Saw your stunning black gte last Friday afternoon! You caught me taking pictures as you came out of the shops would really like to see under that trd bonnet of yours in the day sometime!& have a real chat about that engine of yours was a bit out of it Friday after working some stupid hours that week! Lewis

Woop woop! common the NA-T
-
Yeah the injectors are maxed out. Hence why I'm looking to follow gixer with the injectors. Wouldnt hurt for you to get them though Ideally though want to do it with a new engine in the future. But I'm happy with the power at the moment haven't got any videos of it yet dude. Need to get some to finish my thread soon as though.
-
Really nice clean build! Subscribed really nice colour scheme! Looks the bee's I'm running stock injectors fine by the way but I'll be doing the same as gixer
-
Exactly! Lol! Felt like an absolute animal compared to 222 dyno checked bhp. To be honest, at the time I was just looking for the initial NA-T hp gain.& thought I can always buy another 2JZ GE and rebuild it to get some more ponies... Like Dr_Jekyll has done. But now I'm thinking as soon as the scales are tipped at 450bhp a new gearbox may be on the cards aswell. Just wait until you drive your NA-T for the first time... No probs with the t61 lag. Spools for about 3800 rpm with good power straight to the redline
-
Looking forward to seeing this I'm using standard injectors at 8.5 psi & alls good dude. & like Barney& Nic said TT& NA fuel pumps are the same, don't listen to the mr t sales rep lol! Replaced mine with a walbro though cause I'm thinking it's room for more power for when& if I want more bhp... +1 with what bigbloodyturbo said, wait until you see that snail sitting next to your engine :d
-
Overall condition. Mechanically needed to be sound. Wasn't to bothered about it being a TT or NA, but decided on NA being my first real car but definitely a manual. As for service history I trust garages with my car as much as I would Fritzel baby sitting. Personal experience of garages in the past and stories of mishaps like Abz's. Would rather speak to the seller & make an assessment or do the work myself
-
Yeah no worries mate or maybe a show somepoint next year Will try and get this thread finished with videos as soon as.
-
For that power a NA-T will see you there. But cost you the conversion. Even fitting yourself... But a TT should be good for it.just have to pay that little bit more.& if you get bored, BPU it lots of pro's & con's either way. Just depends what you want& what suits you And if I remember when I was going to insure my car originally the Turbo option was cheaper?! Not sure if this was the same for anyone else???
-
Mate looking amazing!!! Can't wait to see the finished project by the way have you thought about making a rear diffuser?! ha ha
-
What war? They'll need an army for that.... And there won't be any of that left when they cut the pensions! Who the f*** voted for Cameron?! Honestly a p*** up in a brewery would be the cryptom factor to that mong! & v-power here 140.9 ppl

I was going to say be careful you don't get stung with the import charge... But it looks like they don't sell them on the official site anymore... But here's where NOT to shop: http://www.ab88.co.uk/mobile_product_info.php?pName=ab88-autobahn-88-exhaust-manifold-header-toyota-supra-na-jza80-non-turbo Tried sending mine back explaining it wouldn't fit without modding. Arranged to get them to pick up... Postman never came!& stopped replying to emails!
-
Yeah just makesure it's autobahn88 not ab88.co.uk. Ab88 sell the obx manifold which is the problem one. as Neil explained earlier it's designed for lhd supras. And thats where you get the steering collum problems...But the official autobahn88 manifold is gooood the official has it's name on a plate welded on the piping.& a lovely 3" outlet compared to the other current 2 options of 2.5"
-
Autobahn 88 niiice Lovely manifold! 3" outlet?Wanted to buy one of these but ended up on a fraudy (ab88) rip off site and got the obx mani... Would have fitted it. But luckily one of Nics poped up you could always wait for whifbitz or another one of Nics to show?! But if your like me and far to impatient can't see a problem with Neil's mani even if it is just temp? Cheap enough... Or you could just buy a second hand stock NA manifold cheap & rip out all that Eco bumf stuffed in the bottom
-
Yeah heard they aint that great. Probably wait until mine starts giving me problems first & then get a better one &I'm not sure what models of supra it comes off. But I was quite lucky to get a SZ-R with all the extras like the diff, abs etc. As far as it goes I think it's the lowest ratio diff for the supra. Had a quick search but couldn't find the thread with all explained. I'm sure someone with alot better knowledge will be along to correct& explain Was just hoping it might help save money?! It seems good with acceleration... But I think I'd now probably of gone with a lightweight flywheel if I could do it again.

Should be- is opportunity to save money lol! I'm sure I can find some parts and have a go quite lucky with the NA TB mounting points What's your thoughts on swapping the walbro back to a stock (new?)fuel pump? Should I wait and get a fuel map in a few weeks? And if I went back to a stock pump would a new fuel filter help with a better flow to the injectors? -
Am I correct in thinking your going to be using a similar kit to mine?t61 xs etc? If so mate I'm using the same stage 4 clutch on a w58. Skipped out on the flywheel being a tight git& all and still if I drive like a twat& plant my foot I can end up spinning all the way through to 3rd. Plenty of acceleration there with my A01B diff aswell. Hope that helps a little.

Try fizzle he was selling 1 of Nic's manifolds a few weeks ago. These are well worth getting with a nice straight through system it sounds lovely!

Nice! Can't wait to see the splitter fitted etc

Aah! Thought that was what you ment seen these before, but not on such a large manifold!? With these, is it a case of custom fabrication? Or do somebody like Titan do these for the 2jz? When I was fitting the mani& turbo to my engine I was wondering if it could hold all that weight... Thanks for all the info -

Not quite arctic... But we really don't tend to have the best weather here so what can we do in the way of bracing then? -

Cheers Chris! Appreciate the offer up of help& advise a conclusion has been reached upon inspection today. The turbo blades where inspected& are fine. The manifold despite heat wrap is fine, along with the down pipe after removal& a good inspection of both. The only reason that could be found was... after the NA-T the car was mapped on a stock pump. which couldn't handle the increased stress after 16 years.so with the walbro fitted it was causing over fueling. And obviously the reason it was running rich& with the excess fuel it was bogging down& struggling to make power..... The car after Dr_Jekyll road shotgun watched the boost gauge make 0.48 & AFR start to go back up to 11.4 from 10. So options I now have are a fuel map or refit a more reliable stock pump. Quick question, I always assumed the heat wrap was an to retaining heat in the manifold but also helped with a more steady cool down? I know extreme temperatures can cause cracking. But I would have thought the heat wrap might have saved the manifold etc from extreme temperature changes on switch off and start up? If this isn't the case do you think it would be better to remove the heat wrap? Or would it depend on what reasons you use the car? For instance track or daily drive. -

Oh dear, sounds about right will try today... But honestly didn't think something like that would happen so early on. Thought heat wrap would help prolong the life -

Anybody, anybody dust?! Dust? Anybody? No? Dust, anybody? I wouldn't be offended if I'm wrong. I was just hoping somebody could help shed some light as to where I could start looking to start sourcing the problem
