  1. hi , could someone just give me a few pointers as to the removal of the panel. my new mirror arrives tomorrow , and with the weather being rarther crappy , i dont want to be messing around to much . thanks peter
  2. its sad to see people leaving , its my third year this year , and the bbs does seem to have changed a bit . still very informative, although i think its leaning towards the boy racer type club , which is ok if thats what your into . dont want to get into an argument with anyone , but thats my opinion, which iam entitled to . cheers peter
  3. rosie , its called growing up
  4. i had a feeling somebody would be cleaver on this subject , i read what you added there geoff, yeh really explains the mans question ! if your a rocket scientist.
  5. hi alex ,the numbers of the oil goes something like this . the first number is the thickness of the oil, so you want a low number but not to low , for the reasons youve stated , and the second number is the operating temperature the oil can handle , so a high number is good for turbo engines like in the supra . cheers peter
  6. hi , ive used valvolene in the car for the last year 5 50 , now its called vr1. had no problems with the oil passing any seals, seems to suit the car very well . in fact just ordered four bottles from gaz .
  7. jake you arse, i missed that . cossie a al .

  9. hi rosie ,got the stickers for the first year , didnt get anything for the second . a mug would be nice though.
  10. i havnt done any mods to my engine dont intend to either , fast enough for me . oh i have got a shinny rad pipe to fit , but that wont warrant optimax lol.
  11. hi db , as i said i put normal unleaded in from sainsburys . havnt had any probs with the car its the third year with the mkiv . i think if the fuel was wrong to use it would have shown by now in some way or another. pisses the mot every year just had the compresions checked they are all good . dont see the point of paying for the likes of optimax , fuel is dear enough as it is .
  12. i think all this fuel argument is a load of old bollocks , ive tried optimax , as most of this club swear by it . but to be honest noticed no difference from the normal unleaded i put in at sainsburys . there was a thread a few months back where one of the boys was trying to get a deal with shell for the optimax , but to no avail . these companies are just taking the piss out of car owners like us . and at the end of the day would you buy something that quentin wilson was endorsing , need i say any more.
