  1. Taken it to a chap i know who is very reliable, to pin down exactly where the leak is coming from. I have lots of body parts crossed at the moment and cheque book on standby!
  2. My more pressing issue is that i don't know who to take it to to get it fixed. There are a distinct lack of (quality) specialist performance place in Blackpool/lancs. Looks like i'll have to fork out to get it on a flatbed aswell as i can't really drive it too far!
  3. Expensive? Specialist job? Should i call Chris Wilson or a priest?
  4. I can't afford to drive it like this at the moment. It's doing about a litre every mile!
  5. Well it's Tuesday and i don't think there's been an oil leak thread in the last 20 minutes, so i might as well start one! Drove home from work a couple of day ago and the oil light came on, checked dip stick and it was VERY empty. Chucked 3-4 litres of the good stuff in only to find it had nicely decorated my driveway about 2 hours later. Took it to the garage to see if they could source the leak. They took an educated guess that it was coming from the camshaft covers and said they didn't want to touch it as they have little experience with Supras. (they did top it up with oil for free for the return journey, which was good of them) Drove home following the trail of oil i had left on the way to the garage!! (the car is positively urinating oil at this stage.) Anyway, enclosed picture. Would you agree with the diagnosis?
  6. I'm so glad someone else knows what it's like. I do find that i lack in confidence and i hope this will go some way to sorting it out. I'm just looking forward to being able to smile. It may sound simple, but i've not been able to smile with confidence for many years. People do notice and i have had many people say that i come across as being miserable. Not true, but it is amazing how much it affects peoples opinions of you! Thanks for the low down on the operation! How long were you in hospital for? Oh, and more importantly, how long can i blag off work?
  7. Yes, every time they put in a stronger wire it aches for about 2-3 days afterwards, it is painful to eat and generally not nice. Look on the bright side though, if you can't eat anything, think of it as a diet! I have had fixed braces top and bottom in for about 15 months now. In the new year i go in for an operation to have my lower jaw broken and moved forward about 8-9mm. It will be then joined together with titanium plates. This is then followed by another 6-7 months of fixed braces to re-align my bite. By the way i'm 32. I applied to have the work done when i was 24. It took the NHS 7 years to find a surgeon to do the operation! When all this is all completed i'm doing a Richard Hammond and having my teeth whitened and then booking in a top class restaurant for the biggest steak dinner the world has ever seen!! So, well done on getting the braces claire! It will be worth it in the end. Or so everyone keeps telling me!!
  8. One white one parked up at Clover Leaf Garage, looked stock. One silver one driving towards Morrisons at about 4.45pm today. number plate was something like **** HTE. Haven't seen any in ages! Then 2 in 2 minutes!
  9. She is stunning. Eastern europe do have some seriously attractive ladies. Very talented too, couldn't stop watching!
  10. sounds interesting! I'll get my thinking cap on! Haven't used those file formats before. I'll have to have a look on Solidworks tomorrow to see what's what. Do you have any requests?
  11. Thank mate! Yeah, the wheels are one of my favorite parts of the car too. I do remember two bikes going past, i was just about to turn right into my road at the time.
  12. Yep. That will have been me! Veilside front tho! There were a few bikes knocking around last night, which way were you going, towards blackpool or towards Lytham?
  13. Me and a couple of mates have been reviving the high five for a few months now. You should see the looks of respect we get in the pub! By the way I think "wazzock" should be in with a shout aswell!
  14. One close up shot. And one of me having a quiet night in!

  17. Yeah, i'm in the process of getting my V5 changed. It states the engine size as 2009cc!
  18. True, but you would be further away from the centre of the earth (where the density is at it's greatest) therefore the gravitational pull would be less.
  19. Bring your daughter to the slaughter - Iron Maiden Ought to go down well with the in laws.
  20. Cheers for that. It was also quite hot today and i was stuck in a bit of traffic for a while. You reckon that could have caused it? However, all the gauges were within their limits! Not sure who i could take it too tho! Would a good auto electrician be able to sort it or is it a more specialist job?
  21. Just finished tarting up my interior (carpet dyeing) and looking forward to taking out the supe in the fine weather that has been promised this weekend. However, when i took it for a quick spin the engine warning light came on. Typical Checked the error code and it came up with error 55, knock sensor No 2 (rear). How serious is this?
  22. Washed and dyed the carpets from grey to black today following the 'how to guide', and wow what a transformation. The carpet has come up great. The mats however........not so great. It seems that the pile of the mats are alot thicker and therefore don't seem to take the dye as well. They just seems to turn dark grey. Just wanted to ask if anyone else has had the same issue. If so, what did you end up doing about it? Did you just persevere and keep rubbing in more and more dye, or is there a technique of applying it that i'm not aware of?
