  1. That might be an idea, as previously i have been getting a low battery warning chirp on my alarm, even though everything is absolutely fine! Cheers Matt Also have you had any luck with bass tubes to go in the back of the Sup. I remember chatting to you about them at the G-Force rolling road.
  2. Hi guys, I do think it is just a loose connection somewhere as it happened all the way in this morning. Ready for the weird stuff though! The side lights also come on when I brake! If I turn the lights on the opposite happens, i.e. the radio interference happens all the time unless I put my foot on the brake, then clean as usual. Also the rear light cluster warning light stays on all the time. I have just had my boost controller wired in so I think it may just be a loose connection as this backlight on this unit is unaffected compared to all the crazy light show which is going on on my dash!!! Figures crossed a quick tweek should sort it.
  3. Hi Guys, You must have heard the story when it starts " a funny thing happened to me the other day" well here we go: Intermittantly when applying the brake pedal the dash lights dim (to the setting night setting) the radio suddenly gets interference and when releasing the brake pedal the rear light warning light comes up on the left section of the dash! I think there may be a loss earth wire somewhere or something but any thoughts? I have just had a boost copntroller wired in and was wondering if something may have been disturbed. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance
  4. Quality. I'm there. Just wanted to get in early i case there are limited spaces!
  5. Mr D Check the clifford website, they have a list of authorised installers given your post code. Basically anyone who is authorised apart from GAP. Good luck, and intellistart is well worth getting, proper james bond style!
  6. Def the Clifford. I have the 300 but with most of the bits for the 600, intellistart, turbo timer, auto window up and the dual zone proximity sensor. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT, GET IT INSTALLED BY GAP SECURITY THOUGH. unless you want amazingly por service and in my experience a company that will cock up your wiring and scratch your car. truely aweful.  Mr D where are you based?
  7. In that case I may have to turn to the dark side and join the paddy field boys and our most honourable sensei Paul E!
  8. budget for about £300 ish and then be plesantly surprised when you find it for less. as for fitting I had Leon do it for me. didn't look the hardest thing to do but I always like getting a pro to do the work.
  9. cool. cheers. its just a bit or reassurance that i'm on the right track.
  10. Here Here. Fuel Cut is evil, especially because the engine light comes on temporarily and you do honestly think, oh Christ and reach for the cheque book!!! After having a full decat with after market exhaust I was hitting Fuel cut. Hopefully the new Blitz DSBC will sort this out. Am I right in thinking that 1.2 bar is pritty much the max I show have it set at for setting 4 with a 1.25 alarm?
  11. see the best BOV induction thread. SS BOV on my Auto now. Lovely.
  12. I took my fog light off as soon as it passed the SVA. I was at Leon's on saturday and he did the rear light clster conversion for me. Looks very neat and soooooooooo much better than having a nasty fog light on the bottom of the bumper.
  13. Excellent. i should be able to get hold of one of those. see you there.
  14. Are there any restrictions on driving on the track, i.e. need a helmet, engine cut switches, roll cage, noise levels etc?
  15. Its a meet, of course I'm in, and promise will try to stay a while and not come with a hangover!
  16. yes, it comes with a little grey holder that just has a half turn to secure it in.
  17. The Toyota garage wanted loads of details on my car before they would give me any details. I didn't what they wanted to hand and haven't got round to sorting it yet! lazy I know but............
  18. It must be the season for bulbs! I've got a couple out as well. When you get yours if you can let em know the part number I need some. Will they be the same for UK and J spec?
  19. i've had the Turbo timer open circuited through my clifford 300 alarm. I have also had the intellistart start fitted. Very cool. Basically if the illegal thing applies to the turbo timer, its going to apply to the intellistart as well which seems made. I can start my car remotely and have it warmed up while still remaining locked and all the promximity sensors activated. the turbo timer then works the same way, hit the button, get out of the car and alarm as usual. The car is alarmed and all sensors activated. after 45 second the engine turns off and immobilises. Once the turbo timer has been set you can still rev the engine should you want? ( why I don't know, but you can) and then it just switches off. With the intellistart one you open the car you must put the key in and press the brake pedal. If you do not do this the car stops and immobilises again staright away. IMHO I think these 2 alarm add on's are brilliant and well worth getting for anyone who doesn't want to sit on the drive every morning and evening, waiting for the engine to warm up and the turbo's to spool down and temperature decrease. I can recommend an alrm fitter in the bucks area who was excellent and put right all the problems that the dim wits at GAP alarms caused.
  20. Hi Pete Interesting. How are things? Who is the the new Dad thing going, still getting sleepless nights? What sort of money are we talking about for your box of tricks and where would you recommend it to be mounted?
  21. nice. Any pictures. i want this gauge to primarily to the business but i don't want it to look out of place!
  22. Quality, Thanks for the advice. Will check this out and hopefully some of the guys going to the meet on Saturday will have gauges that I can have a look at.
  23. Hi Mark Cheers. I am looking at Gauges at the moment, probably something I can mount in the clock space. I like the Greddy 52mm with green light on a black bezel if anyone has one?
  24. I guess the new question is which boost gauge to get! Family will have to wait for Christmas presents I need to by myself and gauge!
  25. Hi Terminator Thanks for the info. i have just spoken to Leon and he recommended keeping off the power unit I can get it up to him. I will def be getting a gauge now. Leon also said not a good idea at all to run it on the rolling road until this is sorted so will ahve to pull out of Saturday's at Aylesbury, but will be there to see how everyone else gets on.
