  1. this ones here to stay, the only thing that will stop me is a melted piston but im sure that wont happen as AFR are tuning it. its good to be sceptical, i like pos and negs
  2. lol, once done ill sure see whos quicker off the line lol. and once done i may look at kits for people, i got that SC at an absolute bargain, fully refurbed aswell. they usualy go for around $2900, but lets see what happens first.
  3. yes andrew, all parts and all tuning (once i butter dude and matt up with some alcohol spiked engine oil ) but all labour and time etc will be done by me.
  4. whys that? you have doubts? if you go down the vortech route etc etc then your looking at £5000++++ this is to see what can be done and see the way it responds to it, wait for my next one if this goes ok, TT with supercharger and that can be done also lol cheers though bud
  5. Good point but why buy "Another" TT, why not be different cheers all for the support :)
  6. Around 450bhp hopefully lol the whole lot im hoping to do in under £2000 but may push slightly over. but have no fear its all started and WILL be finnished
  7. hey all, Just thought i would start a thread to let everyone know how the supercharger project comes along. well all planning has been done and parts are flying in. anything purchased i have crossed out, heres the list, Eaton M112 supercharger with charge coolers Walbro Fuel Pump BOV Cam Pulleys (vernias) E-manage with sensors and harness 650cc OR 720 cc injectors custom bonnet all custom pipeing for the coolers and intake all custom mounting custom crank pulley whatever belt im going to need (size depending on finnish mount) all starting to come along nicely. as some of you know i had my n/a dyno this weekend at the AFR meet, courtesy of matt we pulled an impressive 227 bhp @ the fly which im extremely pleased with. the only mod is a Blitz Nur cat back exhaust. ill be pulling the engine this week to give it a thorough inspection and then refit. anyone who has any of the parts please feel free to contact me as id rather pay good second hand for a 1st project just incase jez
  8. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=184056 couple of pics here but not many
  9. the usb port isnt connected to anything. all it does is give power. was an added feature for future use. good for charging your ipod or phone through usb though
  10. thats happening down here aswell, there digging up loads of drives. you can get compensation or everything put back if you contact the local councill, so long as you own the house though
  11. hey all, anyone know if the N/A and TT headgaskets are the same apart from thickness? they using the same port holes etc. also what compresion the N/A is running and what the TT is running. cheers jez
  12. be easyer buying a bar and 1/2 drive socket. have it off in no time
  13. Patience and strength, try to use two spanners ended over each other, "ring over open" to give better length and leverage.
  14. are they for sale????? i want them if they fit my n/a!!
  15. every sub is different but id strongly recomend calling the solicitor. should be a free consultation then will prob charge £50 to write up.
  16. caliper wind back tools are mainly used for the rear calipers as most moddern cars and some older cars have wind back calipers. you can do it without it but you have to twist and push at the same time, takes forever. they were never on supra front brakes though. jez
  17. i doubt it, hes getting hard start from cold. you need to have the battery disconected for at least 1 minute to reset the ecu, did you do this?
  18. there clamp downs, you need big o ring connectors (cable size depending) on the end of the cable to secure them down, i see people all the time just wrap the cable round and tighten the nut lol. make sure its a good snug fit bud then as said before if its not made any difference and you have checked all the cables on the battery and the earth point / fuse box then problem is elsewhere. have you reset the ecu?
  19. water pump pliers or anything you can use to lever it. absolutely anything really. all you have to do is put pressure on the piston and push. but as a few say we use water pump pliers
  20. are the ones you have on now the slide in cable style? then 2 flat screws to hold the cable in place? if so then you need to fit as much cable in there as possible, even overlapping in to pack in up inside otherwise is will not get a good earth at all! thats what it sounds like.
