. what a bell end. i made sure the work was all carried out properly with all the recommended parts used and it feels like a totally different drive :-) just shows that if its done right it runs right haha

i wanna get in and park with the supra club do i need anything in particular other then the obvious (the car) to attend with you guys?
