  1. i used a mop (buffing machine) on mine with 3m finness-it, thay came up like new, just keep on going with the elbo grease i would say
  2. you would be amazed how much heat it takes to melt a bumper !
  3. such as getting infront of a black sup at 140+ ! yes and i must have picked most of them out all the vents in the front of my car ! again unless they tangle with an angry sup :flame Dev
  4. i have both my cats still in (waiting for de-cat to arrive) i have a bleeder mod set to 1.2 bar, when i fitted the nur spec it went to 1.5bar! just shows how restrictive the stock pipe is. had mine fitted for about 2-3 weeks and only noticed more power, i did have my blitz ecu fitted around the same time though so its hard to tell
  5. mine does this when i lift of the throttle slowly, its only done this since i fitted my HKS BOV
  6. yes i think so as mine was all over the place when i first fitted it, it wouldnt even change gear at high revs ! 5mins later it was fine and never missed a beat since
  7. ask Peter Betts himself ! he desighned and built it ! i dont think its to hard but you need somthing with an accurate speedo to calibrate it
  8. i have the same ECU, its probably rich as it ups the fueling, not shure on the trac light though mine is fine. make shure you only use optimax or SUL at least !
  9. i did the same, i would put money on the hazard light plug not connected
  10. sounds like fan belt to me mate, mine is the same, it gets worse in wet weather
  11. another fellow painter ! that makes 3 of us on here now. agree with all you said obove the more you mask off the more chance there is of getting the dreded flaky paint syndrome
  12. i was dwn Chris W's not long ago and he told me he was selling them as fast as he could get them made !
  13. no why, do you know anyone good its nice to be able to do it yourself but its just getting the time, we have new management now and i have to pay £20 an hour + materials used to work on my own car ! IMHO its a p*ss take !
  14. i have got the same feeling but then i get the mmmmm orange black flip feeling
  15. not yet mate, i cant track down the company that makes it, but i have seen a car with it on, a BMW, i think its one of the vibe demo cars, the vibe workshop is just up from where i work so the next time i see it i will be up there to ask
  16. Chris i dont think they are much more than this brand new and they are a use once item anyway, unless you want to mess around with double sided tape
  17. thanks for the ideas. you have backed up what i thought, i have cleaned all the joining parts with mild thinners and done the clips up with a ratchet insted of a screwdriver, just took it for a full boost run and all seems well it just seems strange that both ends popped off in one night
  18. driving home tonight nice cool air open road i decided to give it a bit of WOT, boost gauge was reading around 1.2 bar and all of a sudden i heard a very loud POP and i lost all power. the car is sounding like an old banger ! thoughts of melted sparkplugs and blown turbos run through my mind i pull over and open the bonnet, from the bang i expect to see oil and bits everywhere, but there is nothing, i start to check all the air induction pipes and the one that goes into the plenum (sp?) chamber has poped off, i give a large gasp of releif and limp home to fix it back on. i thought this would be the end of it but later on i went for another run and it happend again ! i thought it would be because i had not put the pipe on tight enough but when i looked it had popped of at the other end of the same pipe. now this could just be a coincidence but it seems unusual for them to have never done this before but to do it now in the space of 3 hours. the only thing i noticed was oil residue all over the inside of this pipe, is this normal ? or maybe this is whats lubricating the pipe so it can pop off ?
  19. good to hear you got them off i told you it would work.
  20. you have PM as i dont want anybody getting my wheel nuts off with my solution !
  21. i did a SEARCH and wanted more info than has already been posted
  22. i know this has been mentioned before but does anybody have info on doing this as my instructions are in japanese. i understand clockwise adjustment is tighter spring and anti is less tention on the spring but how sensitive the adjustment ? will putting less tention on the spring make it louder ? looking at the pictures on the box there is to stages to the "blow off" but mine only ever makes a squeak/whistle sound, is there another sound ?
  23. the calipers might be a little cheaper but then there is all the extra expence of rotors and the adapter bell things. can you use them with standard UK disks ?
  24. i have been looking at these myself they seem very good value. Paul E has them on his, i had a good chat to him about them the other day and he recomended them, he says they should already have the templates for the 330mm disks as thats what they put on his. what kind of prices were they quoting for the full kit ?
  25. well i have an RZ auto and i have exactly the same box under my drivers seat, on the carpet where it sits is a standard bracket that is actually part of the carpet, it is a little strap with a bit of velcro on each end
