Well, it's that time of the year where our cars get put away for the horrendous winter period after that lengthy 3-day period of 'The Great British Summer'.
I have bought myself an '82 Scirocco for my winter beast (pics to follow) and I'm now looking at what to do over the winter ready for next year!
The engine is at about 70,000 miles (had a TT conversion so not entirely sure of exact mileage). It had new belts and fluid when the conversion was done.
Here is a list of what I'm thinking of having done:
Aux Belt Tensioner
Crankshaft Pulley Damper
New Belts (may as well)
PS Pump (mine is whiney as hell!)
K-Sports all round - (Need bigger brakes for BPU)
I'm planning on BPU next spring too, so this should all help, my W58 seems to be strong so hopefully it'll hold.
Any other suggestions for maintenance at this juncture? ( If CW is reading this, i'm more than likely taking the car to you, so if you have any thoughts )
Cheers:)
Dan
