  1. How is the fwhp to whp coversion worked out? my math is not my strong point (along with many other things) i have always just gone of the dyno plot that TDi gave me which was just over 200whp corrected to 232.6fwhp i am guessing using a 15% loss correction. I however know dynos are nothing to go by and are just a tuning or reference point tool *edit* You pretty much just answerd it lol.
  2. They do vary a tiny bit, mine said it should be 13.9-14.2, I did 14.5 with a 2.4 60ft, so I would think I can do that with decent road tyres and a 2.1 60ft.
  3. It may well be very wrong but check post 4 on this thread - http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?242628-Northwest-dyno-day-picture-and-video-thread&highlight=north I also made 232.6 fwhp and the car roughly weighs 1300-1350kgs suggesting the 97.47 i did on the 1/4 is right. As said i will wait till its been on the hub dyno soon to confirm the results, but it means nothing as it will have had a new engine etc.
  4. I dont know why you guys dont just buy an Apexi Neo or something similar, will be cheaper than the mines, can be mapped for your car and may provide better benefits (getting rid of over fuelling) unless its the high rev lim it you want, which is pointless as stock they have run way out of steam by then. To the OP, i am talking about the NA here, i have heard the Mines is awesome on the TT.
  5. Hope all goes well David, its been a long time coming.
  6. I'm not convinced, I think tdis numbers for our cars was fairly spot on, reason being the 1/4 mile mph of my car for the weight, now I know its not accurate but most of the calculating sites say that with my power and weight I should be doing 97-99 mph, which suggests I have a true 230 fwhp NA. Yours obviously has the stronger engine or I wouldn't be going to the hassle of buying it off you. Scott I know you disagree with the above as it has been talked about before, but for arguments sake until it goes to the hub dyno and weigh bridge let's assume its right.
  7. heard that this morn, did make me chuckle.
  8. Spotted this on Suprastore, don't know if its been posted before, quite a large gain for not much money - http://www.suprastore.com/stag1nonsupp.html Not 100% convinced, as with all yank dyno figures its probably just been pulled out of someones ass. And discuss
  9. I have some enkies that are 3 piece and have a seal, no way will i split them, these volks are fine as they are only 2 piece
  10. Hardly ever works at the moment on my phone, just freezes when loading.
  11. No, WD is a water displacer, plusgas is a penetrating fluid. I will do some research on the bolt torque when putting them back together iirc you dont torque them up that much.
  12. I left them soaking for 10 mins, the bolts took around 15mins in total to remove, just took my time to make sure the socket was on as flat as poss so i didnt round any, they ar'nt too bad on my wheels as its literally just a nut and bolt, i have seen some wheels with fancy bolts that i wouldnt like to have a go at. Didn't bother to deflate the tyre.

    CNC Machining

I'm sure Hodge has something to do with cnc ing, though i am probably wrong.
  14. Not one snapped, i blasted the backs with plusgas then used a 6mm allen key on the fronts and a six sided 10mm socket on the back, so far all have come out quite easy.
  15. After 2 .5 years of owning the car i have finally decided to do something about my aweful wheels, so the plan is to strip them all down and mirror polish the whole wheel (i tried this on a set of stock 16s for suprapod last year but ran out of time) Here are pics so far of the 15 year old Volk AV3 wheels. How the wheel looks complete. Rim split down. Centre split down. If the centres don't polish up to well i am looking at getting them powder coated in a colour i have yet to decide. The aim is a wheel refurb thats as cheap as possible, i will update the thread once or twice a week if anyone is interested.
  16. Ride height will stay the same as i am on KYB AGX shocks. Will try for 10mm then, thanks Scott.
  17. Now you ladies have put your hand bags away please tell me what spacers i can get away with
  18. Double checked the front and it say 'of +44' i assume that is offset of 44.
  19. Hmm, they seem to sit quite far in the arch, will find a pic for you.
  20. Right just checked and rear is 17x10", 265/40/17 tyres with 41 offset.
  21. So you missed my project NA 300 build from a few years back.
  22. Surely it can be done so only the op can post in the thread which cuts down on the ass kissing and negative comments, mind you it might get a bit boring. Oh and ScottM for mod
