Thanks for all your help, especilally to you detailed answer. I've been told good things about the goodyear f1, unfortunately I have to chose between the ones mentioned in my 1st post because this size is all but common here in France so I'll have to order from internet, otherwise the tyres are very expensive in stores.... I don't know how much they are in the UK but here I got a 400-ish quote per tyre for the michelips2 for instance.....

I have to change my 2 rear shoes (265-30-19). I'm looking for tyres that have the extra bump protecting the rim and have to choose between : VREDESTEIN ULTRAC FALKEN FK 451XL HANKOOK VENTUS S1 EVO K 107 also maybe YOKOHAMA AVS SPORT V103 PIRELLI P ZERO NERO XL but I'm not sure these 2 ones have the protecting bump. Do some of you have owned/tested these tyres, and what would you recommand for daily use ?

Do you think they would fit a UK spec ? anyway the strange sound which made me think I would need those has disappeared so far so I couldn't even check again to make sure

Well, When I collected the car 10days ago I was told the front discs and pads needed replacing, but the sound seems to be coming from the rear....

Thanks Tony, I first thought so but the clac only occurs at the moment I start hitting the brake, no other strange sound while I'm actually braking, it just sounds like a toy gun or something, I don't know if I'm making it clear.....

At last I could go collect my new toy(ota) last week end. (stock 1994 tt auto) Flew to newcastle, met Jurgen (thanks again buddy !) then drove the car back to cover -> Calais -> Paris. I was really surprised how much of a smooth ride the supra is, I was expecting something more savage/uncomfortable but was positively surpised I've driven about about 2500 miles with it so far and had ALMOST n,o problem with it (seem my "what do you do when....?" post). I hope I can add some pictures soon !

1) you can hear a very noticeable "clac" sound when you hit the brakes ? Seems to come from the rear wheels, driving forward or reverse, regardless to speed (even when parking), oly occurs when I start hitting the brakes, if I release them halfay and push again there's no weird sound, but if I release them completely and brak eagain, then I get a metallic sound. 2) your windscreen rubber-joint gets half ripped off by a50 mph trip ? Thanks for your help

Hi all, I finally got my hands on my UKspec tt this week end (will post on this topic later). Now I'm back in France with the supra and still have rhd headlights (the black ones). I'm waiiing for the euro-lhd-headlights to be fitted but till then I need to stick the adhesive-plastic thing on the headlight to avoid dazzling other drivers here in france, but I have no idea which way I'm supposed to stick them precisely. Anyone ?

looking between Newcastle and London Hi all, first off, sorry Homer for posting in the wrong section but I'm after a quick feedback and I guess I'll get more audience here. I'm collecting my car in Newcastle on saturday then driving back to London -> Dover -> France. Found a lovely yet affordable hote in a castle near nottingham but it's eventually unavailable. Would anyone have a suggestion of a nice place for a one night stay ?

Just to make sure, on a stock UKspec TT, front calipers are 4 pot not 2, right ? And what about the rear ones ?

I'm about to have both front seats retrimmed, I was first thinking of just having them done the stock way (cream leather) but I might go for something more custom (color combination or something....), I just don't know what to ask for So I'm looking for ideas and/or example pictures, knowing that the rear seats will remain unchanged for now and that the car is storm-blue
