    Hello :)

Its amazing, usually these hello threads get maybe 5 replies. A Becky handle seems to get a lot more interest. Note to anyone thinking of joining, call yourself Janice.
  2. It's the flat tyre that's showing a disregard for presentation
  3. Ads been revised to 'ono offers'. That makes sense, although its repeating the offers. Next it'll be just 'offers'.
  4. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=215694&d=1479225807 A Jake Cousins NEC picture
  5. Do make sure you are insured to drive it. Last thing you'd need is a fine and 6 points.
  6. As the ad says - no offers. I can see them getting no offers. A turd by any other name for only £3,550
  7. I had my BBS painted BMW shadow chrome and they suit a white car better than standard silver being more a graphite colour. Its more expensive as its a two paint process of silver on black but I think it was worth it.
  8. I had the garage fit mine as easiest done with a ramp and they said eazy pezy fit which I cannot imagine meant cutting anything. I have a stock bumper.
  9. Hope its not your only car. I took my Supra out yesterday morning for the first run in a couple of weeks and when all is well its a good way to spend an hour or so. Lets hope yours is back with you soon though how long does an ECU test take?
  10. Try posting into the Forum: England - Yorkshire section and PM some of the events organisers there as they should be able to tell you if anyone in the area has a auto NA and identify the members or approach them on your behalf.
  11. Thx all - ordered in a Walbro 255lph pump from driven2automotive as they bang on about genuine parts and we all know how fleabay is the counterfeiters dream outlet. I'll be referring to this spot a fake guide when the part arrives.
  12. Always fun to seek out cheap equivalents and there are Chinese parts traders at $5 a unit for multi-buy. Which seems to then retail at around $20.. From $5 to $400 for a 190l/min fuel pump. Amazing. - - - Updated - - - Do you have the p/n on that Ric?
  13. I'll be removing my fuel tank so figured changing out the 21 year old fuel pump for something newer could be a reasonable call while the tank is off. Been looking up the OE pump 23221-46070 and its a 'really is that correct' on the pricing; ranging from $300 to $420 which will probably translate to £500 Toyota UK which is a bit silly for a fuel pump. What are the options for alternatives for the GTE engine? The OE pump is a Denso unit and DENSO 950-0155 is touted as the one to go for at around £150. Anyone fitted the DENSO 950-0155 and can confirm all is well in BPU World. Or indeed any other alternatives around that price?
  14. I fully expect I'll end up buying new pretty much everything before I'm done. I'm just in denial at the moment thinking recycled parts will do, so I just need to get myself mentally prepared first ready to put several calls into Mr Toyota.
  15. Spot the 2K paint job, that's an unfair comparison to frothy impact resistant Underguard. I have thought about getting new arms but I'm going bide my time on that and look over the ones on the car first when they are off before going down that expensive path. I have options there as the replacement frame came with all the arms and hubs but the bushes, ball joints and dust covers on those aren't fantastic. It was all supposed to be off a low mileage import car but they must have been hard miles. But I'll have two sets to look at with the option of picking the best from two used or going for new. Decisions don't come easy or cheap. I just know if I elect to go new I'd just have to buy all new for the front end at the same time ready for when that is done. That'd get to be lots of money with new rods, arms and bushes.
  16. People seem to rave about this stuff as a fuel additive that cleans (including carbon deposit stripping) and lubricates the upper parts of the engine and injectors. I even bought some myself. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Lucas+Oil+Upper+Cylinder+Lubricant+%26+Injector+Cleaner+&sourceid=ie7&rls=com.microsoft:en-GB:IE-ContextMenu&ie=&oe=&gfe_rd=cr&ei=uDZeWZO6EYb38AeVvbjABg#q=Lucas+Oil+Upper+Cylinder+Lubricant+%26+Injector+Cleaner&tbm=vid&spf=1499346635648
  17. Solid bushes out and sleeve cleaned up. They came out a lot easier than expected. Did a 1K etch prime coat followed by two coats of Simoniz Underguard. That's strange paint as it froths up when applied. Presumably to give it a deliberately crinkly type of finish. Supposed to be impact resistant paint so every crinkle counts. Next update will be beginning of September when I will try manfully to get all the new bushes (some just ordered) mated with the frame.
  18. I'd check another engine using the same gauge as it'd be an act of faith to just accept what a gauge tells you in absolute terms unless it has been recently calibrated.
  19. New ones are still available and ordered today. This frame will be a £1,500 piece of kit by the time new OE bushes included.
  20. Links to a couple of pictures of the solid bushing. One thing I'm a little concerned about trying to cut the mounts out of the frame is that it appears as though it has a spacer ring as well as the solid mount welded to the frame. Maybe it needs a professional metal shop to tackle this job? https://www.dropbox.com/s/leulzynagipcdxc/20170704_132322.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/0bezuso9yxad600/20170704_132225.jpg?dl=0
  21. They are solid which to be honest I'm a bit miffed about as I wasn't made aware it was a modified frame when I purchased it and never having seen one before except the one fitted to my car I never clocked the solid front mounts. I have wondered what to do with those front mounts as all the other bushes are going to be the rubber OE variety. The thought of transmission noise makes me want to tackle the welds holding these solid bushes onto the frame with a thin cutting disc but then there is the concern I could end up with a very uneven surface for the new bush. Any thought on leave alone or go for it because the noise will be unbearable (sods law, one 1cm weld is inaccessible to a cutting disc)?
