    yeah done them about a year ago, I didn't really know what I was doin but it was actually you who advised me on what I should be doing next and they turned out mint man, cheers for that lol

    oh and the rotors and pads have about 1K on them and the brakes calipers have been fully refurbished by myself.

    Ive done a bit of searching and found a few of these threads already but none have answered my question. The rear left has an awful squeak coming from it at low speeds, so I jacked up the car and found that their is a slight contact patch on the rotor and the pad about 2cm long and this is causing the horrid squeaky noise... my question is, how do you think this happened, how can I prevent this again and should I get new rotors right away? UK spec, EBC discs and pads.

    didnt turn out as well as i thought it would, oh man its just not good lol its all made out of fabric so its soft to the touch

    like I said (still in the process) lol to be honest I think the end result is going to be horrific, shes only a soft soul as well, she'll probably have nightmares. ha

    Just tried this and still no joy. I'll trace all the wires next but that will have to wait till the morning. Thanks for the advice, Nevins.

    So if I look further into the wiring it should join into the parking sensor or something like that?

    I don't think that's a stupid question, but no it doesn't start unless its in park! It's a bit dull having to take a fuse out every time I want my keys back so I've just left it out for now.

    I've replaced these wires with the correct fuse and now the ignition barrel doesn't release my key? I had to pull the fuse to get my key out again, I don't understand how this works. When its wired up with the red switch I have to turn it off to get my key back!

    the clips that hold the plastic part in their have been broken too, probably during this job! whos got monkeys attack part 1 then? lol

    yeah its just spade connectors bodged in their I'll get a fuse in it tomorrow then.

    Iv'e had this Supra (95,tt,auto) for a few years now and I really need to find out what this red button is all about on the other side, its wired into the fuse box under the drivers side footwell they go into the air con fuse, and all the switch does is turn the air con on and off a while back before the garage got a hold of it the switch also done something to the ignition barrel and if the switch was on the barrel would not release the key. its not causing any trouble, its just a bit random really. any thoughts on this?

    I had this problem with an old car I had years ago about a month after, it wouldnt even move into those gears and had to replace the whole box. I was to young to ask/care But that's just my experience! I need to get this ridiculous statue out my living room supra dan lol.

    Great write up their, very helpful for me. mines has just started making that harmonic noise as you described it (sounds like there's a hole in the car somewhere and the wind is whistling through it in a low pitch) I was worried when mine was doin it as it started making that noise just as the boost was coming on, I thought the worst. Did you also get a squeaky noise on the wheels between 1-15 mph?
