  1. Ohhh silly me, just had a quick scope without Reading! "Ultra low sports and kit-cars down to 3in / 75mm ground clearance are not a problem in using the ramps, with most customers unable to use a trolley jack to raise their cars before hand." nice... But for £1000 I think I could spend in better things, like a trip to amsterdam.... With my supe
  2. No way will my supe get up that without crunching the front bumper

    Oil change help

God I did this the other day, that filter change will make you insane (unless you have freakishly small hands)
  4. Was at fitness first due to it being real close to the house but when I start again I'm def going to "muscle limit" in brimsdown. Best gym I've ever been to and serves food!! Jacket potatoes to rice & chicken!
  5. Stack tge following for 6months, train hard & eat well: animal pak (multivitamin) 1pack a day, consists of 12 pills nitrotech hardcore pro series (protein with very low carb) 2shakes a day 1hour before /1hour after training celltech hardcore pro series (creatine with shit loads of sugar to help inflate ) 1shake straight after workout ja3ked (nitric oxide) 1shake 20mins before workout (gives u a boost of energy) amino acids (usually consisting of 4pills before/4 pills after training glucosamine (helps recovery, add a dash to your morning shake) these in my opinion are a must if your looking to get big/lean quick additions I later on found out I'd need: omega 3 cod liver oil (joints where aching when benching big numbers) glucosamine (still for joints as I noticed "clicking" during bench and squat) flax seed oil (I'm forgetting now but I believe it's for Essential fatty acids) Hawthorne berry (blood pressure balancing) Drink plenty of water as you'd need to clean your liver of all the buildup, I'd recommend 2litres a day or more. last but not least..... Some xxl tshirts so you can breathe! I may "MAY" consider cycling a ph but it seems the gains are temporary and don't make sense when you balance the pros and cons.
  6. Another thing, dudes right: Car radiators are painted black because it emits the most heat through radiation (highest emissivity). This improves the heat transfer out of the radiator when air isn't moving through the radiator. "black color = high emissivity/absorptivity" - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermal_radiation
  7. Just buy a damn grill, £12.99 off fleabay. Job done. No science or explenation needed.
  8. Lol I'm just posting stuff from google dude. Lol search button is our friend but damn it confuses me
  9. Posted twice, didn't know how to delete.... So I'll edit into a
  10. Back to topic: "paint is cheap and easy to do, but it's a coating and may inhibit heat transfer, even using a heat transfer paint is debatable ... anodizing is simply an oxide dye so the intercooler still functions the same as unfinshed aluminum" But... "I think someone is wrong here. A basic rule for heat transfer in materials is that it relates to electrical transfer. This isn't 100% true all the time but mostly. Anodizing will not transfer electrical current. True it is very thin but if you ground your battery to an anodized surface your car will not start. Paint on the other hand will work to help remove heat. That is why radiators are not natural but painted a flat black. That is why the SR-71 is painted black. Kelly Johnson did not want to do it because it was extra weight. He could have anodized it with no weight penalty. They took about 80f (I think) off of the surface with this trick. Of course they are talking about 900f to start with. BTW that temp increase is due to pressure. So you see there is no way to get around compression producing heat. Even at 100% efficiency. On top of that they are working with air temps starting at minus 70f"
  11. Yep will bare that in mind. I used zinc primer but originally wasn't even going to prime as hammerite doesn't need primer. But juuuuust incase ima redo with the etch primer. Cheers for that
  12. Yeah I've seen it in the halfrauds rattlecan section but didn't know about it so opted for zinc primer. But cheers, will def give it a go next time
  13. thanks, easy to use? Same as regular perimer?
  14. I believe so, as the intercooler uses air to air it needs to be "fed" via the Tubes but I think (theoretically) the vent will be slightly smaller due to the paint covering a mm or 2. So hence giving less gap for the air to enter... So will affect slightly. (theory)
  15. Any good? May use this on my alloy refurb.
  16. By the way I did my stock alloys in "satin black hammerite" and it looked good till I curbed them
  17. Hammerites pretty strong stuff, and withstands heat upto.... (check as I'm unsure) 300*c? As long as your good with either brush or rattlecan I'm sure you'll be ok?

    JDL kits

I haven't ordered yet, slightly worried it's a con. He will 100% accept £450 delivered (and even chucks inthe bonnet ext panel to hide the wiper blades) but you can haggle to 400 delivered. Its a bargain! Then again! Their .com site is based in poland, but this dude claims he's in Germany... But is part of the .com....?

    JDL kits

Might be an old thread but just incase: I'm getting a full jdl kit off eBay (but relax it's fr jdl.com but auctioned.) guys got about 5 left and if you make an offer for £350 he accepts. £50 shipping. And bang. Full kit at your door from Germany for 400. Hope this helps
  20. That is a good looking car mate, good luck with sale
  21. I think if you keep your price decent-low you can't go wrong -the way I see it is: a- you can either make a couple hundred £ profit off each customer and probably only have a few customers per week leaving you approx £600 profit a week... Or b- you could take it the other way and make minimum profit off each customer & every customer would recommend and stay loyal sticking to you for anything small or big. (I'd be there everyday! Lol) It depends how you want to run things, but that's just from my business experience. Although I'm not experienced in the field your interested in I'm pretty good at thinking in a business mind. And as for a business loan, you'd need to show at least 40% of capital start up to the bank for them to provide you the remaining 60% (well that's how it was 2years ago)
