  1. That's handy, i've just got a pair of uk spec glass headlights - no bulbs - what's the spec for HiD bulbs? As white and bright as possible. (Hope you don't mind me asking on your thread, if it's a no-go wipe me off moderators).
  2. Fook me that's a good advert for you, true marmite but it'll get people looking and talking. I love the look.
  3. Cheers, I'm in eastbourne but work at shoreham so I drive through Brighton most days so we can tie up if Matt changes his mind.
  4. B*ll*x! went off line last night before you put £75 picked up. 'Kin computers Good buy Matt
  5. £65 picked up (I do have a veilside but if, as you say, it comes half way down the back I'll live with that)
  6. Easter weekend would be fine but I'm at work on the saturday so sun or mon would be best for me.
  7. Let it go and start the next project, isn't starting over the best bit?
  8. You own the car and you are the insured so it's your choice if you claim. But.... if they've towed it away and are paying an assessor and storage then if you say you're not proceeding they may charge you, plus if you hit anything, the insurers of whatever you hit will want paying. The other point is what status they give, different categories exist, some are unfit for return to the road, in which case they write it off and pay you money. If it's considered repairable then you can buy it back, that way you are paid the cars worth, (according to the insurer), but buy back at scrap value and can then repair it. If you choose that option, DON'T send your log book off till they agree, the other option is that you can tell the insurers of the independant opinion you have and ask them to use the bodyshop you've chosen? (I wrote off a supra and a skyline GTR - not at the same time - and it can be a pain going through the rigmarole). Good luck with your choice.
  9. looks like we're on for the green man at ringmer, Sunday 2nd mar, anyone want to pick a time?
  10. Ah, that old chestnut, I have an auto. If I want to be a stick wiggler and pretend that makes me faster, I take a stick of celery and every time I put my foot down I give it a shake. Same result and if I'm hungry i've got something to nibble.
  11. That's as near as dammit double figures Green Man. Which date? Saturday 1st March or Sunday 2nd are both OK for me.
  12. A chihuahua and a silverback? (Silverback on top )
  13. I'm heading oop norf tomorrow back to the homeland, 350 mile drive from eastbourne to the lakes and back down saturday so i want lots of "was it you" hits lads 'n lasses Red veilside.
  14. Sounded good and looked fabulous
  15. When I trashed the GTr i made the BIG mistake of leaving the flare in it. There's nothing more fun than driving down brighton seafront with a flare bouncing up and down and gradually pointing at you. (If you've never driven down the seafront it's like a two mile cattle grid).
  16. 1100 hits and only 6 names. All missing out on a nice beer. Sat 1st Mar? Sun 2nd?
  17. Why use the plane anyway? Turn the teadmill round and step on it. Cheapest flight you'll ever take.
  18. Good points well made, mind you, that Johnny was a bit of a numb nuts in 1978 wasn't he.
  19. One of the most stylish cars ever, GULLWING merc, anyone done it to a supra?
  20. I'm lucky enough to have a supra and an R33, the 33's more practical if you need the rear space, but the mpg will still be the low 20's - 23, 24. If you are considering them go on to http://www.skylineowners.com, it's a free site and you'll get an idea of what's available on the "cars for sale" section. They are a good bunch and will help.
  21. Nah....it's BOUND to have a blower.
  22. "18inch Ultralite", now THAT would impress him.
