  1. Yeah that was me, sorry about that, those traffic lights separated us Did get one picture of the convoy in action though!
  2. Sounds good to me I'm from South Woodham Ferrers so could come to Southend first or meet you along the A127. What sort of time will you be heading off?
  3. Hello people, haven't been down to one of these before, but I'm in Essex so it's pretty close for me and I've just got the car back on the road. When is it and where exactly at Bluewater? Sorry there's a lot of pages to read through on this thread.

  5. I had this when my alternator went where the warning lights didn't go off after the alternator was replaced, had the same warning lights. After spending ages trying to figure out what the problem we started checking the fuses and one had blown, replaced that and everything was fine. I can't remember which fuse it was though but might be worth having a quick check of them, it was one of the small fuses.
  6. Are we talking N/A or TT? If TT have a look here for gains http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?94705-BPU-(Basic-Performance-Upgrade)
  7. Well presumably that light has been wired up to work as a fog light? If so just peel off the amber sticker and change the bulb to a red one.
  8. Good point, on my old supra someone had sprayed the old clear bulb with red paint. That came out as a sort of dull orange, didn't pass it's MOT.
  9. That'll be where they have put the rear fog light, it's usually clear because they j-sepcs have two reverse lights. Most people put in a red bulb... but I guess an amber sticker works too.

  12. Try "dave" he has plenty of good feedback on here for carbon/suede wrapping
  13. Is your rx8 a 231 or a 192? I have a 231 and I used to have an n/a supra before I got my TT supra. I don't' think there is a lot of difference between the grunt between the 231 and the n/a, so if you're looking purely for more power I'd say save up and get a TT. Also, if you're selling the rx8 I'd get a compression test done, it'll give you three numbers for each rotor, providing they are all over 7 then your engine is healthy and won't be needing a rebuild. Selling a rx8 with a healthy compression test to go with it will increase it's value, to anyone who knows about rx8's at least.
  14. It probably is unnecessary tbh. It's just the thought of someone coming along and taking it whilst it's uninsured that worries me even though it's pretty unlikely to happen and therefore I'm just talking about making it as hard as possible to do/getting the laid up cover.
  15. I'm 24, with all the mods declared my insurance for the road isn't exactly cheap so since it's off the road until the spring I'd rather not pay the renewal now.
  16. Could get the extra wheel nuts although they are pretty easy to get off without the key anyway, I managed to lose a key on a previous car. I won't post on here how. The ICE is a double din and fascia doesn't come out but may be an idea to just take out the headunit as it doesn't take long, and then take out the AVCR headunit bit. The battery charger is a good idea.
  17. Ah so that's what it's called! Cheers chaps, I will pop out the fuse, ECU... and the battery It's a TT so I'll leave the coil packs, I'm not chancing those self destructing clips again. May have a go at the steering wheel as that would put anyone off who happened to look through the window. Does the three spoke wheel have an airbag before I blow my face off?
  18. I'm taking the supra off the road this weekend for it's winter hibernation and declaring it sorn as the insurance is due for renewal next week. I live in the countryside and although I've never had anyone try and break into one of my cars before I am slightly worried at the thought of it getting stolen whilst it's not covered by any insurance. Has anyone had any experience with fire and theft only insurance? If not that I was thinking of just putting a wheel clamp on it, for some sort of piece of mind. There's no way it's getting in the garage and there would be absolutely no chance you could get a flat loader or something like that up the drive . Opinions?
  19. Sorry to spoil the party... It's for the remote central locking with the original supra key
  20. Wow thanks mate, I'm at Trax today so will will give it ago on the return Jouney. Thanks again
