  1. Well managed to fix issue, turns out the tail light fuse had blown and also the tailgate relay had gone, good thing i carry lots of spares in garage so didn't have to order and wait for parts, so pleased was able to sort it, just gutted missed japfest today
  2. Hi guys really after some help, this morning was meant to be going japfest but noticed no rear lights when started car, got misses to double check and when brake and turn lights on nothing is working, still have rear indicators which is one thing, i also have no front side lights, when mocked up side lights they were working fine. But now they also not working.. wondering are the sidelights on same circuit as rear & brakes light? I have also checked fuses in kick panel but couldn't find damaged fuse, am going to push car out and double check soon, i have also tried 3 rear brake light modules as have spares and still no joy, so guessing its nothing to do with lamp module. Any ideas would be really apricated as not sure where to look or check next If it helps i am running facelift headlights and indicators, all other lights work on dash
  3. Cheers mate, I really love the way she sounds now. Oh yes very loud just what i was after, haven't tried the silencer's let lol.
  4. Right this morning was up early at mates garage to fit my new Tomei titanium exhaust system, ready for sunday japfest. We didn't mess about getting old Veilside exhaust off, and then was straight forward process fitting new exhaust. Took plenty pictures and also couple video's.

  8. I haven't got the Whifbitz manifold but have the SSI and they are all the same more or less, i had to buy PHR relocation kit but for mine and also there is no mounting points for wire loom so i have just tucked mine under the manifold. The other points cant help with as GE and haven/t gone drive by wire route yet
  9. Well collected the car today from paint, and am so over the moon, they have done great job fitting bumper and she is looking stunning, plus had the new tyres fitted today so very productive day, just need to fit exhaust saturday and give her a very good wash and clean.

  16. No i didn't do flow test on the stock head before started machining, in way wish i had as would of been awesome to see difference
  17. Cheers bud was mission and a half, we have a 5 axis Hurco Mill with bluetooth probe, so was able to use that to map inside of head then using VXF software design 3D image of head and then worked out slowly how much to open the ports, i can't take all th credit cause the software on that machine is amazing and gives you tool options when building a program, its on another level of machining.. i prefer the old school machines. I cant remember about a pocket and the diameter of ports as was back in 2018 i think did the head, i still have the program at work so can always use the VXF software to see what tools used as really can't remenber, the joys of getting older lol
  18. On to latest update... I am collecting car Wednesday from paint in morning and have got her booked in Wednesday afternoon to get the new tyres fitted and tracking all done, which am super happy about as now can go to Japfest Sunday at Silverstone, few weeks ago i treated her to new Tomie Expreme TI Full Titatuim exhaust and it turned up friday so really happy abot that aswell. so this weekend i have repainted garage ready for her and should have new exhaust on Saturday ready for japfest
  19. Was totally gutted after accident but i was unhurt just my pride and wallet were going to suffer, i don't think my tyres helped the situation at all as they were 6 years old and were only cheap tyres that fitted to car when started build as only thought would take me 1 year to build her, how wrong i was. 1st thing decided to buy set of facelift headlights and then got her new facelift indicators and Ridox front bumper, then i treated her to all 4 new Michelin pilot Sport 4s. Few weeks ago she went to paint to have new rear window seal fitted and bootlid repaired, plus rear wiper delete and ariel delete plus paint and fit new bumper, plus repaint roof and give all bodwork touch up
  20. After driving her for couple months decided to go back to MGT to get Tacho issue sorted as for some reason the tachco wasn't showing the revs, but while driving there i hit something on road suspect oil and lost control was only doing 50mph and was just about to put her in 5th and totally lost the back end and despite my best efforts i couldn't catch her, and ended up backwards on grass verge, this was the last thing i needed after so many years building her but lucky was just bumper and passenger headlight
  21. In July 2022 after buying new house, 2 years of covid and major knee surgery she finally went to MGT for mapping Block Forged CP pistons 9.0.1 Forged Eagle Rods New Toyota Crank ACL Race Bearings ARP Conrod bolts ARP Head Studs ARP Mains New Toyota TT Oil pump New Toyota Water pump New Toyota oil pick up and sump Welded crank sprocket New Toyota N/A head gasket and all new Toyota gaskets and seals Whifbitz Billet cambelt tensioner New Toyota Tensioner Racing Lines thermostatic oil sandwich plate with 25 row oil cooler All new Toyota sensors Vibra-technics fast road engine mounts Titan Motorsport version 2 crank damper Head Match Ported and Polished head, also skimmed BC 264 Cams BC Springs Ferrea Valve stem oil seals Ferrea Valves and Collets New Toyota Retainers & Buckets HKS Adjustable cam verniers Drivetrain 4.5kg Competition lightweight flywhhel Whifbitz Stage 3+ Clutch Arp Flywheel bolts Engine Whifbitz NA-T Kit 1000cc FIC Injectors SSI Inlet Mainfold Custom Fuel system with Billet fuel hanger and twin 255 Walbro pumps R35 Coil conversion kit PHR Oil breather PHR Power steering relocation kit NX Wet Nos kit (not using at moment) Tweak'ed custom engine loom Suspension and Brakes BC Racing Coilover New Toyota TT Front brakes Refurbed jspec rear calipers Whifbitz Adjustable Front & Back Anti roll bars with new Toyota drop links Do-Luck Braided brake lines Wheels & Exhaust 18inch Inovit TE Wheels 25mm Hub-centric spacers on rear & 20mm on front Veilside Evolution ii exhaust ECU Link G4+ On the Dyno she made 507 bhp at rear wheels with 398lbft, which was very happy with after so many years she was finally back on the road and was great fun to drive
  22. During my build i also decided to paint engine and port and polish the head a work on my CNC machine, and just kept buying new uprated parts, I think the only parts didn't replace was the block, head and rocker covers, everything else is brand new from Toyota or uprated parts, in next post will list all the parts but for now here is some of the main pictures from my build
  23. After while using the Nos i wanted to uprate the drivetrain with a short shifter, lightened flywheel and paddle clutch....but unfortunately the garage i chose to do the work didn't use fit the new flywheel bolts i supplied and fitted the clutch bearing the wrong way round, the car didn't feel right while driving but i just assumed it was the paddle clutch wearing but one night driving to work, i started to hear a horrible rattle from engine so limped her to work, and in morning i called tow truck to take her home, i suspected the bottle end had gone and decided to pull engine out and do NA-T basic build but on strip down i found the bearing and crank where fine and only when removed clutch did i find 3 flywheel bolts loose and clutch bearing on wrong way round, to say wasn't happy was an understatement. This happened in October 2016, so after few weeks unsure of what best route was as had fully stripped block and didn't make sense to fit old pistons and rods i decided to do a fully forged build to future proof the car, and that's where my long expensive 6 year build started, first I treated myself to new pistons and rods and block honed, decked acid cleaned and then repainted.
  24. Right thought best do thread detailing build and ongoing progress with my build, I did have thread on old forum but never uploaded the pictures properly so it didn't come across to new forum style. I will start at the beginning but will keep it short and sweet. I purchased my supra as a standard manual 5 speed NA back in June 2011 with 69,000 miles on clock for £3,500, and used her as my main car for over 3years driving her in all weather all year round, during that time was always thinking about doing NA-T build and starting researching ideas and following other peoples NA-T builds. I was never happy with the stock bumper so after year i decided to treat her to Bomex front bumper which did really love the way she looked with new front end. After 3 &1/2 years of owning car treated myself to daily so could do more with supra and have her as weekend toy, starting doing the basic upgrades with the NA lump and getting her handling better, but i wanted more power and decided to have a custom Nos kit designed and installed on her and the difference was amazing while using the Nos she was great to drive but did go through alot of bottle refills as was very addictive. Was only using 75 shot but still took her down Santa pod and she ran a 15.01 which at time i was very happy with. Few pictures from day i got her and then with Bomex bumper fitted
