  1. /Quote/ Im not 100% on this but i thought dave was the boss of WM, thats the impression i got when i went there. He's a very well paid member of staff then as he's had a supra mk4 followed by a 355/ dave is not the boss i think the guy you are thinking of with the 355 is called rob or bob, dave is the manager of the quinton branch. i was also on the phone to dave today to see if my front tyres had finally arived and gues what, still no delivery !

i get a discount from toyota to so will call them tommorrow and get a price, peter if its not painted i can order 2 and paint yours before i send it, if you want ?
  5. i also recently had a problem with wheel mania, they sold me wheels that were wrong (to small on the back) i didnt get a re-fund but they had the wheels back and i had some others, i aint actually had them yet as i am waiting for the tyres to come in, i paid a grand for my wheels and they only gave me £800 part x, they were only on the car for 50 miles, someone elts also had a problem on here with them, the tyres coming off the back or somthing !

no i was gonna put it on my bonett, but as i fit and paint stuff like this for a living its a bit pointless forking out over £100 when i can do it for fcuk all !

interested in just the scoop no fitting or sprying:)
  9. I'm gonna get some strong adhesive and try that........ famous last words ! you start off with a little and the next thing you know you the car and your drive is coverd with the stuff
  10. just had a look in the light and it is bolted, yes all mkiv should be the same but i didnt know how the door was attached, the two bolts that go into the door are the ones you need to slacken off. it really is easy dont pay toyota to do it !
  11. there will be some adjustment as long as the door is bolted and not pinned, if they are bolted slacken all the bolts except the top one and get a mate to yank the back end of the door up (with it open) and as he holds it in the yanked position tighten all the bolts back up, if it is pinned it must have a delicate adjustment with a big hammer, but i wouldnt try this yourself !
  12. i have experience in fitting loads of quarters, but not on a mkiv, was it something in particular you need to know ? i might be able to help if not i think one of the lads at work has done a mkiv that had been on its side so he should know
  13. i did exactly the same with my foglight switch. it is the third fuse accross third down, it's marked GAUGE on the back of the fuse box cover
  14. I went looking for wheels today and had loads of hastle, some shops wouldnt offer any wheels at all ! i went to wheel mania and they were very helpful, i chose the 18" k2 wheel they told me it would fit over my j-spec brakes and when i told them i was gonna upgrade to uk-spec brakes they told me to come back and they would sort it out, i thought they were gonna put spacers on but when i asked it is a proper extended part to your hub that is especially for the mkiv. if you are gonna get wheels and tyres i cant express how good the pirreli pzero tyre is !! it has transformed my car completly in the wet, it grips even on slippy islands my brakes are better and i thought i had a wheel bearing out but it was the crap tyres i had on before
  15. if the alarm is thatcham approved you can take it to any approved alarm place and they will check that everything is correctly fitted and can issue a certificate, usually around £40. but they will try to sell you a new system, just tell them you aint got the money for one.
  16. i also like the fox split rims. what kind of price on those ?
  17. ok mate i will keep you in mind
  18. i like the ones on the red mkiv in the gallery, how much would they set me back with tyres ? have you got a show room or something ?
  19. I have a jspec and i was going to have a good look around for a style tommorrow, any recomendations ?
  20. thanks for the advice, looks like i will be getting my wallet out again tommorrow !!
  21. will 19" alloys go straight on my mkiv if they are the right off set ? and what are my original 16" ones worth ? mint condition and 4 new tyres

    Fuse Box

there are 2, one under the bonnet and one right underneath the dash, drivers side, put your head right under and it is a little black box with "fuse" embosed on it. its just to the right of the throttle.
