I do remember an orange sticker somewhere on the front, but I'm not sure - I was rushing from work to uni to submit an assignment! Would have been easier If I could remember the licence plate.. -
I saw practically the same car, but a '94ish model with 40k, looked almost identical for 3.5k I was going to buy it instead of my TT at the time..

Right, just a question really - I notice most turbo supra's, subaru's, evo's etc generally sport a large aftermarket exhaust/backbox.. with regards to performance, is doing this actually beneficial? If a) you fit a larger bore exhaust system, or b) you fit a large backbox and pipe - will you see an increase in performance with either? Bought mine with an aftermarket cat-back system fitted, and got to thinking really. A turbo would benefit from not having much back pressure and free-er flowing exhaust fumes I would've thought as they turn the turbo? or am I way off. Just woundering really as it's something I notice all the time but wounder if people do it for performance or just appearance/sound.. cheers:)

Anyone on here? A black supe, didn't really get much detail as you shot off from the roundabout by the library at about 7.15, I was coming around just after you turning off to the library! Looked nice!

completely unintentionally too! I hit a massive bit of ice before an a-road in the supra! Was doing 20 mph out from the the bend, (very gradual, forgiving bend) but then when I got on the straight, out of no where, on about 3k revs, WHOOSH, the back end tries to overtake! It wasn't an issue as it's something ive learnt to deal with on various track/event days, but never as badly as this on the road! the problem was, that after slip control kicked in, there was a surge of grip! The car started to spin, at a 45 degree angle, I eased off the throttle, and corrected steering and grappled with the car a bit, and got it under control - luckily, no one was in the second lane otherwise they would have had a teeny bit of my rear quarter in their door The irony is, the whole journey I had people in passatts etc flashing me to speed up!! my friend actually wet herself (good thing for leather seats I suppose) I found it more exhilerating than scary (sure it would have been different if I cartwheeled into something!), but it's good to know that any events, drift and track days I've done have gone somewhere to helping me on the road when things go wrong!!! It's icy out there!!

Thanks all, bought the new mech from my toyota dealership for £63, and fitted it myself in about an hour!

I've found a list of the error codes, but I'm confused! The exclamation light shows intermittantley - it'l be on, I drive some more, it's off, I go over a bump, its back on and will go off at random.. I've read it could it could be a frayed cable shorting causing it to go on, (I've had this on my coupe) but thought I'd ask - do I need to check engine faults, or is this likely to be it? No other lights are lit, and I'm not aware of any problems. Cheers!

I'd say 4k if you're lucky at this time of the year - christmas combined with the season really won't do well for cars, especially motless etc...

I like to think that maybe he was trying to go off to the left rather than follow the highway to the right where it almost forks off, because I'd hate to think anyone could be that sick minded.. but, optimism and everything.. edit: and even if they were securing the suspect, hy did NO ONE tend to the supra driver, even the policement WALKING back to their cars?!

ah could well have been you! sorry should have added it was a uk spec! I was headed the other way to the shell station

I would've thought it was the project managers duty to provide contractural evidence that between the third party and the project managers company, this arangement had been made. If you chase the third party and they say there was no proof, I think the project manager will be liable. He's the one you should be chasing imo, as he placed the order with you. If he can't physically proove that he made the third party aware that they would be covering the cost of your work, then it is his responsibility entirely. I'd pursue him for proof that this agreement had been made in some shape or form (a letter of intent or contract for example, even general emails would help). If he can't do that, it's all on him really - it says to me that he hasnt approached the company in regards to the payment, and he has some legal issues on his hands. Where as if he can provide adequate proof, then you go to the third party and state that both the order and (contract, emails or whatever) state that it's their responsibility, and they were fully aware of it. I would've thought that after legal action you'd get your money one way or another eventually. They said you should pursue cost from the third party, but if they had no agreement or authorization to do this, they don't have much to stand on. I'm a quantity surveyor/contracts surveyor, but only a trainee at the moment - so I base that on what I've heard with similar issues at work, but I can check with some of the guys at the office next time i'm in, if it'l help!

window put up and then a loud click or snap.. wound it down slightly to check it was ok, and it fell into the door, an dyep in this weather, no windows is very bad. I've done a bit of searchnig, but I have no screwdrivers (gramps has my tool set) but I've gathered the part I need is £70? can anyone confirm this or suggest what might need looking at, or even a temporary solution? its typical, we have no tape in the house (which is no good anyway as a plastic sheet would set off the alarm all night long) It's typical, all these things are going before I try and sell up to afford moving out! if anyone is selling a window mech, thatd be great too!

sounds like a traffic master to me, you'll find em on country roads quite often..

Saw you late last night, possibly about 11.30, turning just before the small roundabout leading to victoria park.. waved but then realised that tinted windows at night arent the greatest when it comes to visibility!

lol, yep - first thing I tried - that's when I first realised there was a problem, I fitted my new bulbs and noticed a - the old ones weren't broken, and b - the new ones didn't work either!
-
just a thought really, but one headlight was out weeks before this one - yet as far as I can see, the bulb hasn't blown either. now I can hear the relay click, which suggests the switch and relay are fine, and the fact that they didnt blow simultaneously suggests it is neither a switch or relay - are the headlight fuses definatley in the bonnet fuse box? I'm running out of ideas if so, as everything is pointing towards blown fuses?
-
thanks robin - My granddad's burrowed my multi meter, but from what I've gathered, the switch is fine as you hear the click in the bonnet when you engage it - this would indicate that the relay was fine too but I'm not sure so will check the wiring to the lights for any faults and see where that brings me!
-
it's usually the 1st december for us.. bit early though, seen a few already!
-
Thanks - I tried that a little earlier, but nothing had blown which has left me thinking it's a relay? not that i'm sure why it would be?
