  1. I like the lag, as before i got nothing much below 3000 anyway due to the torque converter .. now i get a big hit at 3500 to put a smile on my face... and a little squeal of appreciation from the tyres
  2. Am i right in thinking that if you have an auto that there are pipes going to the main radiator for cooling the oil? Having never really looked at my a/t set up i thought the oil cooler was a seperate part. Looking at the EPC it appears that the tubes go from the transmission to the radiator and back again. SO when i buy a new aftermarket rad i need to specify its for an auto? It may turn out that the only rad i can buy is a manual one, so is one of my options fitting an oil cooler for the transmission? Are these coolers universal or do i ahve to get one specifically for my car ? Help ! cheers adi
  3. When stock the boost came in very very low down the rev range, almost instantly. But that was due to many other factors other than just the parellel setup. the 1JZ was built to have virtually no lag. The stock CT12a's are tiny ceramic units just for this purpose. With the hybrids, its around 3500 before i hit good boost.
  4. Without reading too much of the page, yes its similar to how the 1JZ turbos work., mainly due to the manifold mod.

    Koyo Rads

Anyone heard of them? Are they as good as people say? More to the point.. can anyone supply them in the UK? adi
  6. just been having a measure.. youre right .. it is 4mm
  7. my local rally type place can sell me some 3mm inner diameter (vacuum hose) but not the thin 3-4mm o/d tubing, and its this i need.
  8. does anyone know where i can get some piping to run to my boost gauge? The entry at the back of the gauge looks about 3-3.5mm o/d. I could do with some of that thin hard nylon type tubing.. but dont know what type of place sells it. DIY shops? Plumbers? Also, as for the feed does anyone know if teeing in to the MAP sensor piping should cause any probs? Cheers adi
  9. He may be going on measurements taken from the brakes and wheels fitted to the soarer, perhaps on a slightly different car they may not fit for some reason. adi
  10. hi all.. i was asked to pass this bit of info on.. means nothing to me but hey.. "those that have bought the new brakes, please remind them that their spare will no longer fit on the front, and that unless they have bought the UK spare or have a special spare, they can be left stranded with a flat. I had a quick scan of the site when Matt told about the purchase completing but can't find any mention of this little potential problem. "
  11. I can vouch for Turb tech hybirds.. i've got mine fitted (CT12A) and yes they're on a slightly different engine, but id say they're well worth it. Lag is considerable up until 3000 then it just flies, and they're still running as stock. Speak to Giles ... he really seems to know his stuff. adi
