  2. if its for the strip how about drag radials, like someone said traction is gonna be ur worst enemy for 0-60 (or if u ask matt h for the whole 1/4 mile )
  3. cheers alex, but the geezer is chucking them in free with the hks ti exhaust, so i should go with s40i as my car will be bpu plus greddy fmic?
  4. are there different types of these like with the denso's or just the one type?
  5. phil what was the progress on this?
  6. thanks for the info guys i got the spreadsheet off SF this is what i got as being ok from it front 19x9 offset 50 tyre width 255-265 with aspect ratio 30 rear 19x11 offset 50 tyre width 285 with aspect ratio of 30 this is with no work being done to the body (ie rolling/cutting fenders etc) but im thinking the ride might be a bit too harsh could do with some more input by the way reason im after wider tyres is because i figure it will help with traction
  7. im curious as to how wide is it safe to go on 19inch rear wheels with stock bodywork and what tyre width would best suit it? i know 10 inches is possible but wanted to see if 11 would be ok without the prioblems of the tyres rubbing
  8. ive been looking at the takakaira sie and noticed that they dont have one of these listed for the mkiv supra. however, i am sure ive seen one in a mkiv and so i wanted to see if anyone knows which would be compatible with the mkiv also would it be any prob with a vvti engine
  9. mate u need just one control 2 unit for the bf range cos u can daisy chain them all. i just got the whole set off jdm_uk off this board, good price and good service
  10. lol jules u may as well just turn up and take ur pick, im sure no ones gonna say no!
  11. yeah ive gone and ordered the same as phil today
  12. no my understanding is that boost controllers can only be used to raise the boost, not reduce or 'control' it.
  13. i thought peter would have turned the boost up using a boost controller
  14. gonna have to miss this one as no car, but defo the next one and if anyone is contemplating whether or not to go and is undecided i seriously suggest u go, i went to the last one and it was a wicked laugh
  15. havent got an aftermarket zorst yet but i would expect that to be the case cos the zorst on my bike gets really hot, which is quite nice in the cold cos it keeps me legs warm
  16. i had a good day, nice to put some more faces to names. the convey from south mimms was shall we say intereting. that white van driver was really annoying looked like it was gonna rain but turned out to be nice weather, dudersvr's engine bay was attracting a lot of attention and dealing out the back of the car Andy P was lusting over all the rx7's and thinking about when he's gonna get his not been to one of these before and now looking forward to billing, hopefully will have the new car by then.

  18. what about if you get a replacement ecu like the AEM or Motec, would that help?
  19. as u got a manual the rltc might help, the launch control minimizes wheels spin or something, if im correct you can nail the accelarator and drop the clutch and the rltc sorts it all out, maybe an exageration but along those lines
  20. have you got an auto or manual, cos the launch control doesnt work with autos
  21. flavio im presuming your car is left hand drive with the sp turbo on it, does anyone have a right hand drive supra with the sp kits? i quite like the sound of their budget kit, but when i posted a question on the i-supra forum larry said he didnt know if it would fit a rhd supra as hed never seen one
  22. dont suppose its possible to get a set price for cars up to bpu, its just that i presume most cars on here will go that route so i think it will be helpful to know early on how much nu would increase the premium for that
  23. have a look at alex's thread in the for sale section, he's selling denso plugs in a group buy and most people would recommend these, if you are still interested in selling the induction kit pm with a price as i may be interested, although at the moment i am actually looking at the blitz one. you should be aware that the vvti induction system is different from the non vvti's
  24. thanks to darren for checking out his radiatior. this is what he saw on the top of it, but i havent been able to find out if it is the same as the auto or not in white lettering: Toyota 4643 422171-3761 with a big Q on the side in raised leterring: SAE PA66 PA66-GF25 he said he could see a hose on the left side but couldnt see round the right side anybody know the answer? if so could you let me or john (dudersvr) know cos im getting one made up through him, cheers
  25. lol ooops my bad martin, should have clicked through to the linkyou posted to see what it was, but it does say on there that it is adjustable
