  2. I think I may have this on film! Certainly made me laugh out loud! [GRIN][/GRIN] Also, who was it who stopped just short of the Cafe to look in their engine bay, only to leave the handbrake off and watched the car start to roll away?? The sheer panic on their face was priceless!! (Personally I wouldnt have jumped in front of it to stop it though!!
  3. Ooo Im excited now... see you all in a few hours!
  4. An ex-boss of mine told me a few years back, when he and his then-wife split up, he had to settle some payments to her to the sum of £5500 as part of the divorce settlement. He paid that in £1 coins!

  6. Russ, as per PM, Im good to go. Ill meet you at the Farthing Corner Services (the one with Burger King) on the M2 at 6:30. Then its only a 15 minute or so drive to Dartford from there.
  7. Jap spec mate. Are the N/a and TT brakes the same? Im not entirely sure.... Anyhow, mines an N/a
  8. As above. Needed for L plate JDM Supe. Thanks
  9. Imi, I think the Sky box gets either its TV listings or possibly the games/service through the phone line, thats all. Ive just checked the configuration of the ADSL filter and the other leads and it looks like the Skybox was set up to be before the ADSL filter, Ive swaped it the opposite way around and it looks to be working now. Thanks Gav, it was your message that kinda got my mind working...long day at work!
  10. Has anyone else experienced a very slow broadband internet connection once Sky HD has been installed? Does anyone know what is gained by pluggng the HD box into the phoneline? Is it just all games and services become available? And will it affect the usual Sky operation if I took the phoneline plug out? When its in, its painfully slow (like 56k or slower) then soon as its unplugged, back up to its usual speed. Any comments on this or simular experience??
  11. I think these are: Ronal 'Teddies'
  12. My brothers RX8 was very juicy and he stuffed it through a fence after 3 months. A mixture of inexperience, useless standard tyres and traction control cutting in at the wrong time sent him off the road. (dont mean to worry you by that) Very nice car though, nice interior, guzzles the oil and fuel though. I forget what he got through the RX8OC, think it may have been something like pen, keyring, calender, membership card and news letter oh and some stickers too. On another point, I thought the Wankel engine had been redesigned with better rotor tips so they were meant to last 80-100k before rebuild time...
  13. Just a few ideas - Heat shield on the exhaust?? or maybe the auxilary belt tensioner bearing? Mines a bit noisy at higher RPMs... Does it only appear between certain RPMs or is it constant after 5-5.5k rpm to the redline?
  14. Ha ha, t'was tha scruffy look for a Hawaian/beach party. (your be pleased to know, weve both had a shave!)
  15. Heres me and my biatch! haha. (hope she doesnt come on here and read that!)
  16. Ive had a DC5 and it was a great drive - had it nearly 2 years and never failed to put a smile on my face! Was so sad when I parted company with it. Good performance, reliability and economy too, but just lacks torque! My brothers had an RX8 and they are juicy as hell....he was at the petrol station every other day it seemed, and to be honest, didnt find it as exciting as the RX7, as its n/a. My brothers now got the FN2 civic, and that is a fantastic car, loads of gadgets and quite quick too. I was never a fan of them and thought Honda was going backward by not using the independent rear suspension, but it does SERIOUSLY handle well! (and even keeps up with my n/a Supe in a straight line) [OOPS][/OOPS] Id say DC5 (but I am biased)
  17. My parents cat has got a thing about catching birds at the moment...bought back 5 birds and 2 mice in the last week alone! And this morning I walked outside to find blood spats up the side of the Supe...guess hes had another one...and I only cleaned it yesterday!!
  18. LMAO!! What a p***k! lol So full of himself!
  19. From Austin Rover Online: 'The engine design was then sold to TWR (Tom Walkenshaw Racing) and after some development work on the cambelts and plenums, the engine would make a re-appearance; initially in 3.5-litre form in the Group C Jaguar racing cars, but then in the back of the sensational 217mph Jaguar XJ220.'
  20. Im sure I read somewhere...(and correct me if Im wrong) but the N/a version of this engine was put in the Metro 6R4...now thats a project
  21. No I wasnt, I had it 2006, sold it towards the end of the year? Did you see it then? Had a vinyl plate on the bonnet R123 ...?
  22. The vortec system basically uses the drive from the engine to power a gear box, which in turn drive a turbo. Very simple theory really...their website probably shows it better: http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/category_browser.php?level=1&ln=SUPERCHARGERS Can re-gear the boxes to produce more boost..or something to that theory. They also use a chargecooler just before the inlet manifold to cool the air right down.
