    Coolant Problem

As I said I'm not technically minded. Many people probably would have opened that first.

    Coolant Problem

Indeed I was, Me and my Dad just went to look at the car and filled up the radiator/expansion tank as the radiator didn't seem to be filled up to the top. Apparently it seems that the water is not being passed around. Maybe a broken water pump?

Where is the water pump based? Also, sorry if this is a silly question. Is it safe to open the radiator cap (when cold). I haven't opened it yet so no need to be alarmed.

    Coolant Problem

Ah, well I need to get it checked out a.s.a.p as the supra is my daily car. Any places people can recommend (I'm a bit fussy when it comes to people looking at my car). I'm based in the South-London area.

But, I havent checked it to see when/if the level decreases whilst it's at full temp.

    Coolant Problem

Well, one time after i noticed it was creeping up as I pulled off into Halfords, the temp. dropped back down again. Furthermore, it made a sort of "emptying bottle" noise like a dispenser sound (i.e water vendor when you pull the leaver down to release water).
  7. Right, I have a slight problem. I'm not too technically minded so bare with me. I was driving the supra last week Wednesday (25th) [its my day to day car] and I looked down and saw that the temperature gauge was creeping up unusually high (as it normally stays at 50%) so I pulled into halfords which was conveniently local and checked the coolant level... It was empty for some reason which made me think *that's strange* so anyway I bought some coolant from Halfords and topped it up to "Full". Left it running for about 15-20 mins to allow it to run through the system and hooray 50% again. So Problem solved... oh no. Today, same situtation driving along and the temperauture gauge is creeping to the red. So, I pulled over, turned the engine off and checked under the bonnet. The coolant is empty..AGAIN from this morning??? Another walk to Halfords as I didn't fancy taking the car in it's condition, bought another litre of coolant (same brand) and topped it up. Left it ideling for about 15-20mins. Great solved again...no. I've just got home to see how much coolant is remaining....and guess what It's empty again... I can't see any signs of the pipes leaking or any damage to the radiator. What should I be doing/checking? Do I need to do something with the radiator? Also, there appears to be some kind of a 'stain' which I'm sure wasnt there before. It looks as if though something has splattered and dried (see attached photos) any ideas what this could be? Oh, just so people know it's a '94 jspec n/a auto. Any help would be grately appreciated. Thanks, Cliff.

  12. Hey everyone, just wondered if anyone on here uses Facebook? I know some people don't but there are loads of people that do. OK the reason for this thread was that in January 2008 (I know over a year ago) I was at the Supra Ace Cafe meet and took quite a few pictures. So recently just looking through them I wondered if people on here could either spot themselves or their car? If you feel like looking search for "Clifford David Fitzpatrick" My profile is the one of me and my girlfriend when we went to Universal Studios, Los Angeles. Happy Looking
  13. Would the tape be something to worry about Dean?
  14. Hey Guys/Girls, Quick Problem/Question, I've Noticed that after I've driven my car for around 20 minutes or more, there is something that makes a fuzzing/hissing noise. Not sure what it is but it is coming from this device (see picture). Furthermore, I'm not sure if that wire is supposed to be taped up like that? Anybody have an idea/recommendations about what it is and/or what I could do? Thanks, Cliff
  15. Its so it can glide to safety if ever driven off a cliff
  16. Looks clean and tidy went past you in the opposite direction in my Girlfriends car. Funny thing is I never see another Supra when I'm in my own, but as soon as I use an alternative vehicle... Sure enough I'll see a Supra.
  17. Nice looking car, as Jamie and Lui said some nice UK glass headlamps will go down a treat. Look after her
  18. Looks great, I wouldn't trust myself to do it alone. Would appreciate some help
  19. Happy Birthday Guys, soon you'll all be trading your supra's in for a freedom pass. Have a Great day though
