  1. Saw you today in the daily M60 traffic jam on the M60 just going over the bridge past chill factor. Must say that exhaust sounds a bit fruity! I was in the golf on the way back from work!
  2. NOW SOLD!! I'll be sad to see it go, but a new job in Manchester and a deposit on a house is apparently "more important than that damn car" I have owned the car for 2 years and the previous owner was another member on this forum (Stupra) the car is Taxed and tested and has 130,000Km on the clock and is in good condition. Problems: Mechanically she runs perfectly. The only issue is that the boost gauge doesn't work. I'm sure this is my fault as i believe i clamped the pipe to the gauge when i took the dash off to install the new stereo. So should be an easy fix. Body work: Slight scorching of the paint around the exhaust exit. But in general for a car that is 15 years old she's in good nick! (see pics) Here are the specs ENGINE. As it is she's all yours for £5995 Please contact Stuart on 07989 710519 if you are interested.

  4. No, this was about 5 mins after you left, 2 idiots in another MPV:rolleyes:. I only hung around for another 10 mins after you left. Wish i'd checked the forum before i left now! Hope the kids enjoyed the lights, god knows they waited long enough!
  5. Nope! Fraid not. Twas freezing on that car park! Although i was treated to a a couple of chavs handbreaking an MPV at about 9.45pm Was nice to meet you Adz, got a very clean car there! (note to self: must get some UK glass headlights)

  9. Was working away in Belgium on thursday last week and saw a white uk spec in Zwevegem near the factory i was working in! Anyone on here?? It's a long shot but you never know!!!
  10. I'm interested in this also! It looks a very good job if it is just a whitening pen. In my experience the effect of the pens don't last very long, they tend to flake off after a few days. How do the American tyre companys (eg Goodyear) get the white writing on their tyres? What do they use?
  11. I've always been under the impression that they don't hold their value very well. Would it not be better to get one 6 months old?
  12. There are too many jealous, mindless pricks about, even in St Annes. Wouldn't you just love to have caught them in the act! [ANGRY][/ANGRY]
  13. Me too! Haven't seen your motor about much. Have you just bought it?
  14. Where are you based. You in Blackpool? TT or N/A? What did it fail on?
  15. Pass! Next Question! Seriously, i don't know. I was at the garage when he ran the car and i saw the oil spaying out from where i showed on the picture. Got a call from him today saying a new FMS seems to have solved the problem. Before anyone says he's lying to me, I trust him 100%, he's a family friend. I will have a better explanation tomorrow when i pick up the supe.
  16. Ok, my mechanic has replaced the FMS and this has stopped the leak. (for the meantime anyway). The FMS that came out apparently looked perfectly fine. Could someone explain to me why if the leak is coming from the FMS the oil pump would also need replacing? Is it that a knackered oil pump actually causes the FMS to fail? A basic explanation would be appreciated for us thickos!!
  17. I tend to lean towards the Tangfantastics myself!
  18. Not as far as i'm aware. I have only had the car for about a year and not had any issues until now. I take it this means that a new oil pump would be required?
  19. Ok ladies and gents. A little bit of an update for you. My mechanic has had a butchers and he doesn't think it's the crank seal. He is about 60% it's the oil pump! but can't be sure as he can't run the car without the casing behind pulleys being on. And he can't see where the leak is coming from because it's coming from behind the same casing and it only leaks when the engine is turning over. Catch 22 The oil is spraying (not dripping) out from the back of the oil pressure sensor as shown on the picture. Anyone any ideas?
