Yes I agree a phone cannot be compared with a camera but you are deviating from my initial argument that iOS4 with iPhone's hardware got a better platform overall than any Android based devices can offer. And I said in another post that this might change with Google Nexus S.

iTunes is way better than anything Android can offer. Yes you can bug songs from Amazon, but the library, available songs and services offered on iTunes is better than anything Android can offer. You might disagree but you have to show me an alternative on Android platform. Overall, Zune membership is WAAAAAAAY better than both iTunes and what Android has to offer when it comes to music and video.

So you are saying a photo taken from 5 MP camera on the iPhone and a photo taken from an android based HTC or Samsung with 5MP are just one and the same? I dont think so. The camera and the procesisng software on an iphone is superior to anthing HTC or samsung can throw at it, even with dual LEDs or 8MP cameras.

Tbh I have though the same that WP7 is late to the market and would be no where good enough to compare with iOS4 and Andriod. But after using the WP7 device for the last 6 weeks I am def sure that WP7 devices can compete with iOS and Andriod in terms of the available feature set. When it comes to missing feature, yes there are a few but the big update coming in Jan should fix a few. I know you prob have not used a WP7 device so have a look at this link I posted on the other thread. iOS Vs WP7 What you dont care as a user that the OS, build quality, hardware (camera), keyboard and iTunes are much superior in iOS4?

Dude read my post I said the same thing that the flexibility is far superior in Android.

My comment about Google Nexus S rivaling IPhone is down to the fact that the previous versions of Andriod are not bad but not upto scratch to compete with iOS from an OS point. Andriod platform has lot of flexibility prob way better than iOS bu they are definitely a bit behind iOS when it comes to getting the best OS and the best out of the hardware. I think Nexus S can go past that with gingerbread 2.3.

From what I have heard about MP4-12C on the internet, I have a feeling that this is going to break a few records currently set by other cars. It will not be the fasted to 60mph car nor it will be the car clocking the highest miles per hour but I have feeling that it will break the lap times set by other cars on a lot of tracks.

Initially when I saw some reviews on the internet about WP7 way before their release, I really did not like the main UI screens with tiles and hubs though I liked the metro interface. But after having the phone for the last 6 weeks, I have nothing but praise for the amazing work MS has done. Th UI interface is very fast and fluid and it grew on me and now I think it is one of the best feature in a WP7 device. Would like to hear views from other WP7 device owners.

I think unlike Nexus One this will be a major success for Google and Android. From the initial reviews the hardware is impressive, search, voice recognition, and other google applications are amazing along with the huge market place, cannot see this phone going for anything but glory. May be this will be the first Andriod phone that might compete with an IPhone 4 until 4.5 comes out.

ok found an iPhone user's unbiased review of WP7. Before the release of WP7 I never though you can compare a WP7 phone and iOS4 as iOS4 is the best smartphone OS in the market right now with 3 years head start and 4 versions. I will wait for comments and views. Does anybody here own a WP7 device?

Yeah you are right, there is not a lot happening with Silverlight in UK. But in US they used that technology to stream Winter Olympics last time around and also the Olympics in China to various US channels. The WP7 phone is totally build on Silverlight. There is also xBox update coming soon and everything will be in Silverlight. The browser already does silverlight and the desktop has its big brother on it called WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation). You can see it in in full action when you install Zune or WMC (Windows Media Centre). This is MS convergence strategy. Thing is it is not a competitor for Flash player as many people say it is. It is a misconception. It can do some of the stuff flash can do and many it cannot. Also same is true in the reverse. It has a few features that are Flash dont. It is only competing with one technology Adobe Flash AIR.

Get a toshiba ... if you can get one in that price and spec

Well first of all I have not come in here YET ;-) and I was only singing pros about Flash Player beta and someone here comes along and calls me a fanboi and calls MS a CRAP crop, predicts that I will get a Macbook or iPhone, and somebody else changes the tags for the thread then I have to defend my position. Even though this is just another silly banter still I have to do that.

Well we can go back and forth on this but I am only defending my position when somebody here called MS a CRAP company buy generalizing everything about MS. Surely MS have done something right than the opensource group to have 90% of the desktops running their OS. You analogy of comparing Skodas and Supra doesnot sit right with MS and Apple (desktop oses n mob oses) or MS and Google (search, mob oses, browsers and cloud) or MS and SUN (oses and office suits) or MS and Java (.NET and Java Platforms) or MS and Oracle (For databases) or MS and Sony (for gaming consoles) ... Probably you should know by now where I am going with your analogy. Both Skoda and Toyota make only cars so you can compare them. But MS makes a lot of products which other companies dont ...so calling a whole company and all of it products CRAP is not necessary and undeserved. And because I point this out I dont have to be a fanboi and you dont have to change my thread tags all the time.

I am not doing any marketing for MS. I am only pointing that MS dont deserve the bashing it gets for ALL of its products. I found about Flash Beta and started this thread, so that you guy may share your experiences. I know open source does not not mean free software all the time. I know the server software is not free but the desktop one is. My question was directed to RedM about why he hates MS? Is it becoz it charges for its software? Dude HTC sense was running on WinMob 6 and 6.5 before it came on Android. Again you dont get my question here. It is about companies developing some buggy software in the first instance and getting better versions later. Which is the case with Andriod. Well IE as a product from MS deserves a good bashing for not making a decent product and still making it part of OS install. Heard about it. Doesn't mean apple is all open source. Well I worked on Oracle Databases in the past and I can tell you it is not developed on MySQL. So MySQL being opensource doesn't mean Oracle is. Well as I said again, I am not a fanboy but I think MS do not deserve the amount of bashing it gets in here.

I dont think I am deviating ... if all of the corporations mentioned above only do open source software then your argument is right. But as you mentioned they only release some of the software's code or just do some projects in open source. All of the above mentioned companies have their own proprietary software which they dont release the code for. Also this thread is about Flash player, I have no idea why the argument is about MS!
