  1. I'm out. Going to a classic car show worth a jap sports section at Thoresby Hall instead. Will try to get up to Sherburn again for the next Tues meet.
  2. Your work never ceases to amaze me - excellent as usual and it looks like the supra was holding it's own in some very good company...
  3. Cheers for the comments on the car, a few bits still to do but it's getting there... I'll try to get there earlier next time, I was late leaving work and didn't expect the weather to hold. would be good to get all the Supra's together though.
  4. That would have been me (the gunmetal facelift). When I got there there were no spaces down the bottom due to the bikes and even a land rover! so had to go and park on the camping ground. I saw plenty of Supra's but no one around them, except for one guy in a silver one who I didn't see get out. Had a good look round and of course a pasty!! People were starting to leave and needed to get back so off I went. Would have been good to meet some of you lot.
  5. Interesting to read the different views. I've been to two previous but didn't go this year due to the 4.30am start and 4 hour drive, however I was deliberating right up to the last week when I saw the weather report, so decided against - however it sounds like apart from a couple of showers and looking at the photos the weather was good. A difficult job for the club organisers but they have always done an excellent job in the past, I've done the mega convoy and did get carried a way a couple of times but a great experience as well as a mini convoy which was equally good, especially going down the country lanes to miss the main traffic for the last miles in - I do think a gazebo and banners is a good idea though. I realise they do cost money but they would make the stands look so much better. Just my opinion... Japfest 2 anyone? plenty of off-grass parking for the club stand!
  6. IT's a Fiat 124 spider (I think) was going to get one myself a couple of years back - nice little cars
  7. I'm up for this, meant to go to the first Tuesday meet the other week, was working in Leeds that day and still forgot!
  8. I will hopefully be coming as well. Not sure which way yet. Either A1-A64 or M18-614 and b roads through Wetwang.

I've changed the outside a bit since I bought it - colour coded front lip, OEM sideskirts and Trial rear so looking just as I planned - we'll see what happens now - more power!! Apexi Induction kit RSR exhaust Red leather interior Rays Cerumo sport wheels - refurbished and looking very nice (in my opinion) - might be on the look out for some nice 18's. Now fitted some nice Rota Force Drift's 18's 10.5" rear 9" front.

  15. I should be going. Not as good as Castle Combe, but 3 1/2 hours closer!
  16. I've got 9 fronts with 35 offset and 10.5 rear with 40 offset fit perfectly 275 on rear can't remember front.
  17. It's the extra noise I don't want. It doesn't seem as though the gain is worth it. If I come across someone with one on at a meet and I can see/hear it then I might change my mind.
  18. Thanks again Nic. I'll think I'll give the whole idea a miss and stick as I am
  19. Interesting and a lot cheaper. What difference does it make to power/delivery? I've got an rsr cat back with no additional silencers so it's already a bit throaty.
  20. Thanks for your input everyone, sounds like a lot of faff and noise for the trouble though so I'll give it a miss. Nice time though Skippy! I might see you at Sherburn when the light nights come.
  21. Thanks for that. Not sure I want loud(er) and main reason I've decided not to go na-t but the torque sounds good.
  22. Just beenlooking onthe MVP link website. Has anyone got any experience of this? Is It any good? Are MVPs claims true? How does it perform? Loud, quiet? Etc http://www.mvpmotorsports.com/Templates/frmTemplateP.asp?SubFolderID=484&SearchYN=N&CatalogID=7603
  23. Sorted at last... I checked the subframe bolts and engine mounts and all fine. Took the brakes off again and cleaned up (again), refitted and still the same problem. I thought I would have one last look and I found the problem - loose spacer bolts, this could have been very dangerous, checked the other side and the same. Tightened everything back up and all back to normal. My wheels are only 2-3 mm off accepting the bigger brakes and I like them on the car so didn't want to change, hence the spacers. Regular checks from now on but it looks like I will be keeping and eye out for some new wheels.
  24. Subframe bolts, 17/19mm ones some recessed quite deep up in the aluminium part of the subframe and some not far in from the sills. Also possibly engine mounts, check for clearance on these and also if facelift grab the lower metal cup and check for rotational 'play' I'll have to get it back over the pit to check this but it does sound feasible and worth checking either way! Yep standard pads it could be the anti roll bar drop links, if they come undone easily, you cold disconnect anti roll bar and tie up out the way and try that? but it does sound like a brake fault, have you got the bits in that push the pads up so as not to move up slightly when braking, if you see what I mean? We couldn't find any play, movement in the drop links or any ball joints/ bushings. I think all the parts are there, but no not sure what you mean is it the metal backing plates with the lip on?! The brakes have been on for at least 6 months, have not had a problem until last few weeks and pads have very little wear
