  2. oh does it just get dry joints? okay ill take it off 2morrow and bring it to work 2morrow night and try.. thanks
  3. the right hand warning lights panel does not seem to work i.e. oil lights and engine managment light but the normal centre dash one works as does the left hand panel.. I have taken it off and it is plugged in and it has lamps in it... where is it fed from?? any ideas where i need to look:rolleyes: thanks

  5. awesome.. is it a better car like you hoped..
  6. sorry but i prefer pre face lift.. but each to their own.. we all are different
  7. ageed as above.. i would never trust someone on ebay what its been mapped to.. and you would need to be mapped specifically to your car.. best off new
  8. very nice car.. what back bumper is that?? cheers
  9. okay i did just do the master cylinder... i shall have a look at that too.. i found i had to fill the master cylinder with fluid before refitting it as trying to get it to come through from the reservoir was a pig.. assumed this was normal... hmm i really wanna sort all this myself without putting it into a garage as i know of none round here i trust and i wanna be doing all my own owrk and there is only 1 way to lear.. thanks very much for you help so far chris..
  10. okay. well i bleed it through at the weekend and see how that goes.. put new fluid through-out... if still no luck then ill try the slave cylinder...
  11. as an extra person for ya .. Yes... i had one on my auto TT
  12. okay after some thinking (ouch). etc it could still be air in the system after doing the bleed.. and the air is warming and expanding as the car gets hotter..? gonna try bleeding it through again at the weekend
  13. me and the wife almost bought one as our family car.. stunning car.. loved it.. jsut decieded we did not need something that big.. so we have a 2.8 v6 4motion golf.. but i would still love a st tdci 155 as a work horse.. i think they look good.. nice car..
  14. well its getting there slowly i have looked at ajusting the clutch master cylinder lever to the pedal.. at it will not screw up towards the pedal anymore.. so must be on it max.. unless i raise the clutch pedal itself a little.. but now found that when cold and running the bite point is just above half way.. but as i use the car more and it warms up.. after about 15 miles the bite is back at the top of the pedal travel again.. but if i then park up the car and come back to it a few hours later after its cold again.. its back to being mid way.. am i right in thinking it is most likely going to be a new clutch? if so what sort of prices would i look at to get it changed? and any recomendations for anywhere in kent? unless there is some sort of adjustment i am missing.. thanks
  15. or where abouts in kent would look at it??? any info would be great cheers
  16. cool beans.. thanks something else to do at the weekend
  17. go for the supra with out any shadow of a doubt out of your choice of cars there.. i have tried a lot of cars and come back for m 2nd supra.. also i always found that toyota's are quite a bit cheaper to insure than other cars of a less spec.. skylines scoob's etc etc WELCOME
  18. cool thanks yeah i did it myself... its just the guts of the master cylinder.. the rod etc nothing else has changed the put int he repair kit.. new spring and seals.. so with the rod i want it turn it so it goes in towards the pedal yeah? not towards the master cylinder... is that right thanks
  19. yep as above.. good work..
  20. Hi all hopefully this is my last clutch question My Master cylinder was letting by badly and the bite was almost on the floor now its all rebuild drives and feels fine.. but now the bite is really high.. is there anything else that would cause this or could it be the clutch wearing out if the guy left the master cylinder as it was for a while and the clutch slipped causing extra wear,. if so when it starts to slip ill look at a new clutch.. but just wanted to make sure i am not missing any thing.. i.e. could be leaking or extra bleeding but if it was those surely the bite would be at the floor.. just wanna make sure there is no adjustment or anything.. but it drives fine and there at the moment is no slipping just the bite is at the top of the pedal travel cheers
